WOW, what an absolutely fantastic premiere!!!! This episode was so good, the flow and story telling was incredible seeing everything from Rick's side being in the CRM and learning he's attempted escape 4 times. Getting more detail on the A's and B's was really awesome!! Next episode will definitely be Michonne's journey to then finding Rick, then remainder of Season is them fighting back against the CRM and potentially getting more people to join their fight!!!
Yes!!! I'm looking forward to this reaction! Lets go fellas!
Loved it! Thought that was how they would finally find each other! Love y’all’s reactions!
25:41 I was the same way, the second I saw that katana I knew who it was. I'd know that sword anywhere, it's hanging on my wall.
@NocBroNation
I think AMC, the producers and everybody involved, especially Andrew Lincoln made a great decision to produce The Ones Who Live. I thought all along that they should've just made the Rick story a show instead of movies, but I understand what they were aiming for. My opinion it would have been great as movie form, but we all know 2020 changed everything. I think the shutdowns stopped and delayed a lot of projects that were in progress out there. Just like the strike this past year did. Next thing you know years passed by with nothing made yet. I'm just thankful that they were able to round up all the troops to get it done and done right. I think they all knocked that premiere episode out of the park. I thought it was a damn near perfect episode in my opinion. As much as I like Daryl or Carol or Negan, Michonne, Maggie, etc and the other spinoffs. Rick has and will always be the GOAT of TWD period. It started with him and he snuck in right at the end of S11 to start his extended story. In my opinion Andrew Lincoln has always killed it as Rick Grimes. His acting was always so spot on and perfectly believable, especially those emotional scenes. He was cheated out of so many awards during the shows run. Like I said I loved the episode and think it was pretty much perfect. The only thing I would have changed were maybe had it extended a little longer than it already was. Maybe add another 15-20 mins and show him landing hurt in the helicopter and pull a little bit of him reuniting with Michonne in episode 2 into the premiere. But hey I'll always want more and will take a much as they give to us. We've all waited "Years" and it's great to finally see the GOAT back.
Let me know what u think of the start of episode 2, already seen a mistake on the timeline
Jadis knew that Rick was an "A"... she referred to him as a "B" for his own protection, most likely.
And so she could get back in.
Yep! This was confirmed in World Beyond by Jadis!
@@Barqsmug that scene with Jadis and Huck was amazing. We got some real insight into Jadis's mind and character. And Pollyanna's acting was top notch too!
@@csi2448agreed
She did… she mentioned that to Huck in World Beyond
Did y'all notice that Okafor gave Rick the "Art Of Peace" book when he was talking to Thorne and Rick? Same book that Morgan had.
That’s the one he got from the cheese maker correct 🤔
Yes@@Milothew1zard
Hint that Morgan may show up ?? Hmmm...we'll see.
@@Milothew1zard yup!
@@starrguitargoddess I freaking hope so!
This episode was a 10/10. The highest quality of writing I’ve seen from The Walking Dead in damn near a decade and the production was absurd
They sound like fireworks.
True
I watch it twice. Yesterday Morning and evening
That goes to show Rick and Michonne have been missed for years
Wait till episode 2! It’s even better, I’m not spoiling anything don’t worry 😁
The reason why they went with him cutting off his hand, was to show how desperate he was wanting to escape and to get back to his family.
This was just for the fans who criticized on Rick not doing everything to get back. Now we know what lengths he went through on trying to get away. Not many people probably not even 1% of people would cut off their hand to get away. That’s my take. Sure he could have cut the cord , but it wouldn’t been impactful.
Great reaction to the both of you.
And this episode was just as great as the pilot of the original series
im sure the cord would not be able to be cut rick would obviously try to cut the cord he just knew by this attempt that it was hopeless.
Agreed however I'm sure he would have preferred to cut the cord than his hand my guess the axe would have no or little effect on the cord. High tensile steel no doubt
You've obviously never even seen a steel wire up close, much less touched one or tried to cut it. It's nearly impossible. You would have to use a chainsaw and then MAYBE it would do some damage. And it obviously would draw attention that Rick couldn't afford
@@AlejoConejo-vb8ln look I have no idea why I’m getting blasted! I was making a comment on what NocBroNation said in the video on why Rick didn’t just cut the cord! If you didn’t like my comment, just scroll down
@@lynncantrell2782 I liked your comment. I agree with most of what you said, just not the part about the cord lol
It may not be as iconic as the comic, but I think him losing his hand during an escape shows just how determined he is, how low he was, how powerful the CRM is, and partially why he has been gone so long (after so much triage and recovery periods). I think the function works quite well for the story beyond bad guy does bad thing.
