Nice Job! I love those five airports--but have never taken them all in one bite. Georgetown is my favorite, for the awesome view you get going in and coming out. I once lost power there--going out--which made for some pucker!
I turned to nearby Auburn, first, but eventually got home to Yolo County AP, safely. Problem was a piece of dirt partly blocking one carburetor jet. By reducing throttle to 3/4th, I was okay; it was just an issue at full power.
Nice approaches Mark. I saw a bit of wind sheer just prior to touch down at Auburn. And why does Nevada Co. Airport need or have a 4300 foot runway? Fire Service AC?
That was the highest elevated airport at over 3000'. I suspect it's partly due to the high density altitude... thinner air=faster ground speed=longer landing distance. but I'm sure this is only part of the reason and I'm just speculating.
just subscribed to your channel, nice job on the videos! Question...can you please tell me what brand/type of prop filter you are using on the GoPro? it does a great job of eliminating the banana effect of the prop. thanks
Thanks, I looked into the prop filtering awhile back and found a cheap solution. I purchased some NDF gel filters off of eBay and they came in 3-4 different shades. I just kept playing with them until I got the right layering that best worked. I don't recall what the equivalent F-stop it resulted in, but seems to work. Just cut the gel sheets and tape them over your lens. crazy easy...
Seems like there's quite a few very underrated and/or unknown great airports to visit in CA.

Yuk. a bit of a canyon off of Georgetown. At least your decent to the valley floor would be visually appealing :) That must have been scary!
where did you end up?
