This is so cool! My brother is the owner and this house is absolutely his childhood dream! He did so much work on this house to restore/ update it as close to the movie as possible❤ So proud of him and so cool to see his house being loved and enjoyed too! Thank you Daily Woo for the awesome video!
Your brother did such a great job! Wish I had known it was an Airbnb. I would have tried to book it for at least a night when I was there last year. Ah, next time!
Im watching this as im staying in the house!!! Just watched Short Circuit with my friends. It's so magical and awesome watching the movie, while in the house.
80’s were a good time to be a kid. Graduated 1987. Good times. One summer we watched weird science every weekend. It became this strange ritual. Not sure why.
Johnny 5 is definitely one of the more iconic robots out there! I used to watch this one repeatedly, but I think it waned for me after listening to the El DeBarge song too many times! (Listening to it right now.) Good gosh, I'm back in the 80's again!
My husband and I stayed at the house last summer! The owner is also super awesome and a huge Short Circuit fan. We were able to meet him before we left and he shared all kinds of facts and info on the house!
Wow. I had not thought about that movie for years! I had graduated HS the year before. I remember me and some coworkers going to the movie and Mexican afterwards. We were all single and young and had a movie night when ever we could together. Such good times!
Absolutely love that you stayed there. Short Circuit (and the sequel) feels like one of those 80s movies that doesn’t quite get as much love as it should.
Hello, I just wanted to let you know that at the 26:58 mark of your video when looking into the glass showcase, you can see a little truck. My brother Jorge made that truck out of laminated paper and gave it to the current homeowner. He's actually working on a scale model of the house and property out of laminated paper. He's put a lot of time on so far and looks amazing. I also loved the video you did of The Goonies. Have a great year.
As an adult, movies are usually a one and done for me. It amazes me how many times I would watch movies over and over as a kid and a teen, like Short Circuit and The Goonies. Oh to have that time again.
Very cool. You're having a great trip. The Goonies and Short Circuit are also a couple of my favorite movies from my childhood. Thank you so much for sharing these locations. Can't wait to see what you have next.
One of me and my brother's favorite movies from the 80's!We watched it alot."Hey laser lips your momma was a snow blower!"Super awesome you got to stay there! Thanks for staying and sharing your stay!
OH WOW!!!!! I've followed your travels for years and this might be your most unique visit yet. I never even thought about Short Circuit locations!!! EXCELLENT VIDEO!
Such a classic 80s film, So Rad to you stayed at the actual house, love that they painted back the color it was in the movie, plus your Johnny5 voice was spot on! Haha another great one!
You do some fantastic vlogs but this one I'm honestly blown away, as a kid i loved this film, i watched it so much it was ridiculous lol, i will be making it my business to watch this again haven't seen it in ages Adam, Thankyou
I was a junior in high school when Short Ciarcuit was released in the movie theater and spent date night seeing it opening weekend with my now husband.❤️ We still have the VHS tape of it. Another great one Adam!
This is so AWESOME! I love this movie. So many funny segments and one liners and great 80's music! My favorite is the reprograming of the robots to be the three stooges. Safe travels Adam!
One of my favorite movies from the 80s! I'm glad you finally fulfilled my request to film the Short Circuit house after all this time! Short Circuit is a very extremely underrated movie from the 80s along with The Neverending Story, D.A.R.Y.L, and Flight of The Navigator! They should all be as celebrated as Ghostbusters, The Goonies, and the Back to the Future movies!
Really loved this vlog! You were so detailed and hearing your passion and interest is so sweet. It's hard to not get excited listening to you describe each scene! Thanks for sharing this with us!
Love your appreciation for the work someone has gone through to maintain this bit of history. And that you don't take these experiences for granted. I'm so glad you are enjoying Oregon and hopefully encouraging some tourism. Thanks so much Adam. You Rock!!
I feel so happy !!!!!! It is a blessing to watch your videos You are contagious Those happy tears made me so so so happy ❤ May the Lord continue to bless you
Really enjoyed that Adam, Watched short circuit in the cinema with my older brother when it came out. Great days the 80s for everything. I was born in 76 loving the videos pal.
This is so awesome! i never new Goonies and this house where so close to each other. I just looked at short circuit house on IG. He stated the deck rail was indeed recreated with a plan drawing. Throughly enjoyed this vlog! Thanks
I always like your 80’s family movie locations as my kids were born in the 80’s and we rented these movies at our video store. We LOVED short circuit! And the goonies!
It's a true pleasure to see you visiting the places that mean so much to you . If anyone Deserves to be Happy it's you Adam ! Your knowledge of places is awesome I really love it when you're happy 😊 and to think you spent the night too! Safe travels Blessings from Tammy ❤️
I didnt know we are the same age Adam!! I am right there with you being an 80s girl! I am loving you for showing this awesomeness of this and Goonies...LOVE!
OMG 😱😱😱😱! I won't watch until this evening, but I'm so excited that you are covering Astoria!! I visited my cousins there in 1990 when these movies were fresh!
My goodness, Astoria is breathtaking...They're all booked up for my birthday week. I'll have to figure out another time. I love this movie, so much so that it's probably also responsible for why --"subconsciously", Wall-E is my personal favorite Pixar film. (I stand by it, Wall-E absolutely looks a LOT like Johnny 5.) Thank you again, Adam the Woo.
Astoria is well known for many iconic filming locations, such as “The Goonies,” “Kindergarten Cop,” “Free Willy” and more. The house overlooks the Astoria-Megler Bridge, which is featured in another scene where the robot Number 5 is pushed by a military vehicle and falls off the bridge, leading him to meet Stephanie.
My buddy owns that house! He put so much work into that place. The railing out side had to be reverse engineered to match the movie. Such a cool place!
If you pull up this house on Google maps you can see just how much work was put into restoring it to the look from the movie. It appears the Google maps was taken from 2016. BRAVO!...to the current owner of the Short Circuit house. 😀
Thanks for sharing this. Haven't seen it since it came out . I believe I will watch the movie today, shall I. Yes indeed. 😄 keep showing us these awesome places!!☺️
I am an 80's nerd- I love the movie, the Who's Johnny song by El Debarge and Steve Guttenberg! Great video Adam, this is definitely one of my favorites!
I love Astoria. Awesome little city and it's like a little Hollywood. Short Circuit, Goonies, Kindergarten Cop, Free Willy, TMNT III, and I'm sure a few more.
This is why I love your channel! Being a kid in the 80's, born in the 70s myself, I totally get the vibes! and you , good sir, get it too. Ahh, what memories.. The cool thing is, the movies were just iconic during this time period. Its like my childhood was timestamped by these cool movies and all the adventures created in my mind come flooding back with these things. Thanks man!
Super cool! You get to do all of the cool stuff. I loved Short Circuit and that is the reason why I also love Wall-E. Little Wall-E reminds me of a smaller version of Johnny 5.
So cool 😎 Being an 80"s NERD myself I haven't seen this probably since it came out, I'm ashamed LOL 🤣 I must watch this soon... maybe this weekend!!! This house is absolutely adorable! Thanks Adam!!!!👍💜
Great video. I’ve stayed there myself and the view is amazing and close to many great sights like Fort Stevens park, the Astoria column, Cape Disappointment Lighthouse, and more.
Thank your brother for all of us, he's living the dream and he's done such an incredible job. I look forward to visiting myself now someday. 💚
That’s awesome! I wish everyone that bought a movie home would rent it out!!! If I had the money I def would!

