quick tip for your future runs: you don't actually have to get past the birds to get to godrick. the elevator at the liftside grace is usable right away. also, rushing rennala when she is preparing her laser makes it wiff if you are close to her (quickstep should be fast enough)
for future reference, Inescapable Frenzies damage is based on the critical multiplier of your other weapon, so it was using you shield for damage, so if you had your dagger equipped it would have instantly killed Gideon
the wiki says it uses the weapon in the right hand, so I don't think the shield matters because it was in my left hand, but puttng that shield away would have removed the buff. Having the seal in the right hand didn't help though lol, something i'll keep in mind if there is ever an instance I have to use it on him again, but having done this an madness only, i'm not sure
I've heard someone claim this was patched, and now the spell correctly uses the crit mulitplier of the seal used to cast it (so 100 no matter what) Haven't tested it myself though. I'm not sure if dagger talisman works either

Gotta say this is probably the most entertaining Elden Ring challenge run video I've seen. The way you used completely different strats and prepped for every boss was so much more enjoyable to watch then the kinda challenge run where they just pick up Flame of the Redmanes and cheese the whole game with it irregardless of the run

I did a very similar run to this a few months ago - with Torrent and spirit summons allowed but non-mandatory ladders banned. Great to see the concept as a proper UA-cam video. Very different strategy as well - I went high intelligence and abused Comet Azur while using spirit summons as meat shields, and you stayed focused on melee.
The quality of your videos has gone up a ton. I love your videos. Can't wait to see what torture ... uh I mean challenge ... you come up with for the next video.

I'm not sure if you take suggestions but I'll toss one out there. Have you considered ash of war runs? Beating the game using only an ash of war? If so may I recommend "Golden Land". Might make for an interesting challenge. If you know what golden land is and how it works I guess go ahead and skip the rest of this, if not (or you just want a little more insight on it) then here we go. Golden Land: is a skill that consists of 4 parts the first 3 happen on the first button press. 1: slam the weapon into the ground. 2: unleash a holy explosion. 3: and then fire off a series of holy beams This part costs 16fp, the 4th hit which requires a heavy attack input will cause you to lunge into a broad forward sweeping attack for an additional 5fp making the whole skill cost 21fp altogether minus the carian filligreed talisman (I unfortunately forgot to check the cost with it). That's the basic layout for it time for some nuances. The 1st and 4th hit deal physical damage which helps against holy resistant enemies because the 2nd and 3rd deal exclusively holy damage, the whole thing deals great poise damage but the final hit especially does. Now the best thing about this skill and what I'd call its bread-n-butter is those beams on the third attack, they not only deal pretty good damage but they have *REALLY LONG* range, pretty much equal to your maximum natural lock-on range and maybe even a little further. This allows the skill to be used at very long range, yeah it's just the 3rd part of it hitting, but on the right build those beams deal good damage on their own. Other nuances the beams possess tracking but only on their point of origin, they won't curve towards. The beams will only track if you lock-on *before* engaging the skill, if you engage then lock-on the beams will just shoot everywhere which also means that you can't free aim from a greater distance, without a pre established lock they won't target anything. Lastly if you engage while locked then switch target the beams will still hit the first enemy while you use the follow-up sweep on another. Now how to get it. The golden land ash of war is found near the beginning of deep root depths on a teardrop scarab... Not ideal, but, there is another way. The stonedigger troll boss in the old altus tunnel on the altus plateau drops the great club which has golden land on it, the room is full of exploding barrels, if you use fire arrows you can blow it up and make the joke that you didn't kill it the barrels did lol cause you seems pretty dedicated to staying within your own guidelines. Anyway the club has no faith scaling so the only real way to boost damage is by upgrading the weapon itself, recommended to acquire the ash version to better control the scaling on a different preferably longer weapon (for the sweep attack). Sorry this was so long, hope the information helps not just you doom but anyone else who read all the way through this.
I have technically done a ash of war only run, when I did the Dovahkiin video I only used shouts from Ashes of War (funnily enough It didn't occur to me until after someone else mentioned it lol) Anyway, thanks for the suggestion! I do like using obscure items to beat the game, so maybe I will :)

