Wow Lindsay is such a fantastic soul! Her joy and confidence made everyone so relaxed and happy. Crazy how quickly she can assess the environment and get beautiful compositions. Learned lots from this video! Thanks Lindsay!
Love this, thank you so much. I vote for more Lindsay content, she is lovely.
Lindsay! This is solid gold. I would pay to watch this. And I’m only 8 minutes into it. The way you interact with the family is amazing. The way you graciously prompt them without them even knowing…SO GOOD. ❤
She has such a lovely personality! :)
Loved this content, very valuable!
I feel completely vindicated for all the times my couples have laughed at how often I say "beautiful", "perfect" and "gorgeous" after each shot I complete. 🤣
OK this was awesome! Lindsay is so effortless. She gives such amazing tips also. It was a great BTS to watch. Thanks Taylor and Lindsay!
I am absolutely soaking this up and learning so much. Thanks Lindsay!!
She’s so sweet I love her personality!! I watched you trip three times over. Lol
The family cried, Lindsay cried and I cried too! You can call it a 3 way cry-stalgia! ❤️✨
Absolutely LOVE this BTS video. So helpful to those photographers venturing into shooting weddings
“Just slide into my DM’s…Just Kidding..”😂😂😂
Lindsay you are a delight to watch. As a female photographer it's so helpful to watch another female photographer make it look so easy and comfortable. One thing I must say is you were freaking me out with the way you were carrying your cameras. I'd hold my breath each time I saw you swap or put one under your arm 🤦🏼♀️ I know for us chicks the double holsters aren't very flattering but I use one and it just makes life so much easier. I totally totally recommend finding one you like. Otherwise you did an amazing job and it's just great learning from you and picking up little tips & tricks 😀 PS. I do enjoy watching Taylor too he's a good teacher too!!
This is one of the most useful UA-cam videos I’ve watched. So so helpful! I love rewatching before I do weddings
Best video on the channel. Loved this. Always nice watching how other photogs navigate through out their day.
These videos are so great to watch! I am so happy that you do this!
It’s the craziest thing when women get together with other women, how they talk! Great video as always! Thank you
Love love love this, we need more Lindsay on here
Your wife is absolutely beautiful and charming and if I were getting married I would want her to be my photographer! More videos with Lindsay please!
What a pleasant and informative surprise. More of Lindsay please.
Thanks for saving my camera!
Great Video, Lindsay has a great personality and clearly had a connection with the couple which clearly made the day flow smoothly, I second more content from Lindsay on the channel
OMG, she is totally the female version of you! ha ha Love it!
Great video! Even as a wedding photographer myself, I learned a lot.
Wow. This was great.
Wow this was so helpful, thanks for sharing!
I love this! I feel like all of the weddings I’ve done so far the couples are super behind on getting ready and then want like 30 family photo groupings and they just don’t have as much time for everything
This is a fantastic video and Lindsay, you have a very nice way with your clients.
Wow I have never seeing Tayler’s wife before, she is great, so sweet.
I really enjoyed watching this video! I hope Lindsay does more of these!
I do second shooting most of the time, but I also take lead assignments sometimes.
I feel like I learned something from watching this video, and it made me feel more confident with what I've been doing and gave me ideas for the next wedding. :)
I’m 45 to 60 mins early its a wonderful piece of mind for me
Taylor, you should definitely be proud, LINDSAY COULTER, killed it!!!! I would love to see her upfront more in your video, actually taking lead, but I know she probably isn't comfortable with it, and I would even like to see her do gear reviews from her perspective. She is extremely well organized and comes across well on camera like she has been doing this (video and prospective work) all of her life and almost better than you Taylor. The two of you look like you make a great team together and Taylor thanks for doing this and showcasing your very gifted wife's talents. Keep the outstanding content coming. Take a bow, Lindsay, you rocked as well as your second shooter.
I lv love seeing this behind the scenes photography #TaylorJackson
great work
Your idea for when the bride & groom are walking out is FANTASTIC! Do you ever stand on the ladder during the ceremony for a different perspective?
thnk u lindsay, learnt a lot from u..
THANKYOU...
Really enjoyed this! Would have loved to have seen some camera settings. I can never shoot in that much greenery without getting green skin tones. Yours are lovely.
It’s more about where the sun is positioned and where the couple is than settings to avoid green skin tones! Try keeping them in front of trees vs under them, and find spaces where light can nicely hit their faces instead of just filtering through trees!
