So glad I found you! I’m going to show your channel to my son who is 14 and loves anything freshwater tank related! We used to do salt water for a long time (which is still my favorite) but splitting everything kinda got out of control. Thanks for sharing! I will definitely be back!
Thank you! That really means a lot to me. Im glad you enjoyed it. If your son has any video requests just let me know. I love helping the next generation of fish keeper
I have seen a huge pleco in Florida along the shore dead when the water in the bay got too salty at the mouth of the peace river ,at first I thought it was a saltwater fish. I also had a few die on me in my outside pond when the water got cold.
@@FishRoomFever no lie I'm grabbing some of those off amazon.. that was a cool share plus. You did the best thing to shit naysayers up. You showed/shared your success. love it!!!!!!
@@WarriorPlantedTanks absolutely. Showing the results shuts them down from the start. I thought I subbed to you last month but I guess not, fixed it now 👍
@@FishRoomFever no worries, UA-cam does that because I had to resub to some people too. IDK it might be a glitch or something. Sorry for the delayed reply. I like the Hikari sinking carnivore pellets, EBO Aquaristik mussel pros often gran and seafood prosoft gran, Hikari biopure frozen blood worms and frozen brunette shrimp w/ spirulina. Not all at once if course but rotating those has done great with my fish. I hope that helps!
I really depends on how many batches of fry I'm raising and what size I'm planning on raising them to. How of you're willing to change water to keep quality parameters is important as well. I've done it in a 10g with a single batch up to a 55 for multiple batches or larger/ juvenile fish. If you have any specifics on what you're working with or planning, I'd be more than happy to help. Have a great day and I hope you enjoyed the video.
@@FishRoomFever yes love the video. Just checking into plecos. I've got 3 L134 in a 36 bow front. Looking at getting a couple 20L tanks and trying to find someone L471's.
@@richardmatthys7133 Both of those are beautiful fish and relatively small so you should be fine with a small rank for grow out if you do need to move the fry out. If you don't have other fish in the tank that would bother the fry then I would personally not even move them out until size demanded it. Most of my breeding has been with large batches of bristlenose so that's a bit different than yours or my L46, 222. Etc which tend to breed less often and with smaller broods.

I use these too - even though I don't breed plecos. Make great little hidey places for all fish
Absolutely Pam, most fish can appreciate having a nice little hiding place. Good tip!
Awesome video love that you give the plecos options.
Yeah they like have a choice in where to live/ breed. Thanks for watching!
What's up James showing some support!

Yes sadly the common pleco had become an invasive species in Florida. They're taking over some of the manatee havens and destroying then
Very cool!
Thank you!
@@FishRoomFever I have a super red male and green dragon female I keep thinking about giving some breeding space too
@@langenandanimals I think that would be awesome!
Very cool to see them utilize these spike/caves.
👍💕👍
Absolutely, especially given the price difference compared to "pleco" caves. Thanks for watching ShelbyRea!
Nice, I’ve wondered where people get caves looking like that. Thanks!
No problem 👍 I probably need to do an update to this video. lol

Excellent video. I love those plant spikes. 💗🐡💗
Me too. They have made breeding much easier. Thank you for watching
That was cool! Ingenuity is the what I love about this hobby the most repurposing thing's for what you need. I'm gonna try this....
Thanks WPT. That's definitely one of mmt favorite things, what do I need, what do I have, how can I make it.

Hello James, I found your channel tonight while networking. I'm considering a new tank, a 30 gallon with a Jack Dempsey or two. Nice video.
That's awesome. I've got some Jacks and I'm sure you wont be disappointed. Thanks for watching!
Love the video 😁 can't wait for my super red to breed!
Thanks Shelby! I'm sure you'll get them there in no time!
Great channel thank you for sharing and showing you some support
Thank you. I'll be returning the favor!
Good tip James.
They definately prefer closed end caves for spawning in. These look ideal. 👍
Thanks DFK. I've had good success. currently sitting on 3 batches, about 200 fry, out of these caves.
Great information thanks for the video
Thank you Andy!

Looks like a great product! Hope you have plenty of success breeding your Plecos👍
Thank you. Im up to about 1000 baby plecos so far using these spikes.
Gracias
Great video James. Im gonna get a pack of those, ill use your link.
Thanks Don. The link isn't an affiliate link. Between recording and editing I got removed from the program.
Oh wow, i have one clown pleco, he is still small and he loves to hide in this little submarine we have in the tank. It is his favorite place
Very cool. Clown plecos are such fun fish.
Interesting they prefer breeding in the spikes over the pots. Must be the tighter space? Awesome video James!
Yes, they prefer the tighter space because it's easier to keep predators out and the babies in. Thank you Cassie for watching.
Hi James great seen other people used them
Yeah it's great seeing the idea spread. Maybe it will eventually bring down the actual pleco cave prices.
Nice tip! Do you sell plecos at all?
Not currently but I am working back toward it and still have breeding pairs.
What do you feed your plecos that are more carnivorous
