Great video Taylor! I love how you've focused on getting the creative and candid shots and shared your perspective and goal as a second shooter. It definitely helps me get in the mindset more! Also you have the best personality and I'd love to meet you someday! You're an awesome human being!
Great work, good eye, especially you know how to speak in a video, it is the first time that I do not die of boredom, you made me laugh several times, when you said "México Save me" you earned my like and my subscription. Greetings from México.
Yo taylor, you are a legend, im drunk and I havent even watched the vid yet, but just wanna say i appreciate the vids you put up because they help me a lot. hope you are doing well!
I appreciate you! You’re one of the first few photographers I’ve watched when I was trying to get back to shooting weddings a few years ago and I love your easy going approached and making it look so fun!! Now I look forward to watching your content today while I edit my recent wedding. Lol
I've been watching a few of your behind the scenes videos and just realized you work in KW. I used to work at Whistle Bear as a bartender, loved it. Now I'm wondering if we ever ran into each other haha Love the videos, keep it up!
Questions about your starting point in the editing. I noticed you have a bunch of sliders that have already been moved as you are going through the images. Why is that, did you apply one of the presets during import or use lightroom auto? The second question is in regards to ISO, for D750/850 you were using at the time (My best guess) what is the max ISO you usually go to during the night time. I noticed you were at 5000 on a few images after the sparklers
Great idea with the voice over. I was thinking to do the same on event photography and how to flow through people naturally like you are one of them and make them feel nice but i guess im bit lazy for now ! Maybe one of the next ones
Hi Taylor, I noticed, you are shooting at f2.8 the whole time with varying Shutter Speeds. So, how are you controlling your ISO? is it set to Auto? A follow-up, how are you gauging your Shutter Speeds... from the in camera meter? Lastly, I have a Nikon D750 with a Tamron 70-200 f2.8 & a Tamron 24-70 f2.8, knowing obviously Nikkor is the best, will my images still have a chance at being somewhat as sharp?
Hey, Taylor, I'm a pretty recent member of your Patreon group, and I've loved digging into your presets and seeing how you build and implement them. When you pulled up the Mexico preset, that looked pretty cool, and I don't remember seeing the TJ Destination Presets on Patreon. Did I miss them somewhere? Thanks for the great content! Learning so much from you!
Hey Taylor, the images look good but I think there's something wierd going on with that lens you're shooting. Feels like the sharpness is just a hair off. If you look close at the eyes and skin tones, it just looks a tad off. Maybe the focus motor's off or something w the glass. I can't really describe it but I'm pretty sure I can't be the only person who's seeing it. Maybe someone else can take a closer look and tell me what's happening here.
How do you recommend first getting into wedding photography? I want to get some experience and am even willing to do it for free just to learn but not sure how to get started. Btw your videos are awesome I learn a lot and they are really humorous! Nice to see other UA-camr's from my city too!
I just picked up a z6 today as a second body. I suspect it’s more than good enough. Interested to see how it handles darkness and super low contrast dance floors
when i was a kid i dream to be a photographer, but sad because i got pregnant at early age, to i wasn't pursue my dream, and i hope someday i have a nice wedding, and got married to the one whi accept me and my kids 💒😊👰, every girls dream, 😊😊
@32:37 How can you NOT edit out the 2 paths and the horrid white chalk bear paw 'thing' at the front of the tee ??!!....with a afore mentioned edit, from a good image too a great image IMO...just saying....Great vid btw ;)
Your photos are very good and i appreciate your work a lot, the edits are amazing too, you're very good with color grading. Also i don't think people need photos of travel agency book, like they literally ain't gonna look at it more than once, it has no significance to them too. I wouldn't care about having a photo of that, you and the rest of the people probably don't care either.
Couples don’t really need any of the images we take. I’d suspect most would like the story of the day though, and by including the honeymoon as a single image of that it makes the story stronger, more personal, and better for them to look back at

Yesssss a longer video! Love it! I would love to see some more videos about posing and directing a couple from you! Keep up the great work
I can watch these all day.
Joined your Patreon the other day just for the full wedding day videos, and then you upload this one! Today can't get any better
I miss the shutter sound :(
Great video Taylor! I love how you've focused on getting the creative and candid shots and shared your perspective and goal as a second shooter. It definitely helps me get in the mindset more! Also you have the best personality and I'd love to meet you someday! You're an awesome human being!
Just supported your patreon yesterday. Sooooo much useful information. Definitely worth it
I love your intro don’t change it!
I have to add pizza to it
Taylor Jackson I guess you got a point

Hahah amazing!
The commentary is the best!
Thank you so much for these videos. My first wedding is next month and I’ve been binge watching your videos. Thank you for the advise.
Happy they could help!
DO NOT switch the intro that one is great !!