Yes, desperate and determined
When Okafor said "No more Omaha's" I think he meant no more losing cities and settlements. Can't tell if Okafor knew the CRM did that to Omaha.
That Scene on Strands Yacht (FTWD) where they saw L.A in Flames , that was Courtney of Okafort
Was waiting for this reaction!! Fantastic episode, can’t wait to see how this plays out. Welcome back Rick and Michonne!!
I just wanna say, when I watched the series "LOST", I got so invested in it, I thought I could never get into another series again, because it was THAT good, it was a lot, like a lot of time invested and well worth it fir me) Then The Walking Dead came along with all of its spinoffs; I watched them all and enjoyed them all. Each, somehow, connected one to the other. The fact that Major General Beale is played by Terry O'Quinn did everything for me. It came full circle because he also played John Locke in LOST, who happened to be one of the main characters and I LOVED him in LOST. So the only 2 "bigger" series I watched all the way through (with captions on so I didn't miss a beat on both shows) has one of my favorite actors and i couldn't be more excited. Full circle 🔄
I've been itching for yalls reaction and commentary!!!
What a great start to the show. Great video guys keep up the great work as always 👌🏾
Much appreciated!
Him cutting his hand off shows just how desperate he is to get away
You should tell that to the Governor.
Was totally blown away. It was definitely worth the wait.
Hi guys
I was just wondering... those books that Okafor gave Rick and Pearl, us the small white book with the circle on it the same book Eastman gave Morgan? I think it was titled "The Art of Peace"
It looks familiar to me.
Anyway this episode was OUTSTANDING. The Legend is back 👌👍♥️
Scott, Danai and Andrew worked on every episode together, if I'm not mistaken - with Episode 4 being written solely by Danai, as well as placed as the showrunner.
Andrew, not Anthony
@@cleogriffith9921 Yes... my auto(in)correct is on FIRE right now. ;) lol
an axe would take like 10 to 20 swings against a hard surface to break that cable. Rick didnt have a hard surface OR time so.. hand it was haha
Title screen HYPE! Wow I could not have predicted that ending. Chills. Blown away 🤯❤❤❤
Effed up how they made the iPhones a literal paper weight 😂 Papyrus if you will 🤣🤣🤣
They use Red Lights because its easier to see with Night Vision.. at least thats the design anyways
I LOVE seeing y’all’s reactions! 😅😅😂😂😂
"No title screen dance"
Love you guys!
I just want to tel you that your not able to cut wires like that with just an axe, its nearly impossbile.
10/10 episode😭👏🏻♥️
The screeners don’t have the entire season. Just the first 4.
Red lights are preferred in the military today due to it not being as visible from a far as opposed to regular lights.
Reaction starts at 4:51 for anyone wondering
His hand would have needed to be like that cuz Michonne would have cut it off when she was attacking rick
But I didn't see michoone try to cut his hand only put the knife to his throat
He could not cut the wire because that wire will not cut
literally 😂 so many reactors keep saying that and it’s driving me crazy
@@Barqsmug I might make a video on that scene and show you can cut that wire it’s uncutable with the axe he had😂😂😂
What a way to start the series!!! Can’t wait for Sunday!!!
Police use red lights at night to to save their night vision. Andrew Lincoln would deserve an Oscar if this was a movie
I never saw police use red lights at nights, the patrol cops carry normal flashlights usually.
Red light is more used in the military in operations at night because it's the least visible color in the light spectrum. That's how I recall it anyway. So it serves as a tactical advantage and also in this show for CRM, as a style aspect to give them a more distinct look I guess. At night.
I think Jadis also made NEGAN an "A"--which is accurate!