It's a gorgeous home!
Im watching this as im staying in the house!!! Just watched Short Circuit with my friends. It's so magical and awesome watching the movie, while in the house.
One of my favorite movies, I still can't thank you enough for doing this Adam!!
This was my favorite movie, when i was little.
Very nice view🩵
Weather in Astoria is mostly cloudy☁️☁️
One of my favorites! now I get to go back and watch it.
Started watching 80’s movies recently again. Man! Simpler times indeed!! 😢
80’s were a good time to be a kid. Graduated 1987. Good times. One summer we watched weird science every weekend. It became this strange ritual. Not sure why.
The best era ever
This is exactly why I started watching Adam. No one does filming locations better.
What a Beautiful View. I bet there's some Huge Ships that come through there.
We are going to have a 80’s watch party this weekend because of your filming locations!
Heck yes do it !
Johnny 5 is definitely one of the more iconic robots out there! I used to watch this one repeatedly, but I think it waned for me after listening to the El DeBarge song too many times! (Listening to it right now.) Good gosh, I'm back in the 80's again!
It’s one of my personal favorites as well . Love Johnny 5
@@TheDailyWoo the "your Reassemble/ disaasemble part had me laughing!!"
What's that animated movie that ripped it off? Wtf? It's animated and they come up with a different design of the robot!
My husband and I stayed at the house last summer! The owner is also super awesome and a huge Short Circuit fan. We were able to meet him before we left and he shared all kinds of facts and info on the house!
How did you rent the house?
Airbnb
Iconic movies from the 80's. That's my childhood from the 80's. Thank you, Adam.
From wake up in a van in a abandoned parking lot, to waking up in a movie house. Hard work does pay off. Congratulations to you sir.

