I was looking to X-Terra Pro but I saw some videos about the jumping vdi numbers and poor performance in contrast to other metal detectors. About Simplex new generation metal detectors I do not know much. As I told you I have a vanquish 540 which is good detector with stable and reliable vdi numbers but it is not waterproof. Larger coil on the Simplex Ultra. Round DD coils are superior for raw depth. There may be a slight advantage in target seperation with the oval coils so many say but I am not convinced. Oval DD coils produce diminished results and are hiding that detectors capabilities. You have to put the Equinox 800 coil on it to be fair. One reviewer stated that a larger dedicated DD coil may be coming. I hope it is a 12" round DD.
First one i didnt understood anything 😂 from second one any changes you did they could still pick signal ,so im no detectorist but so far I understood that the second one is better signalling hiden objects

The X-Terra Pro has a one inch smaller coil thus giving the Nokta Simplex an unfair advantage. 12" x 9" coil vs an 11". The first detection stage circuitry in the X-TERRA PRO and Minelab metal detectors are already maxed out, the sensitivity adjustments are only for the final stages, which is why raising the sensitivity levels on the $1700 Manticore will only result in feedback.

Aside from the extra "Bells & Whistles"...Does the Simplex Ultra run any deeper than the Simplex Plus? 🤔
confuse on the comparison...shouldn't the comparison be the Simplex BT (cost comparison wise?) vs the Ultra which is like 100 bucks more than that Pro?
What's the Simplex like on the Beach 🏖
How its work in beach that new simplex...?..The old simplex is unstable in beach..fake signals
al the time...I hope ther repare that fail in ultra..🤗
Doesn't the X-Terra pro have the same sound as simplex as an option? 5 different sounds right?
They sounded about the same to me, apart from their different audio responses. Is that ground really mild? Noticed you didn't do ground balances on either machine.
Did you do a ground balance and noise canelation on both machines ???
Simplex Ultra for the WIN!
A great comparison would be the highly regarded Vanquish 540 against the Ultra.
And the price...

💯 the simplex ultra banged them out with ease and I was expecting the xterra to perform extra well in this test then it struggled to get a lock on the target not really what I expected but the simplex omg that had no issues and its a prototype
Just ordered the MINELAB XTERRA PRO to use with my older Simplex and Qwest X10 Pro as the new Simplex Ultra balloon sounds would drive nuts :-) my guess is MINELAB will come out with a software upgrade to tweak up the sensitivity in the price war between MINELAB and Simplex

I own an equinox 800 and a Manticore but I bought the simplex ultra for my grandson. I think it has an advantage over the exterra
Yeah ultra and xterra pro are both decent but i favour the ultra as its way more responsive and sharper
But you are stuck with the single frequency of 15 MHz on the Simplex Ultra and the X-Terra Pro is a totally changeable single Frequencies Detector and it will open up the permission again.....5-10-15 And 8 MHz for the Beach, compared to the Simplex the X-Terra Pro has more possibilities.....
@@carolrice2063 when I run my Equinox in single frequency mode, I feel that 15 KHz is the best. It’s the most stable and has fewer problems with EMI. I’ve used the Ultra several times and it’s an impressive detector. I feel like I made a good choice

