I enjoy watching someone play. I mean, I play games for the story, so if someone is playing a game with a good story and not just skipping through everything, I will enjoy watching them play. My brother and law one time started playing Injustice on his PS4 when I was at his and my sister's house, and he asked me if I was okay just watching, and I really didn't even understand the question. I was just like, "Of course, why wouldn't I be?".
It also depends on the person playing the game in many cases, myself included. Just watching someone play without much substance and leaving in dull parts is awful, but people who make it entertaining like Dashiegames and cr1tiKal (or however he spells that goddamn name) are quite fun to watch just to see their reactions, especially to off the wall games, or games with insane difficulty.

Imagine being ten years old and having James as your grandpa, and one day, just days before Christmas, when he comes over for the holidays, he wants to reminisce and tell you about how things were when _he_ was a kid. He'd be telling you stories about how when things used to be written on paper, how there was a time when no internet existed, no social media or cell phones, and how the crappiest videogames were made and charged for half the price than what a typical videogame costs today. He has so much memorabilia and just the best way to remind us all of a time that feels so long lost. The work James does is an art that no one can match.
Mom: "What do you want for Christmas son?"

I think Sonic R is pretty cool. I think it deserves an awesome modernized sequel for like the modern consoles. Maybe even online and/or PC. :)

I'd put it past the gen 7 era & put itself as on the map as one of the better kart racers ever. It pretty much pulled the Crash team racing trick of refined copycatting & much like CTR, it was able to be a success even with it's simularities, only instead of going for conventional Mario kart, it instead geared towards Diddy kong racing.
Well, calling it "Copycatting" is a bit rough, as they still pulled their own twists to the tale. Shifting between the 3 vechicles between matches & levels that alter between laps are things that give Transformed it's own identity

You know what the best kind of chicken and rice is? You bake some chicken in the oven with rice in a combination of cream of chicken and cream of mushroom soup. I think there are recipes for it. Goddamn is it good. Might have to make it again, now that I remembered it.

A good culinary mixture is white rice in egg drop soup. I do this whenever I'm at a Chinese buffet restaurant. And I also use the soup for dipping crab rangoon, steamed buns, and sweet and sour chicken (not coated in sauce).

While I never played Sonic R on the console, I had it for PC and honestly loved it. I was young and when I found that one stage I could win no problem, I always went to it. It might not be a great game, but it's one I hold dear.

Seeing as he brought up the Dreamcast, I kinda want to know his thoughts on Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. Sonic Adventure was made to show off what the Dreamcast could do and Sonic Adventure 2 was the final Sonic game on a Sega console, so I think they're worthy of a Nerd episode.

Metal Gear Solid 4 holds the world record for the single longest cut scene in a video game, because it has *one* cut scene that, on its own, runs on for *over an hour*, that is god damn ridiculous.
It is ridiculous, but the cutscene is fucking awesome for MGS fans, so it's completely worth it.

Guns aren't advertised as openly, but we allow more open carrying than ever before and gun ownership is at an all time high. Total murders per capita in 2015 are less than half as high as 1990, but the number of mass shootings is WAY higher. The cultural perception the media portrays is that back in the 1980s and early 1990s the murder rate was higher, but it was just gangsters killing gansters, whereas now it is crazy people killing random people. This perception isn't actually accurate, but it feels that way to old white people, and our media is almost entirely owned by old white people.

To be honest the internet kind of ruined a lot of things. Yes getting stuff online is easier and more environmentally friendly than having those catalogs, but damn, it was so nice to browse those pages!
For the good, and for the bad... It was awesome to look at the catalogues and see the things you would only wish. Here in Portugal the Corte Inglés still does something like that.

I suppose you haven't seen that one guy in ninja gaiden 2 then? He's kinda a duke clone before there was duke. But then duke was built from the ground up as an 80's action hero. So it isn't too surprising.
Someone needs to make a Duke Nukem NES demake. They made Super Smash Land on the Game Boy after all.
***** Sounds good, but the first two duke nukem games before 3D were 2D platformers, they were just on PC, so it would be redundant. Instead, maybe someone wants to port the 1st to NES and the 2nd to SNES?
