This game is so weird, that I wasn't even sure this is real or not. Hell Im not even sure if this reality or just a weird dream.....
+Commander Shepard Oh, it's a real "game". I still have it with my Dreamcast games, but I lost the microphone it came packaged with.
If you think THIS is weird look up "LSD Dream Emulator". There are two incarnations of the game and they're both weird as hell but that is particularly true for the original. Whats the point of the game? Witnessing its strangeness. Seriously, there's no goal, no way to interact with anything (if you do, you get transported to another place and time), no plot, nothing but watching its weirdness.
Hollow Tim The reason why I'd say thats weirder than Seaman is because you at least have a goal in Seaman. To nurture your pet through life and converse with it. In the case of LSD Dream Emulator...I genuinely have no idea what the point of that game is.

*Fun fact about the Dreamcast:*
The Sega Dreamcast has no security, which means if u wanna burn a Dreamcast rom off the internet and burn it on a CD-R u can do that and play it normally on the dreamcast :0
Many of the games will be ripped though. Music or some cut scenes will be removed etc. in order to fit the original GD-ROM game on a regular CD.

I actually grew up with some burned CDs from Dreamcast and Playstation. The only game that was burned for the Dreamcast was Sakura Wars.
The Playstation....well let's just say the games that were copy games were 90% of my collection. Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot 2, Game of Life, Gran Turismo, all the Gex games, etc. Hell I even had some of the Playstation Underground/Jampack copy discs.

Okay, despite this game being so fuckin creepy, the idea of raising a digital creature that challenges you philosophically and gets you to think is so spot-on interesting and needs to be done again. Remove the tedium, add some more interesting gameplay mechanics that rewards you for all the time/effort you put into it, and change the creature to something less....horrifying, and you've got the foundation for a pretty decent game. This was certainly ambitious for the time it came out, think of what could be done with the concept now.
Like do it with a fuckin dragon, that'd be the perfect creature for something like this.
Just try not to think about Seaman being recreated with hyper realistic graphics and animation. That would be a living nightmare.

No, part of the beauty of this game is how creepy the creature is. You can't change the creepy ass fish because it's part of the experience. It challenges you philosophically while making you wonder why the fuck the fish is so damn creepy
