Tortilla talk question: How do yours and Erik's parenting styles differ/compare to Jessica/Christopher's parenting styles? Are there things that you learned from them that you try to incorporate into your parenting? Are there things that they do as parents that you prefer to do differently? Honestly, Flynn wanting to hold the twins and be apart of their lives is a good sign that he will be close with them! When I was born, my older brother would beg my parents to let him hold me and would be upset if they tried to take me from him. We are best friends to this day, and we are in our early 20s!

I think that Flynn's wonderful reaction to his siblings is likely the result of a few things: 1) his naturally sweet disposition 2) the amazing way he is being raised and 3) the fact that he has been able to watch and learn from his cousins' sweet and loving interactions with each other. Flynn is already such a great big brother and that is awesome to see!

I feel like Wesley coming home first helped Flynn get the idea of a new baby before Maisy was home. So maybe it wasn’t as overwhelming. They are all so precious I can’t handle it 🥺♥️

I struggle with infertility and have always wanted children. It is so nice to see such a loving mother as yourself, truly love her children and show what good parenting is all about. I love the way you and Eric just let yourselves be children when playing with Flynn. I hope to be as amazing one day if I am able to have a family.

I love Flynn holding the twins and being able to tell them apart! He is so precious! My kids never (rarely?) showed any jealousy with a new baby... So I bet he'll keep just loving on them and before he even knows it, it will be the new normal and he won't even remember life without them around!
Tortilla talk question: Did you get footage of Kory meeting the twins and will you be sharing that or the twins meeting your friends eventually? Seeing the kids meet them was the cutest ever❤️
Hi Colleen twin here, I would say from experience is to be careful comparing the twins when they get older because when my mom compared my twin and I, I would be so angry thinking that I "wasn't good enough." But that was just us. You can do whatever you want they are your wonderful little ones. ❤️
Tortilla talk question: how have you been feeling mentally? I know before you and your doctor were talking about trying to figure out if you were feeling depressed from the NICU journey or if it was post-partum. Seeing your vlogs you seem so much lighter and content being able to have all your kiddos in your arms and in your home 🥰 If this is too personal you can skip this! It's great that Flynn is adjusting so smoothly. I'm the oldest and as far as I'm told I did not take my younger sister's birth very well. I'm sure being proactive helped a lot. Plus he seems like a 'the more the merrier' little dude.

Tortilla talk: I’ve been following your birth story while being pregnant myself. My original due date was December 29 and delivered via unplanned c section on the 23rd. Seeing you moving around without a ton of pain is very reassuring. How long did it take you to be able to get up and down with Flynn after your c section and feel comfortable doing so??
Hey girl! I’m not Colleen obviously but I was also following her journey while pregnant and had an unplanned csection. I was able to carry him and walk about day 4 but it didn’t stop feeling really sharp until day 7. I know it’s sooo painful but stay positive!
Hey girl! Move as much as you can no matter how much it hurt. The more you move the better it gets. You’ll be perfectly fine in two weeks ❤️

I am not surprised at Flynn’s reaction to the twins. He is such a sweet gentle little guy and his parents are so encouraging and respectful of him. They are so in tuned to his needs and wants while still holding boundaries and limits that I have no doubt Flynn is and will continue to be an amazing big brother for his little siblings.
Tortilla talk question: does Flynn have many “tantrums”? I’m sure you’d never show his unhappy moments but is he always as happy and bubbly off camera? 🥰

@@cay0703 I think she said that he does have his bad days, but is usually a very happy boy
I believe she said that he rarely has tantrums or upsets but when he does they find it really easy to talk to him about the problem and get over it quickly. They are both so understanding and communicative with him that he is able to manage his “negative” emotions and feel validated about them :)

Aww. Flynn and the babies together is so precious! I was 2 when my younger brother was born and was pretty disinterested in him until a friend of mine came over and wanted to hold him and then I was like “Hey, that’s MY brother!” and wanted to hold him. 😂 Flynn’s doing great already!
Tortilla Talk Question: how did Flynn react when you left to have the babies and came back home without them? Did you explain the NICU to him? Ugh seeing colleen’s little family grow and develop with each vlog is so amazing. I love how open you have been with your pregnancy journeys and I know you love hearing about other people’s pregnancy/birthing stories. I think it could be a really cool community of birthing people and parents. I think it could make an awesome podcast/series and your openness and desire to hear other people’s stories would make you the perfect person to share with. Just a thought and obviously something for down the road. You don’t need one more thing to add to your plate right now.

he seems to be trying to move the hair from his forehead/face which i think is why he has been wearing a bandana a lot

Merry Christmas everyone!! Honestly I think the best Christmas gift I got was seeing Colleen with her two strong babies at home. She deserved it and deserves so much more, Colleen will never know the influence on my life she has had, but trust me, she makes each day I have better.
Nothing makes me cry as much as children meeting a new baby (or babies!) in the family for the first time. The way kids react is just so loving and sweet and with reckless adorable abandon. You're family is beautiful, and I am so proud of you. You have been through hell, and seeing you in this happy place, my gosh nothing is better!