They only sent episodes 1-4 to screeners so far
This episode was absolutely grand stage amazing!! This series can’t just be a one season thing!! It must be a few seasons at least 3 even if season 3 is only 3 or 4 episodes idc or making all the spin offs into a new walking dead series with all and I mean ALL of our still alive characters finally back together fighting along side each other against the crm and/or that crazy bi+ch from Daryl Dixon madam gene or whatever lol
I have this feeling Thorn is taking Dwight's death from the comics. I dont read those much at all but one time i did, it stood out to me. Huge guess but i could be wrong... We will see. So far i dont trust her.
Speaking of The Walking Dead i got a question about this universe that i just recently thought of and that question is how are China and Russia and other parts of the world faring in the apocalypse well except for France we already know how they're doing oh yeah and i'm wondering if Rick and Michonne will end up somehow meeting and teaming up with Silas and the other good guy characters from World Beyond
Why didn’t Rick just try to cut the cable instead of his wrist lol
Hard to cut it
Don't think Michonne was in Omaha...they just use the yellow gas where she is now.
Yes we made it! Lol
Worth the 6 year wait fellas! that episode was as close to perfect as it gets, was like a movie. It had everything, I laughed, got jump scared, almost teared up multiple times. If you're someone like myself that has seen every episode of every show in TWD universe, that was a euphoric experience, Bravo to amc
This episode felt like the writers sat down for a while and gave every detail in-depth thought, which the main show lacked for a while. It was a breath of fresh air and I hope that the writers are able to put this kind of product out each episode.
Dani, Andy and Scott Pimple were a big force in the Story of this Series...
The A's and B's make complete sense to me. They want to raise leaders from within. Bringing in people like that with independent experience creates a lot more uncertainty and chaos. It's not ideal, but it's so much simpler and way less risky than trying to adapt A's to the city
You notice how his new hand protected it from being hacked off by Michonne’s katana.
Oh, the irony.
No! I didn't see michonne try to take off ricks arm just lifted his helmet that's all
@@garyclarke9685 Sorry to clarify I meant the actual episode on TV. You can hear the clang sound when she strikes.
@@JoeSelf1982 missed it even though I played that final scene over & over
@@garyclarke9685how do you miss that lmao
In the second episode it shows the full fight and he is right @garyclarke9685
Rick could not of cut the wire... bullets don't even break those.
Yeah, I’m sure if Rick could have chosen any other way than cutting off his hand, he would have. He probably tried to gnaw the wire off lol
yup lol
I thought that wire was going to go through his wrist and that was going to be how he lost his hand.
It was steel wire. Not even bolt cutters would cut through that. You’d need a powersaw
I mean Rick cutting off his own hand is great writing in my opinion, it's unexpected and show's how desperate he is to get home, that thick metal wire wouldn't cut with an axe like that lol.
No otherwise he would have tried or maybe he already tried before. Yeah I think the burning question now been answered is why rick didn't return home.
GUYS--did you notice when Okafor handled some books to Rick and Thorne that the one on top was THE ART OF PEACE...of course that is MORGAN'S book. I think a huge clue Morgan shows up in the end.
Is it? I may have missed this in-lore reference but I basically saw Ouroborous, the snake eating its own tail. While the show makers may have something particular in mind the symbology itself is very common or old. But curious to see if he will!
Yes--there is a clear shot of it if you break things down by frames.@@Unknown-ek1ox
@@Unknown-ek1ox Well, Alpha wore the Ouroboros symbol on her belt. And since they acknowleged the nukes going off in Texas, as well as Morgan himself saying he’ll go find Rick, it is very likely that Morgan will appear at some point - either in the series finale or future seasons
Yes, I noticed that immediately! Could be a hint that Morgan will make an appearance ? I hope so....we'll see !
Danai wrote and was showrunner for episode 4, which many claim is not only the best episode among the initial 4 but the most emotional. Where the heartfelt conversations ultimately happen between the two.
With that information, I'm speculating that Rick & Michonne reeaally get to engage during episode 4.
There is no such thing as a showrunner for one episode only.
@@thatgirlwearingglasses4133 Hey know-it-all who doesn't know SHEIT.... she ran THAT episode which was part of the show, as stated by Gimple himself.
