  • NEW vs OLD Metal Detector battle... who takes the WIN?
    No screen, no target ID... sometimes simple is sweet.
    The new metal detectors on the market surely have their advantages... but the old ones have their strengths & weaknesses too.

    Minelab X-Terra PRO Metal Detector VS 1997 Garrett Treasure Ace 100.
    If you enjoy the video.. give it a thumbs up. It's free. :)

    Thanks for helping out Destiny, you are a sweetie! Yeah, i did the head to head to head with my old Whites IDX and TGSL Vs the Legend, the IDX with a ten-inch coil pulled stuff out the Legend completely missed, I do like the idea of the VID, however, there is something about good old Beep and Dig detectors that makes detecting that much more fun. Another thing to consider about older analog detectors is potentiomètres vs the Digital potentiomètres on new ones, the old turn-style pots will have an overall better range for both ground balancing and discrimination.

      I think there's something just so sweet about finding things in the ground with a vintage detector. If I find a honkin' gold ring with it I might sell the rest of the detector fleet 😂 Maybe keep one other that can handle the beach lol.

      These are the machines that we Old Folks started with and the Next time you do this Comparison Stuff, you will need to try it WITHOUT ANY KIND OF PINPOINTER ????? TO FIND THE TARGETS AND back then it was a great Chore and you had to pick and choose the targets and the X-Terra Pro is a totally great Detector of the New Technology....❤.....

    These are the Detector's that us old folks have started with and the You Had to dig it all up but then some of the Garrett's Detector's you could hear a little bit difference between Targets but that was a few years later than that detector but then the Numbers are appearing and the Tone's got to 2 Tone and WoW about the X-Terra Pro and it's perfect knowledge of the targets and I❤ it .... compared to what we started with😢..... and the next time you do a comparison video you should do one of Not using a Pinpointer and do it the way that We did until the Pinpointer Came out to find the Targets and the HANDFULS OF DIRT THAT WAS HANDLED.. JUST TO FIND THE TARGETS.....😅..

    I think the gamechanger for XTP would be to have Mars Tiger Coil on it. I'm betting the result would better depth and ID on the deeper coins that may be reading iffy iron #s. I've seen quite a few newbie detectors not do well until that coil was placed on it. I think you would have the 1st XTP on steroids with that coil.

    theyre both going ro find the same things.
    depth is a function of power consumption. both will sound off when the field is interrupted with conductive material.
    the newer detectors can discriminate paramagnetism, but both can find metal at the same range.

    • @carolrice2063
      @carolrice2063 11 місяців тому +1

      That is about the Normal Numbers for Quarter's and I have had some on 86-90 but I have also noticed that it's going to be Site Dependent and on the Crust on the Coins that will make a difference on the numbers but that's a good range of Quarter Numbers and I have had 2 Quarters in the same hole and it was 92 VDI range but it's still site dependent and also the how old they are and how deep They are and how close to each other and possibly Many more theories of it but it's a good number range of Quarter Numbers.....

And that's why I'm glad to be using the Minelab X-Terra Pro that Doesn't make everything that is metal sound off Like it's a Great Target Tone Like Any Detector Made from Notka Macro Product's like the Simplex Ultra and the Legend Detector and I don't Hunt Relics and since I have the X-Terra Pro now, I have eliminated 2 Carry the Simplex Junk Bag's from my Belt that's not necessary anymore since the X-Terra Pro can know what is in the ground and the Simplex Was saying that it's all good to dig up everything that is sounding off.... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Now I leave it in the ground for the Notka Macro Detector's lineup to Find 😘😘😘😂🤣😂🤣....