Had to go off and find that survivor video. I'm glad I did. It's gold.
I am loving the 360 degree camera to be honest, all though I am sure the workflow is a lot bigger hahaha
The best wedding video ever 👍👍👍
You're so LEGIT dude, loving your 2017 BMW courses ATM
Thanks!
Oh man, I’d love to see the whole wedding group photo. I understand why we didn’t though. Great video 🖤

Yah I usually just sync the preset across all the photos. For iso, 10,000 is probably still fine as you’re pretty close to correct exposure
Great idea with the voice over. I was thinking to do the same on event photography and how to flow through people naturally like you are one of them and make them feel nice but i guess im bit lazy for now ! Maybe one of the next ones
I lovvvveeee your skills and your editing tooo
I use a 70-200, did you crop those solo wedding entrance shots? Or was the camera just shot vertical?
Love this video! P.S. Ya'll should invest in a camera harness.... literally a lifesaver.

I’m manual iso (and shutter) - can for sure get sharp shots with that kit. I just select shutter speed based on meter and also test frames
The Tamron zooms are just as sharp as the Nikkors imo. The G2 version is great value
Those are some awesome pic s
Thx so much for the video! How do you have your 360 cam mounted? Do you have it on your head or shirt? 😀
Belt clip
im the type of ppl luving to be 2nd shooter ,,less pressure haha
Great stuff as always! I wish I could have seen the picture Lindsey took on the latter.
i love your skiils and i love the way they edited hope im this good one day
I find the distance with the 70-200 crazy. Do you really need to go that far back?
Can you cover white balancing in another video? I think you mentioned thinking about doing that somewhere in your recent vids, no?
So a slower shutter speed would help mitigate the flashing LED's on dimmers that shouldn't be on dimmers? Is that right?
Yah. Or anything that flickers
hi taylor, how can i get your lightroom preset?
I love these videos! Keep it up😀

Hmm they should be in there somewhere in the top highlights section. If they’re not let me know and I’ll get them up when I’m home Sunday
Can u share the location of this wedding ? Its beautiful

Probably just video compression. FL is a great lens that’s perfectly fine tuned on my 850
So much useful information

There’s lot of stuff on this channel (30 day course) as well as the Book More Weddings 2019 course and/or Patreon!
Is there a way I can just buy the presets without being a part of the patreon
Yep! They're up here: www.taylorjacksonblog.com/lightroom-presets
Think it's too early to switch to the Z6 or Z7 for weddings? Which one would you chose? =P
I just picked up a z6 today as a second body. I suspect it’s more than good enough. Interested to see how it handles darkness and super low contrast dance floors
Taylor Jackson please do a Patreon review. Would love to see your thoughts on it 👌🏼👌🏼
We’ve shot 5 weddings with the Z6 so far and it has been a great tool and addition to our current lineup. You won’t be disappointed.
In my first testing with it and the new firmware I’m super impressed
😂😂😂 you crack me up sometimes man 👀
wow....
she is so cute....
When they are headed toward you are you in AI Servo mode For focusing.
I am a Canon shooter and I just had a wedding when they ran up the isle.
Yah I am. Pretty sure that’s the equivalent of AF-C
Please me I ordered your presets and I don’t have them
They should come instantly in an email
Are you using the d500?
850
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto the 360 cam makes the camera body look smaller or something :) Nice video!
You naver talk to much about ISO. I see that you used pretty high ISO specially indoors. Don't you have issues with noise?
Bertkido he most likely doesn’t considering he’s using a FF Nikon and those can handle high iso very nicely so most likely he doesn’t!
Most of them are also iso invariant so is not so important

Great ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do your presets work in luminar?
I’m not actually sure. If they run the same .xmp that Lightroom does they will
Intro 😮
This will probley be an odd questions, but what kind of shoes is Lindsay wearing? They look cute but wedding comfy? lol
I wish I had one camera
Yeah, last time I did a wedding with sparklers, they held the sparklers above the bride and it burnt a small hole in her dress.
Good
Are you on af-c?
Yep. Sometimes afs once it gets really dark
@@TaylorJacksonPhoto are you wide open or on a higher f stop?
i wish my wife was a photographer too : (
Lindsay just started second shooting with me when we first started dating. In about 2 years she had a pretty successful business of her own