If you want to dismiss Danai's contributions, for whatever ODD reason, then you'll have to bring a LESS Petty and MORE Substantive point. ;)
Ciao
It’s his Love letters to Michone! It was incredible!!!
The only breakdown I want to watch. This episode was SO good. Worth the five year wait.
we waited 6 years...and they delivered...RIP Okafor may your legacy lives on!
amazing reaction.
If Andrew Lincoln doesn't get awards this time, I'm going to riot. Such a phenomenal actor ❤❤❤
He does such a good job and we have seen him go thru so much .. even more the Pedro Pascal’s Joe on the Last of Us but Pedro has an SAG award …..
@@kimberlygover7703yeah it makes no sense at all. the last of us story is kinda weird too. not very good at all. nothing like the walking dead.
@@mcdonalds_nug but i liked the last of us.
True i been saying this for years Andrew Lincoln deserves 2 and if he doesn't get 1 we then know something isn't right
Andrew Lincoln is an amazing actor. I got that impression as soon as I watched the first episode of TWD. It shameful that the Emmy’s exclude actors from niche series. Lincoln deserves 3 or 4 Emmys for his performances.
I can’t wait until Michonne tells Rick about RJ
And about Negan being released from jail !
Probably be the first thing she says . I'm still shocked she left her child for what I estimate to be about 1.5 years
@@starrguitargoddesswhy would she talk about him lmao
@@garyclarke9685You wanted her to go with her kids when they're safe with family 😂😂😂
@@Iletyoulive no of course not however she never should have left them especially her son. Only a parent like me would understand that. As for the katana sword striking ricks arms I was distracted because of everything that was going on. The scene of the helicopter crash, soldiers dying & the realisation that it was michoone that shot down the helicopter was overwhelming so yes easily done to miss her trying to cut into ricks arm ok
LFG!!! Incredible first episode. Honestly one of the best TWDU episodes ever. Well worth the 5+ year wait. Incredible acting. It looked like a damn movie. It needs more than 6 episodes!! RICK GRIMES IS BACK!!
I'm so happy we're finally getting comic book Rick with the one hand. I don't get why people are upset with it. He was the only one leashed because he kept trying to escape.
rick cutting his hand off does make sense. he's been attached to that wire for years whenever they'd go out. they wouldn't put a wire on him that could be cut by any weapon, let alone an axe that they give him. in a move of desperation, he cuts off the hand. he cant escape when he's back at the base and he couldn't escape when they went outside of it. so off with the hand. anything to get back to his family. and the place he was in mentally furthers the reason.
Don't think he was attached for years just a short time after making those first 3 escape attempts.
Red light minimizes pupil dilation, thus preserving night vision.
The face Rick and Michonne are making by seeing each other is so emotional cuz both are wondering if it's even real! 9 years of Rick only seeing her in his dreams. I CAN'T WAIT FOR EPISODE 2
It was awesome!!!! Can't wait to see Michonne's journey! That intro is amazing and Rick's narration was chef's kiss!
I have never felt so emotional and so unexpectedly euphoric and with a very real feeling to relive a moment of seeing Andrew and Danai return together.😭😭😍😍
I heard something earlier that made sense…Okafur mentioned the “summit” in a years time, and wasn’t this show going to be called Summit at one point? Just seems as if it could be linked…maybe that’s an endgame scenario? Or one of them?
And I liked Okafur! Sad to see him go so soon. He wasn’t perfect but could have been a huge help even though Beale was on to him. Shoot, maybe it was even Beale who shot them down, we don’t know yet. I know michonnes people are there but….u never know.
Also, the lack of music and sounds during the moment Rick/Michonne see each other makes it so much more powerful. Just my opinion though haha
One of the best walking dead universe episodes. Rick going from a sheriff to a crm military commander who can fly a chopper 😂. The fact that Rick has spent more time with Okafor, Thorne, Esteban, and Beale than Daryl, Michonne and Carol is crazy. I WANT MORE
Your reaction video gets me as excited as the actual episode! My favorite duo❤
It actually wasn't Okafor in the Heli in the finale, bc the person in it says "it's like HE told you Rick, there's no escape for the living" so the person was REFERRING to Okafor, at first i also thought it was him bc i forgot about the "it's like he told you"
They could still be referring to Beale, because Okafor probably got this ideology from him. I'm sure we'll see this as we go though
@bladepvpz3015 yeah that could be true as well if that phrase is originally from Baele, bc the scene we got in this episode where Okafor says that is clearly not the first time that phrase is said to Rick, someone told him that before he lost his hand, and obviously before his escape attempt in TWD finale
Rick can't drop an American F Bomb, he sounded British for half a second lol.
