      @Steven Brown It’s really tough the first time you shock your body, going from a standard American diet to carnivore. I know when I first went carnivore (January 2022) I felt AWFUL for the first 2 weeks. Trust me, if you can stick to it and power through, it gets better and you will feel amazing!!!

    Great info, addressing the common questions I always see, too.
    I zip in and out of carnivore to keto, and it has done me no harm and some minor good, though I was 100% healthy to begin with, partly due to being low-carb for long stretches of the past 20+ years. (good blood sugar, trig. of 42-45, total cholesterol 170, a point high on hematocrit, but I live at elevation so don't fret that at all.) I do sleep a whole lot deeper/better on BBBE, and my minor stress incontinence is gone.(a sneeze about to come no longer worries me as it does most of my elderly woman friends.)
    Another strange effect is when you eat really clean, you start to taste and possibly react badly to fake foods. I bought something called orange extract, to add to my occasional wedge of cream cheese, and it was gross, whatever the chemicals were in it. They had to be tiny-minute, but I simply cannot bear such tastes any longer. The brain says, "more real food like that rare steak, please."

      @janetherriott3215 Рік тому +4

      A better choice would probably be a drop or two of HIGH quality orange/lemon/tangerine essential oil (like DoTerra). No fake chemicals. In fact, I think I'll try it!😋

    Great Vlog! I’m almost 8 yrs from weight loss surgery. I typically eat Keto to maintain my 120 loss but 7 weeks into Carnivore. I can’t fast as I can’t “refeed” as my capacity is only about 4 oz’s. I have only eaten steak once as it’s too heavy for me. Eggs, ground meat, chicken, bacon & cheese are it for me as well as at least 2 meals a day.

    I went on carnivore to heal the opposite of constipation. Having to know where a bathroom is everywhere you go and hoping you make it. For over 20 years I was done in March I couldn’t do it anymore and started carnivore in April and within two days I was actually going to the bathroom like a regular person. I didn’t know such poop existed. The things that bother me are Mexican spices pepper and melted fats.

    I think people are thinking that because they don’t poop everyday, they are constipated. As a carnivore, I don’t poop everyday because my body doesn’t have all the fiber to get rid of. If you don’t have discomfort, bloat, or pain, then you probably aren’t constipated. There is just less waste to get rid of.

I am carnivore around 2months, not 100%, because i do drink some wine on a weekend, but no vegetables, i had 2 oranges tho (not a big deal i know). Ididnt experience any flue coming in, or diarhea or nothing. Only last week i had put cut-up garlic in my ground beef, i wanted to try, if i miss it or not. But i had explosive diarhea like 2hours after that meal. Is it because of that garlic? Or might it be that i ate those burgers piping hot, fried in pork fat? Cuz i hear hot fat can do that, but i eat that all the time, and im fine, so only when i tried the garlic it was bad....any one has an idea? Thx a lot

    I had diarrhea, but I had gut issues when I started. I was still being treated for this and my doctor is helping me figure out my issues. I’m now on and anti fungal for some yeast issues and anti histamines which has helped a lot. I needed find out what was causing my issue and I think we finally did. My yeast issue have been causing food sensitivities so I have found through going mostly carnivore that I’m sensitive to beef and pork, so right now I’m eating mostly chicken thighs and wings. Now I’m having more normal bowel movements 😍 also I have psoriasis and it has pretty much cleared up and I just started the end of sept. Now hoping my food sensitivities and histamine issues get better. I just had blood test done and my over all cholesterol is high but my good cholesterol is high, so this doctor thinks it’s because of the changes of my diet. It’s been amazing & I have great results (improved body composition & lost nearly all my menopausal weight gain). Does this mean I should only eat 120 grams of protein per day? So 4 oz of meat permeal if I eat 3x a day? Please HELP me figure this out. I'm type 2 diabetic and want to do this right.

    Hello I am on my 3rd week of Carnivore and I am having terrible constipation! I had been vegan whole food plant based for 7 1/2 years and never had any issues before. I will hope it will resolves on its own or try adding in more fat or less cheese like you said. I am going everyday but its terribly difficult. I was afraid you would say the cheese, honestly without the cheese I would not have made it this far. Never liked meat much without it. Also really trying to increase the butter, and of course I am grossed out by fat n skin etc… so far I am having more reasons to keep going than to quit, so I keep on keeping on! Thx ladies!

    Great video. I've been on KETO for a few years but had recently started eating junk and had a lot of inflamtion. I started on the carnivore diet almost two weeks ago. I've been dealing with constipation the whole time. I went for the first time maybe 4 or 5 days after I started the carnivore diet. When I go, it's not a lot. I'm just being patient and waiting for my gut to adapt. I hope it doesn't go on for more than a month. I am now taking enzymes after my two meals a day. I also drink my morning coffee with butter and heavy whipping cream. I don't know if I should stop doing that. I am 70 yrs old.

      Almost all people do not need calcium pills. As Nola said, D3 and K2 will help you with calcium and most people are D deficient anyway so it works out. Magnesium will help activate D, but if you are on carnivore electrolytes are already a good idea.