Samurai would have worked just as well, starts with a bow then just get a knife from Round table hold / quickstep AoW from Bernahl. the buckler is after Margit, but other shields can parry too but agreed, Bandit was perfect
the thing about Varre's quest is, you don't have to win OR lose, just invade someone then use the finger severer, do that until you've invaded 3 times and you can progress
@@DoomWolfOfficial there is a new npc (that one that uses the star colossal weapon thing that heals you per-hit), you can die to him 3 times and go to varre. Edit: i believe it got added in 1.6/1.7, my brain is still fried so i don't remember
Hi very nice video a tip for Mohg when he does the rain of blood (or any blood attack) you can parry it with carian retaliation it makes the fight really easier and for Gideon there is a cheese that Gino does. He enters the arena with assassin's gambit, goes to the left side of it and throw poison and rot pots at him (you don't need rot pot it's just to go faster) and that's it Gideon does not aggro at all just staying here in the poison wondering what's happening XD
Oh thanks for the tip about Mohg! I actually watched a video recently about stealth in ER and yeah, some bosses have that neat little ...mechanic, for stealth lol

lmao there were a couple times early on where I felt like that, but by the end I felt a little more...calm, almost like I reached a place of zen during the run lol
I recently replayed Dark Soul 1, an YT recommended me some of your DkS1 videos, which were purely comedic, so I thought you are just a memer. I am finishing this video, and man this must have been cancer to do, but this video was really interesting to me and I am super impressed. I have 1k+ hours in ER so I have some idea how crazy some of these things have been to achieve.

No wonder why, as it is pure madness Few notes/observations 10:11 That is actually what I wrote after meeting an Abductor Virgin at Ray Lucaria, when doing Mirror Knight cosplay. Weapon is great on its own. 26:05 This situation I met and it seems, that Status effect triggered on falling body will not affect Duo's Healthbar. Also, they are teamed up, what begs for Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike :) 29:00 Are you sure it is holy? Some may say its magic, but holy makes more sense 32:00 Unintenionally great weapon choice, as he becomes weak to Slash and Magic in 2nd phase 45:58 Well, all dragons (even nondragon Dragonlord Placidusax) has low Pierce Resistance. Here I would consider using Gravity Bolt, as it deals high damage. 49:20 One time I saw someone getting rid of those 2 ballistas with Elden Stars. One of the instances when this spell proved useful. Malenia - proc Frostbite, but no Fire after. Frostbite gives 20% more damage, what is a lot.
Thanks for all the notes my friend! Malenia taking extra damage from frostbite is helpful, but the 2% max HP burn from black flame blade is more helpful lol, _and_ if she decided to do a second waterfowl if the frost bite was still on it wouldn't work (though in this run that wouldn't matter as it's necessary for phantom clones so)
I don't think anyone will see this, but, Doom Wolf you are my absolute favorite Elden Ring youtuber, you are so frickin fun to watch compared to pretty much everyone else.
You can skip the draconic tree sentinel but going through a trapped chest in the weeping peninsula. It takes you to the divine bridge and you can go down the elevator. There's another fun glitch to get in early when the elevator is disabled with the exploding physic
No weapon upgrades, no spirit upgrades, all bosses run. I want you to do a truly high level run and this seems like it would be a decent test of your patience.
No weapon upgrades can probably be nullified by status effects, no spirit upgrades is easy as that's most of my runs anyway lol, and all bosses...as in all 168? that's a lot but doable, could be fun though! Just to try my hand at weaker weapons!
30:30 Inescapable Frenzies damage is actually based on the physical and critical stat on whatever weapon you have equipped on your right hand. Not talisman or faith level. Also the weapon needs to have a reposte animation or the damage won’t be calculated so bows, whips, talismans and staff would do nothing for you if you used it. If you had the dagger on your right hand when you used it you would have one shot him even without the jellyfish buff.
@@DoomWolfOfficial well if you ever decide to do a “Ghost Rider” run now you know. I tried making a cosplay for it in with the giants whip and rose whip but didn’t realize it hindered me when I used the move to mimic Penance Stare. Now I switch to spike fist with endure to land the hit in duels if I decide to use it.
You should do a challenge run that makes it so you can’t use any consumables so anything that once you use it reduces in number you can’t use that means no healing you should also make it so there is a limit to how much you can level mind and vigor
I learn. So much from you in these boss fights. Example being the holy attack charge up swing for radagon And the fact you can jump over the claw beast waves .__.