im british and no he didnt lmao. what are you talking about💀
@lewis0705 As American, I can definitely hear it. I wish that he could use his natural accent all the time. ❤
@@katrinagarrett9612as an American, I cannot.
Andrew Lincoln is a phenomenal actor! Him being British and being that good is crazy
Was so hyped for your reaction!!!
Yessss! Been waiting on this to drop since they announced the show lololol I absolutely loved the 1st episode!!! Lets see whats in store for us during the next 5 episodes!
I absolutely loved this episode!! I'm kind of happy with the hand, as it's a callback to the comics and most importantly, it showed how desperate Rick really felt about his situation. The prosthetic with the knife is also pretty cool! I'm excited to see the rest of the CRM plot play out. Thank you for your reactions, I always look forward to them after each new TWDU episode!
You guys are the best 😂🤝
15:51 thank youuu😁💚honestly this was the highlight of the episode (and series) for me, having Lesley Ann Brandt represent my town, my country and people, especially our accent haha it's honestly surreal hearing it in TWD universe! And I loved this first ep, and the early unexpected Richonne reunion! I just REALLY, do not like that they had Rick cut off his hand.. now, after so many years and Aaron already kinda taking on that vibe anyway. It feels really lame and unnecessary. If they wanted to up the stakes, I would have been more intrigued by the loss of a foot, honestly, and then to see Rick come out stronger through THAT struggle but.. I can overlook the hand thing because I'm already so invested. And not just because they have a South African character in TWD universe and me being proud af lol 🇿🇦✊ . Can't wait for ep2, and thank you for the heads up that the eps leaked, I had no idea and will be vigilant in dodging spoilers now. ✌️
It was wow just wow and so worth the wait. That reunion was everything. One of the best premieres to a series ever and seeing Rick again was just fantastic, everything was done so so well, story telling, the score and even the dream of them together, Rick keeping Michonne alive in his dreams, just beautiful. Great review guys, see you next week 😊❤
Agreed 100%
Other than the people who want to be dicks, I don't understand why anyone would go and spoil it for others. I've been staying off of Twitter to avoid them. The only thing I ended up being spoiled for was finding out that Rick and Michonne found each other in the first 3 episodes.
They have to earn their citizenship just like in the Commonwealth. They just didn't make people wait 6 years.
I think Okafor wanted/wants Rick (and Pearl) to take down the CRM, but he never said those exact words to them. I'm hoping we see him more in flashbacks. He was too good for just one episode.
DUDE😂❤🎉 i was screaming at your reaction! thats michonnes group guys!!! until you figured it out hahahahahah
Should TWD continue? I firmly believe that the core cast should continue and there should be a spin off reuniting them and reasserting themselves into the new world order..seasons 11 through whenever. The writing, acting, set design, and isolated plots within the core plot are constantly entertaining and it would be a shame if the series ever really would end! Listen up Scott Gimple and others! Kept trying to escape..but once again..I was trapped..haha! Love the potiential of further character development in Daryl and Carol’s spin off..Maggie and Negan need way more attention in The Dead City..what a great exploratory set in NYC! And for GODS Sake! Stop making Maggie such a spinster and goodie 2 shoes! Negan is begging for a real love interest and the only one to change him is Maggie. I’d pay top dollar to watch a movie..even more mullah to see a United reunion of the separate spin offs and so would 1/3rd of the population! Drag it out and on because it isn’t failing at all. AMC used to be a niche channel..only due to TWD is AMC reaching new venues and audiences..with that alone they should invest in a new unique ultimate tv series..containing all core characters and beyond..it’s better than the longevity of Star Trek, Star Wars, Jaws, Hunger Games, and Jason all combined..Past the iconic audience of that of the old shows like ER, Friends, and Law and Order..make it smarter, exclusive locations, and bring in some love interests with a strong flex to the usual survival of the fittest ideal. TWD has me entranced and from day 1. Generational stories could develop with the children, even!😊
I was intrigued by something that Thorne said....She was serving on a sub with the South African Navy and that she was 'found in the Atlantic Ocean'... what were CRM doing out there, so I'm beginning to think that the theory that they are links to the Pouvoir Du Vivant group in France could be true.
