Hi Todd. I have a 530 CK diesel. I don't think it's charging, as I've have to jump it a couple times and the amp meter is basically at 0. What terminals on the regular do I need to check with the meter to see if it's not charging?
First thing to do is check battery voltage at the battery with key off and engine not running. This reading should be around 12 to 12.4 volts. If not, then fully charge battery before going any farther. Then start the engine and check voltage at battery again. If the system as a whole is charging, you should get a reading significantly higher than battery voltage. If not, then the system is not charging. Then we go to step 2 to figure out what part of the system is not working. Let me know what you find out.