Flame of the redmanes was in my notes if I ever needed it, but the Miyazaki was like "nah we gonna nerf that" lol

Samurai would have worked just as well, starts with a bow then just get a knife from Round table hold / quickstep AoW from Bernahl.

the thing about Varre's quest is, you don't have to win OR lose, just invade someone then use the finger severer, do that until you've invaded 3 times and you can progress
I knew that would work with players, does it also work with the NPC? I'll have to try if I ever need to get to Mohg early again haha
@@DoomWolfOfficial there is a new npc (that one that uses the star colossal weapon thing that heals you per-hit), you can die to him 3 times and go to varre.

Hi very nice video a tip for Mohg when he does the rain of blood (or any blood attack) you can parry it with carian retaliation it makes the fight really easier and for Gideon there is a cheese that Gino does. He enters the arena with assassin's gambit, goes to the left side of it and throw poison and rot pots at him (you don't need rot pot it's just to go faster) and that's it Gideon does not aggro at all just staying here in the poison wondering what's happening XD

I recently replayed Dark Soul 1, an YT recommended me some of your DkS1 videos, which were purely comedic, so I thought you are just a memer. I am finishing this video, and man this must have been cancer to do, but this video was really interesting to me and I am super impressed. I have 1k+ hours in ER so I have some idea how crazy some of these things have been to achieve.

Few notes/observations
10:11 That is actually what I wrote after meeting an Abductor Virgin at Ray Lucaria, when doing Mirror Knight cosplay. Weapon is great on its own.
26:05 This situation I met and it seems, that Status effect triggered on falling body will not affect Duo's Healthbar. Also, they are teamed up, what begs for Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike :)
29:00 Are you sure it is holy? Some may say its magic, but holy makes more sense
32:00 Unintenionally great weapon choice, as he becomes weak to Slash and Magic in 2nd phase
45:58 Well, all dragons (even nondragon Dragonlord Placidusax) has low Pierce Resistance. Here I would consider using Gravity Bolt, as it deals high damage.
49:20 One time I saw someone getting rid of those 2 ballistas with Elden Stars. One of the instances when this spell proved useful.
Malenia - proc Frostbite, but no Fire after. Frostbite gives 20% more damage, what is a lot.

Malenia taking extra damage from frostbite is helpful, but the 2% max HP burn from black flame blade is more helpful lol, _and_ if she decided to do a second waterfowl if the frost bite was still on it wouldn't work (though in this run that wouldn't matter as it's necessary for phantom clones so)

You can skip the draconic tree sentinel but going through a trapped chest in the weeping peninsula. It takes you to the divine bridge and you can go down the elevator. There's another fun glitch to get in early when the elevator is disabled with the exploding physic
Yeah someone else mentioned that, I thought the elevator wouldn't work until after coming at it from the other side, but apparently not lol
No weapon upgrades, no spirit upgrades, all bosses run. I want you to do a truly high level run and this seems like it would be a decent test of your patience.
No weapon upgrades can probably be nullified by status effects, no spirit upgrades is easy as that's most of my runs anyway lol, and all bosses...as in all 168? that's a lot but doable, could be fun though! Just to try my hand at weaker weapons!
30:30 Inescapable Frenzies damage is actually based on the physical and critical stat on whatever weapon you have equipped on your right hand. Not talisman or faith level. Also the weapon needs to have a reposte animation or the damage won’t be calculated so bows, whips, talismans and staff would do nothing for you if you used it. If you had the dagger on your right hand when you used it you would have one shot him even without the jellyfish buff.
well, any weapon would have done more than 0 lol, we will just pretend I didn't know that on purpose to make the challenge harder ;)
@@DoomWolfOfficial well if you ever decide to do a “Ghost Rider” run now you know. I tried making a cosplay for it in with the giants whip and rose whip but didn’t realize it hindered me when I used the move to mimic Penance Stare. Now I switch to spike fist with endure to land the hit in duels if I decide to use it.
That thing you are doing in Church of Elleh in the beginning is essentially the can't walk version of running around in circles.

You should do a challenge run that makes it so you can’t use any consumables so anything that once you use it reduces in number you can’t use that means no healing you should also make it so there is a limit to how much you can level mind and vigor
one time use item could be fun!
I believe the Winged Scythe might have had a change to make the jump to the gazebo with its AOW
I don't think I've ever seen that AoW, but even if it can good luck making the rest of the jumps lol