And talking subs...there was mention of Philadelphia...which is the same name as the sub from Fear The Walking Dead... admittedly that Easter egg is a bit more tenuous...🤔
Red light has a lower wave frequency. It's harder to see from a distance, which means less likely to attract walkers, and easier on your eyes, maintaining your night vision. That's why scouts, military, etc all use red lights at night.
OMG This was absolutely amazing. My heart was pounding as I sat on the edge of my seat. I also loved the nod to Hershel when his friend asked to touch his hand.
Good catch !
The spoiling of shit could be a small part of the reason the actors give up on roles/shows like this with such a big following? Just a thought. It would totally suck to have everything you work so hard for ruined bec someone wanted to get rich or make a name for themselves.
Amazing...ALL because of Andrew Lincoln! He makes the show...was terrible once he left.
@11:39 That was a good call back to Negan and Carl, with the eye socket.
The wire is uncuttable. Do you really think Rick would cut his own hand off if the wire were an option? Come on now. He's tried to escape multiple times and probably already tried hacking it and it didn't work. No way Rick is that stupid. Not to mention that with Rick as an escape threat, they would MAKE SURE he was being held with something he couldn't chop through.
Agreed well said
Pretty sure the leash wire at the beginning is a metal cable and not a wire. He would have to do a hell of a lot chopping to get through it.
We return again watching TWD-content with The Ones Who Live. Reunion was solid as it's direct to the point and now we finally have an answer to the bombings of Atlanta and LA via Operation Cobalt happened long time ago.
Now... I have a big hypothetical theory to laid out here:
Okafor is onto something alright. He wants to change and he's gonna need the people he can get. Cementing his own legacy as leaving it to Rick and Pearl continuing what he laid out on his blueprints. Okafor sees the CRM problems, deep damn problems. You know how the CRM was being run by militaristic-dictatorship that has the territory like a US-state that kept functioning after the centralized-government collapsed. And how they want to kill anyone who stands in their way in the name of progress and maintaining their secrecy? I can tell by his body language that CRM is not doing really good enough.
Okafor picks Pearl and Rick for a reason. He sees in them they could change things for the better. He needs the exact kind of leaders that Okafor would want. I can hypothetically guess that Rick can take the entire country (CRM and the other two-cities alliances) with a catch. With help of some good-CRM officials that they still want to do good and fighting against their evil CRM overlords.
Imagine this as Rick tries to convince the CRM officials by going over his side. Changing themselves and drop the secrecy BS and kill anyone that's in the way-method. They need to build a better world, a better version of themselves using Rick's ways. Folks like Major General Beale, Jadis and etc. of course will not accept this. Think about it and what if there's still good people in the CRM that they are afraid to fight against their overlords? Haven't they had enough? What's the point of all this? Is this the right way of rebuilding the world using violent-methods that the CRM is doing? This will stick to the minds of every average citizens and troops of the Civic Republic Military. And this will hit them hard on what the fuck are they doing. They'll have a reality check when the time finally arrives. It's time for the average citizens and soldiers of the CRM to step up and change the system. And finally ousting their evil CRM overlords.
Oh man my ideas be going wild if the CRM goes into a "civil-war" and make no mistake when i say this. It's gonna be a hundred times larger than the Commonwealth's rebellion in the comics. We'll see inner-circle officials, regular officials and military-units of the CRM splitting that goes on the side of Rick and those who retained remain loyal to Major General Beale. Two bigger forces fighting each other between the old world and the new world in the post-apocalyptic world. This would be crazy as shit. And lastly i can imagine Rick pulling "We are not The Walking Dead" thing in front of the speakers while the fighting is on-going during it's peak or during it's conclusion. It would be just that.