hello which the best nokta ultra or xtra terra THANKS
Thanks for the video! Intesting test. Nokta sound better.
Nice video but I still cant stand the way that Notka detector sounds, I'll go with the X-terra pro
I'd prefer Nokia audio over the constant falling on pro
That simplex was banging out the targets, FairPlay to nokta looks a great machine, good video mate👍
I wonder why nobody ground balances the XTerra. After any change (Mode, Frequency, Recovery Speed) you need to ground balance for best performance.
I like the XTerra Pro better. Nicer display and great depth and target ID in my bad soil.
I agree plus notice he never put it Recovery Speed 3... huge mistake, among others... read my post from yesterday
@@ParkMetalDetecting recovery speed 3 is fastest, so would not have helped with the depth tests
@@toby000000 but it will help if he would have touched the grass and ground with the X-Terra Pro but he doesn't and Yet he does with the Simplex Ultra and looks like a great detector but at the end of the video, he was definitely using the X-Terra Pro and Was hitting the targets and started to fiddle with the X-Terra Pro button's to make it not sound good but for sure I will be getting a Minelab X-TERRA Pro and They have Now lowered the price of the Simplex + to be under the price of the X-Terra Pro and I have a Simplex + and I know what I paid for it and To Me that is a great sign of A of a better detector from Minelab and Notka Macro knows It. So they lowered the price to keep the sales of the Simplex good and have UA-camrs promote the new Simplex Ultra as a better detector but re-watch the video and And the only time The X-Terra Pro touches Or even close to the ground is at the end of the video and it is sounding off on Every Target but he is also fooling with the X-Terra Pro button's All the time, but doesn't with the Simplex Ultra and the proof is in the video of the biased One Way of the Test Too promote the Simplex Ultra as a better detector but it's not and WHY would Notka Macro Product's lower the price of the Simplex+ . If it was a better detector and would of sold itself At the same exact price of $ 289. When I bought the + detector that It was before the X-Terra Pro Came Out and now it's the lowest price of $249. And the X-Terra Pro is $269.and that's great news for the beginners but to me that is a sure sign of weakness for Notka Macro And trying to get more Detectors sold on the cheapest price point of Detectors and people that don't show us the real truth that I caught him in his video of doing the biased test for the Simplex Ultra and the video is the only thing that isn't and will never lie to Anyone, but you have to go and watch the details and know that it's Works better to be close to the ground, when you find the target and then keep sweeping the ground to get more info from the detector and you can see that he is not close to the ground with the X-Terra Pro and he is in to promote the Simplex Ultra as a better detector but it's Not At All..... and Minelab X-TERRA Pro for the Win.........

The problem I
Am having hundreds of hours on a Simplex on beaches and grass and the same on a Minelab 600 his depth here is misleading slightly when you actually use it you bump the ground Minelab hands down has always handled that better without falses , I just got the Xterra because my 600 is in for warranty I’m hitting stuff deeper and harder at beach and I’m wondering what’s the iron bias on these two machines ?
Which do you say is better machine simplex + or Minelab terra pro
I personally do prefer the ultra… more responsive to targets and more stable TID… there both decent machines though. Great options for the entry level market
They have no more Updates for the Simplex + and it's on the Discontinued Detector List as of 2021 and I have recently went there to see if a update is available but To only Find out that's it's not a Valid Detector Anymore..... And I love the X-Terra Pro ❤️.....
The one thing I could never stand about the simplex was the tones and they seemed to get worse.
The tones and tome breaks are now fully adjustable
Great 👍

Nobody ever wants to do that. I find it strange. I know nothing about the quest machines but I wouldn't mind learning a bit.
I have had both Q30 and original Simplex - sold the Q30 on, it didn't have the same detection depth. Still quite a nice machine & something a bit different, build quality very good.
How many Frequencies does the ultra have ?
What's the price of the simplex ultra in the uk
Coils have a lot to do with that. Nokta has put a better coil on stock then the Minelab. What is Nokta 11" round coil? The Minelab is 12×9 elliptical. I bet the Minelab with there 11" round would be a more fair test. But that's what they get stock for the price.
I cant remove iron .i put discrimination on4 but it aleardy sense all iron things

I've got a Simplex and it's always been good.
Thinking of upgrading to either a Nox 9, Deus 2, or the Legend.
Would appreciate your opinion Sid mate.
Many thanks.
I'm in the same boat. I own a Simplex and Gold Kruzer already. Looking for something that will do Salt water wet sand too. It's between these 2, would include Quest V80 but not sure when it'll be avaliable in the States.
The legend is the best bang for your money, deus ii is good but im not as impressed since the last two updates have took a step backwards imo… im currently using the nox 900 as my main machine since having from January and i am absolutely loving it….
All the machines you mention are a great choice and very similar in overall performance but if money wasnt a point id pick 900…

Very interesting... my x terra performs so much better? I've up gunned to the 14" X 9" coiltek... this transforms it far more in every way... depth... sensitivity etc... compares well to my deus 2 !

