    Take a pin and paper, put marks or take notes for your current setup = Starting setup. Then make DRAMATIC changes and drive below and creep up to your pace. Then go the other way from what you did, again DRAMATIC changes and take notes along the way. I am the same way with how you said other drivers feel differently about camber. I was told to do negative and I needed positive which gave me more bite. But I also had new tires and heard positive on fresh tires and take it little by little back to negative as the tires wear out.

    Thank you for the video! I would offer some feedback though - the diagrams could have been shown a little bit longer for the new learners to study them, it was a little bit too quick to memorise it. Everything else was great, you are explaining it very understandably. This is a great series, please keep up posting these setup videos, I’m sure a lot of people appreciates it, certainly I do!

    Hey Ryan, thanks a lot for these videos, waiting for the next ones! One suggestion is if you can include wet conditions in these videos, obviously what you explain about handling is mostly dry conditions, it would be interesting to see the wet conditions as well.

    • @NorbergNation
      @NorbergNation  4 роки тому +2

      All this applies to wet conditions as well. It all does the same stuff just the track has no grip because it’s wet.

      Look into costs to race in the catagory you choose. The faster you go, the higher the costs with karting, and when you have a 2stroke, costs can be quite alot to start.

      @@christianbuczko1481 yeah thanks for the advice. I’ve been looking and trying to weigh costs and benefits. Wanted to race 125cc but then figured i definitely couldn’t afford that, but I still wanted to be in a more competitive class (more competitive than lo206) so I just decided I think 100cc is probably best to gauge everything out.

    I love good Caster, it feels so good when you brake and turn, it gives you a lot of grip, it’s easy to be aggressive.

    Interesting. I’ve never run positive camber on any race car or kart. Mostly neutral with karts and then when you sit in the kart, the chassis flexes and goes slightly negative. Also we run 4.5 degrees of negative on the front of my SRF3 race car. As the car leans on the outside tire it allows for better surface contact as the tire is basically then neutral to the track surface

    Hey Ryan! Love your videos man. I’m going into my second season and your videos are already giving me good insight to things I need to correct. Question regarding making the adjustments to caster/camber. If I remember correctly (and I could be horribly wrong). The caster/camber pill has a bunch of little holes that you can use to adjust the caster/camber setting. Is there a way to adjust each individually? Or does adjusting one automatically adjust the other? Sorry for the long question, but I hope to hear back! Thanks :)

      Hey Ethan! I can’t speak too much about it because I’m still trying to grow mine but, as far as I know, Don’t be afraid to try something new. Post your best races but think of stuff that hasn’t been done before and try and create an audience in that area.

    Thanks for the visual aids, those helped clarify a lot. One thing: what does "center off" mean? You said "only negative camber adds grip center off the corner." Is "center" the apex?

    • @NorbergNation
      @NorbergNation  3 роки тому +1

      Yes you’re correct! Apex of the corner to exit is what I’m trying to say. A lot of what I say makes sense to me but not others so I’m glad you asked the question

      Hey Kol, I have seen you comment this before. It would be hard to do an entire video on starts but the best advice I can give you is, stay on the drivers bumper ahead of you, anticipate getting bumped going into the first corner, and don't be afraid. If you make a move, be strong. Hesitation is what causes accidents and makes you slow.

    Hello, I would like to be able to ask you what effect the positive camber \ _ / has on curves. That is, more open at the top. I suppose the front end grips more. It is right? Thank you so much! greetings from Argentina!

      Thank you very much for the reply! I would like to be able to ask you one last consultation. I have a 2019 Tony Kart with a 30mm barrel. I wanted to know if the front axle grips more or less when I add spacers to the front axle. that is, if I have 1 cm and then I open it more (I put it with 1.5 cm on each side), does the front end grip more or less?