Wanted to put my thoughts here before I watch the reaction. I watched the episode last night. Kept my expectations low so I’d be prepared to be blown out of the water. It was so amazing to see Rick back on our screens. The ambience of the episode was interesting. Gave a clear insight into what the world looked like where Rick had ended up. Dark, gritty, unfamiliar. Obviously this is a Rick we’ve not seen before. Surviving without his family and friends around him. But holding onto that little bit of hope that he can make it back. I’ll post another comment after I watch your reaction NocBro Nation. Thank you for your video.

@@XxXDestroyerDaryl’s show was really high quality as well, i really enjoyed that entire season. This is just a whole different level.
@@Kiddlow2x The Daryl show was solid, and a step in a much better direction. But I mean something like really good similar to WD during it's earlier peak seasons, where it was *must watch* TV. This felt similar to that imo, I just hope it doesn't fall off.
Where can you check the ratings and viewership
What a great ending! It took a whole lotta Rick doing dumb stuff to get there though. I found the writing in this episode insulting to the intelligence of Rick Grimes. Rick's a smart dude! He would not cut his hand off for absolutely NO reason. He's a lot smarter than that. He also wouldn't try to kill himself. That was LAME. Again, solid ending. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out and hoping that the writing shows more respect to the characters.
Tell that to andrew lincon
All these years and Rick had to take off his own hand just like Merle that's full circle
How could I be able to watch this series?
Fantastic episode and fantastic review!! So looking forward to the next one.

I personally loved the way they went with ricks injury, i love how he did it himself and i think it being for "no reason" isnt really true, i mean yeah for us its that way but it really shows how desperate and eager he is to take any opportunity he can get to escape. I also think it being a dumb move was kind of on purpose if that makes any sense, like rick in a clear state of mind would have never made that decision purely based off of how outnumbered he was and how many soldiers were around, he knows he would have never made it but he was so desperate he just did it without thinking, if that makes sense. I personally really loved it.
Also, that was 5 years in. He had obviously already exhausted all other options
@@christiannunez6421 yup, super rad
rick and merle are "hand brothers" hahahahaa... darryl and rick are "apocalypse brothers"
What makes you think he hadn’t already tried to hatchet his leash? It’s Rick Grimes?!!
Yeah he would have already tried before realising he couldn't then took off his hand which had the most incredible impact I've seen in the first 5 minutes of a show
I kind of think that Rick is going to go back and him and Michonne are going to work together to bring down the CRM or change it
It was so good. Well worth the wait.
I'm actually scared that rick will die in this series. I'm gonna be heart broken if he never reunites with Judith. Can't wait for episode 2.
Hey they wouldn't do that . The fans would want or I sister he reunites with Judith & everyone else that knew rick not that there is all that many as several of the characters that knew rick have been killed off
I loved it... I actually watched Ep2 before Ep1, some twonk actually said it was the first and when I watched that I thought 'damn this is too damn fast' but after watching the real Ep1, I'm happier. I'm so glad we got the reunion early and didn't have to wait.
Episode 2 got leaked?
I thought it was a perfect episode UNTIL that ending and i'm super pissed !!.
This is totally rushed and completely unnecessary !!.
The big moment already ??. SERIOUSLY !?.
I was affraid of this. What a waste.
5/10 is the best i can do guys.
Loved the first episode but yes, this episode is ricks journey and the view from the CRM. The next episode will be Michonne's journey and I think it will explain why Michonne is part of the rebellion and why she is fighting the CRM and I'm guessing it has something to do with that group. Episode 3 will be them reuniting so we'll have to wait till then because episode 2 will probably leave off here but I love how they told the story so we get an idea of where ricks been and even someone who doesn't know these characters and the walking dead universe can follow
Also we need to know how michonne & her group can justify shooting down that helicopter & killed military soldiers almost killing rick I might add
@@garyclarke9685 yes, I think that will be a lot about what the next episode will be about, why Michonne is attacking CRM and the group she caught up with when we last saw her. It seems like she must have suspected Rick was with the CRM because she's checking all the faces of the soldiers. I wonder if it's connected to world beyond in some way and they mention a kind of civil war in the civic republic. I think it's will fill us in on what's going on outside of the CRM. She seem to be using guerrilla tactics