One of my favourite 80’s films for sure!! 🤖 ❤️
Johnny 5: “ Hey laser-lips! Your mama was a vacuum cleaner” 😂 such a classic!
Snow blower...
I’m a new subscriber. I really dig your videos. Love the pacing and chill style. What an pleasant watch
Loved these 80's childhood movies. Always dreamed of visiting the US to see these iconic locations. Thanks for showing us from the UK.
Absolutely love that you stayed there. Short Circuit (and the sequel) feels like one of those 80s movies that doesn’t quite get as much love as it should.
Thank You Adam Happy Travels
This was so cool, Adam, from start to finish... really terrific... Thank you, for taking us along.💥🤗👏🤠
This movie was on repeat when I was a kid! Childhood favorite for sure.
Such an unexpected visit, but this was one of my favorite childhood movies, and I still watch it from time to time. Good work on this one buddy.
Watched Short Circuit 2 hundreds of times as a kid. It was like 5-6 years ago I found out I was watching part 2 and there was a part 1. Blew my mind

My daughter was born in 1984. She watched this movie endlessly in the 90s lol.
The view is really beautiful, morning coffee on the back porch watching the cars going over the bridge….gorgeous terrain.
Great price for airbnb and one that has an experience like this! Thanks for visiting and sharing with us all!!
This is amazing. Grew up loving the Short Circuit films and seeing locations from movies I loved as a kid in the present day is comforting.
What a beautiful house and place to live.
Great vlog, that bridge is quite amazing - glad you had a good time, looking forward to tomorrow now, thanks for sharing 💖

you just inadvertently reminded me of the short circuit games i used to play on my amstrad cpc as a kid in the late 80's, I have to look them up now.

"Input, more input" Great job with this input to the interwebs. Stay safe out there!

When I think of this movie, the scene where No. 5 crashes through the railing always comes to mind first! The 80s was truly an amazing time! 😀

“THATS RIIGHT! C’MON! DO IT” Arnold went undercover as a kindergarten teacher in Astoria. “IT’S NOT A TOOMAH!” LOL
The first Twilight was filmed in Oregon including Ecola State Park.🦊
I didn't realize free willy was filmed there too.
I'm pretty sure Overboard was filmed there too.
I was just talking to my boyfriend about that movie yesterday night. He’s never seen it and then you upload this. Awesome
My buddy owns that house! He put so much work into that place.
The railing out side had to be reverse engineered to match the movie. Such a cool place!

One of my faves growing up! I thought fisher Stevens was Indian. Johnny 5! I liked the sequel a bit more
"No disassemble!" 80s nerds rule. Didn't have plans to head to Oregon but after watching this and The Goonies vlog... 🚙💨