Hello from Greece, I am a vanquish 540 owner and I want a waterproof metal detector in order to search in salt water beaches mostly but also in the parks and in the fields. I am very confused and I do not know what to buy X-Terra Pro or something out of the three new simplex series? My budget is 300€. Since I have noticed you have used them I would like your suggestion. I am waiting for your reply, thanks in advance.
I would go with the X-Terra Pro and it's a water 💧 proof detector and I have noticed that ALOT of people that are making Video's of the X-Terra Pro, have the sensitivity on the full sensitivity and the jumpy VDI is very much present but I don't know of any kind of detector that will work on the Full Sensitivity and Not be unstable and Jumpy VDI and when I was using the Simplex + I would have to be at 3 bars and anything higher it's the same exact thing as the X-Terra Pro is doing but NOW that I have the X-Terra Pro and I have mine set at 12 Sensitivity and I don't have the jumpy VDI until I get a Junk Target And it's a nice feature to have and I love it ❤️ the X-Terra Pro and I would take 10 more X-Terras than 1 Notka Macro Product's.....
Thanks a lot my friend .@@carolrice2063
I didnt like the xterra pro.. too erratic… the new gen simplex ultra is a good machine, im not sure about on salt water beaches though.. for a dedicated beach machine you may be about to get a used equinox 800 for just a little extra on budget, its worth saving up that little extra as 800 is a great beach machine

How is the simplex on hot rocks and come fields Sid ! That might be the difference
I used the ultra on a old saxon/roman site and there was a lot of coke present, ultra gave a 15 tid on coke with a noticeable flutter in the audio, i was able to pick tiny targets at 15 that wasn’t coke out the area so can tell the difference… on the minelabs a tid of 1/2 is coke but not tells if good or bad…
Larger coil on the Simplex Ultra. Round DD coils are superior for raw depth. There may be a slight advantage in target seperation with the oval coils
so many say but I am not convinced. Oval DD coils produce diminished results and are hiding that detectors capabilities. You have to put the Equinox 800 coil on it to be fair. One reviewer stated that a larger dedicated DD coil may be coming. I hope it is a 12" round DD.
Ultra by far.

Si vous voulez allez plus profond les grand disques équinox sont compatibles avec le xterra
Xterra pro whith 11 coil from equinox is better
Did you try the field mode on the X Terra pro ???
Yes
Could the xterra pro be over hyped?
The detection depth was poor and the vdi numbers were all over the place.
I think the pro will still be a popular machine, just seems a little slow on recovery speed and capability of unmasking… but still only initial tests and more to be done
Simplex hands down without a doubt from what I saw, no frigging around trying to get it to work
That only proves; he doesn't know how to set the X-Terra Pro up to get the best results!!

A test should be when you locate a real target in the ground, then do real deal testing.
What is the difference in prices?
The x terra pro and simplex uktra standard pack are vurtually same price.. thats with no headphones
These kind of tests make me wonder say if the ultra came out first then the xt came out later I wonder who would show the better? We've all read posts about guy gets a new detector and goes back to a park that's so called "hunted out" and kills it. Hey look the deepest machine IMO is the sovereign GT if you can still find one, just saying.
I had the elite which was virtually same machine… great at depth especially on the beaches… but slow on the old separation though… both the above machines are ideal for beginners and my preference was the ultra out the two
Simplex had the upper handed…surprised me especially when running through the different frequencies on the X-Terra….quack quack..
