Lionel Scaloni was a jr coach, so his lower pay makes sense,. Same for Lozano (I am surprised they were willing to pay him that much). Before his rehire, Berhalter had a base salary of 1.3 million a year (he got a 900K bonus in 2022 for the World Cup). Canada paid John Herdman about 500 thousand a year before he quit.
Peru messed up sooo bad trying to pay Gareca less, only for him to leave then hire a replacement who they had to fire and pay his contract anyway and hire Fossati 🤦♂️ all which added up to more than they would have payed Gareca in the first place… only to have Gareca as a rival with Chile and probably gonna get violated in the group stage by them.
No, not even close. Overpaid is more like it. But now, imagine a sports program that is legal bound to pay the Varsity and Intramural Club coaches the exact same salary. So, if an expensive but quality Varsity coach is available to grow the program, overall, they will end up overpaying in the end, if they pursue this growth at all, because the Intramural Club coach must be paid exactly the same! Forget the fact that the Intramural Club doesn't feed into the Varsity pipeline much less make any real money oh no, they TAKE half of the money owed to the varsity players! Intramural Club titles are cute and all, but they don't count, don't grow the program, and no one outside niche followers actually care.
No thats just BS certain people in the media world like to spew. If that was even true then the USSF would be responsible for creating that dynamic anyways. It's just an excuse people use to cover the USSF's horrible hire.
Forget about Berhalter, hes never won anything of significance- if anyone is criminally underpaid on this list its Scaloni!
Anyone could be a coach for Mexico or USA. But to be a coach for Brazil of Uruguay you have to be highly qualified.
Brazil 👀 4.0M for 6th place
Argentina grossly underpaid
Jaime Lozano his pay reflects the quality of the team.

Berhalter is a vastly subpar coach. He’s undoubtedly overpaid.
I want to know the 2024 Copa America prize money for the teams.
if anything lionel scaloni is underpaid
Is that per year or cycle? I assume per year.
Per Yr

Scaloni is under paid
Berhalter is overpaid. What is Deschamps making?
GGG out!!!
What success has Gregg had
Jimmy Lozano doesn’t deserve to get pay more he hasn’t earn it
BERHALTER OUT!
Gregg is over paid
If I understood this right, we might have to limit our coaches due to needing to pay the women’s coach the same?
They've never done that. Vlatko was paid 300k last year. There's an effort to keep the salaries closer to parity, but not equal.

Yeah they don't wanna pay the men coach(GGG doesn't deserve it) because it hurts women feelings
