    I so need a basic walk through of how to wire the electric water pump to the ignition wiring. If you ever make another video can you show which wire you spliced Into!?
    Besides that this build is still goals. Quit but deadly! Literally the same reason I went back into my arock exhaust with my k24/20 08 si.

      Thanks for the feedback and kind words. I'll try to remember to show the wire. I remember I found the power wire coming directly off of my ignition switch when I spliced into it.

    Does the electric water pump just move more water? Or are you just eliminating it's taking away some of the engine power?

    • @ksisjdm
      @ksisjdm  5 років тому +2

      Yes it moves more water, I beat on my car year round and in extreme heat, which we have a lot of since I'm in Houston Texas, I've ran the electric water pump for nearly a year. It works badass for these 100 degree 90%humidity days. Its plenty functional. I don't even consider it for freeing up power. Ive always looked for ways to keep everything cooler

      I live in a hot ass state and I drive my car all year long on the street, and I intend to put it on the circuit and drive even harder, so a very good cooling system is pretty important. An electric water pump setup like this cools much better than stock. This is especially useful for me in traffic, since it's not rpm dependent.

    Hey K,whaz good? I'm stuck at a crossroads;
    I've already bought the ac/ps delete kit which relocates the alternator..
    I'm now thinking about running a Meziere or PRP electric water pump though.
    it will mean having to buy different alternator brackets,other than the ones supplied in the delete kit wont it?
    Also, if I do use oem wp housing, (block is bare and did not come with auxiliaries) which do I use?
    I would think the k20a2 version, so that the k20 oil cooler and wp could be used?
    Any input would be much appreciated- thanks

    • @ksisjdm
      @ksisjdm  4 роки тому +1

      I've never seen anyone ever use an electric water pump with an oem water pump housing. So i can't help you there. That would end up having two water pumps at once for no reason. When using an electric pump, you should have a delete plate for the oem water pump and run lines to the plate for water. So yes the ac/ps delete kit can't be used with the electric pump. You have to decide which route you're going

    • @kudzy11
      @kudzy11 4 роки тому

      @@ksisjdm lol I didnt mean I was going to use an oem wp housing *with* an electric pump, 😂🤦🏽‍♂️but that if I did use oem,(the block came bare) I was unsure about which wph to use;k20a2 or k24a2, but I now know that I'd have to use the k20a2 wph with the k20a2 wp if I wanted to run an oem oil cooler.

    • @ksisjdm
      @ksisjdm  4 роки тому +1

      It doesn't matter all that much about the water pump. I dont use an oil cooler. A tsx block has the plug in place of the oem oil cooler so the oem oil cooler could be bolted on, but it's not a big deal to use an oil cooler or not. So I'd use whatever you can get your hands on.

      So does that mean electric pumps are not good for constantly high sustained rpms;because they dont flow enough? And is that why they are not recommended for dd'ing then?