I like this
A technical question - how do you balance the WB with flash/yellow interior lights/bright light coming from outdoors? From what I see, you were using a speedlight without any gels.
I really like the color grading of your photos, do you have lightroom data?
Which preset is being used to edit those greenery background photos. I badly need it !!!
Great video! Awesome photos! What preset does she use?
What lenses you wore throughout the event, Beautiful video I love the way they have for wedding photography
I recognize this venue. I think Taylor shot a wedding here before
Hola, I am loving all your content and your wife is stunning! My husband and I are also a team and are excited about Maui. We are defiently considering joining you guys!
very sweet and professional photographer 🥰👍👏👏👏
I want to know what settings shes use. Pls Taylor
Love the light bright look but i always wondered is the background blown out and clipping or do you just ignore that just to be able to get the exposure correct on your subject? I was always worried about blowing out the highlights and it printing a white blob. Please tell:)
Does Lindsay have her own presets, if so are they for sale? If not, does she use yours? I like the editing style...
What backpack is that and where can I buy it? Thanks
What kind of autofocus are you using on the r6?
I wanted to know why you quit using the 50mm. I've got all the focal lengths covered but I'm in love with the Canon 50mm RF f/1.2 L lens!
Great video. What f-stop did Lindsay use when she was doing the multi row group shot after the ceremony?
Are your presets and Lindsay’s the same when you guys do weddings? Just curious
Where can I buy the photo checklist shown at 6:44?
This is beautiful. I shoot with my wife too. Though she prefers a Nikon hooked on to a 50. She can shoot an entire wedding with that and a v860ii
Taylor and I don’t shoot together often actually! We have two separate companies, but it’s always fun when we get to second shoot for each other!! Nikon +a 50 is what I shot on for most of 2021!
your a lucky man .. your wife is kool and super talented
Pack a command strip hook for hanging the dress. Saved me a time or two!
White sneakers a must :) Pew pew lol
Nice
Canon AE1, My first Canon (many years ago) was an AE1 Program
NICE
I just started to bring heavy duty command dtrips to hang the dress and it works so well for the dress shots! I love the video, thanks for sharing.
Need the uncut, full BTS footage of his instructions to the groomsman at 45:42 lolol
Very hard working
wait, isn't that the Nikon version of the Godox flash? How is working on a Canon?
Could you explain more about expose for highlights? Or show an example please🙂
Hi Sanna! When you’re dealing with a situation that’s both bright and dark, you want to set your exposure based on the brightest point.. I can always pull up shadows in Lightroom after but if the highlights are blown out you can’t get data back that isn’t there. Finding a happy medium for both the highlights and shadows is the goal! So glad you enjoyed the video!!
@@LindsayCoulter I appreciate you responding thank you Lindsay I’ll def keep that in mind for my next shoots 🥰
So are we mostly (or exclusively?) seeing the pictures you took that day or the ones Lindsay took?
These are all my images or my second photographer Tim’s! Taylor was just doing BTS video :)
@@LindsayCoulter Cool. Thanks for answering Wasn't entirely sure so I thought I'd ask! ;-)
cutsies ❤
Oh man!!! I cannot wait for Lindsay in Maui next may. Y’all are going to poop yourself from what she teaches you. (figuratively speaking).
And thats what you pay money for , skills , knowledge and professionalism
I wish i have her confidence.
It comes with experience!! And not sure if you heard me tell Tim my anxiety was high during the ceremony haha, the confidence isn’t always at 100, we just do it anyways 💁🏻♀️
Wait, does Lindsay have the same sense of humor as you?
Great video. Let's have more Lindsay BTS. Is she using your preset too? lol Or she has her own? Kinda have that overexposed Fuji Pro400h vibe to her photos.
Nikon flash on a Canon camera and it works
shot a wedding there in july - but was surprised as it wasn’t like any of the other places i’ve shot at ! i was basically told when and where to do my photos. even for the first kiss i was almost forced on a ladder when i stood my ground and finally said no lol.
even on that pathway the girl was like “okay you can do your veil shots here” like excuse me? i guess they assume every photographer gets the same photos. but not me. i would never ever do veil photos with a lime green backdrop in full sun. i would do it during golden hour. 😂
standing on a ladder to me is so cheesy! and unsafe in the shoes i was wearing. especially if some teenager has to stand on one side to secure it.. no thanks! i don’t like overhead shot photos like that anyways. beautiful venue but it was odd!
Wow! Who was the person “in charge” of calling the shots for the photos that you were “allowed” to take? That’s crazy! Thankfully, I haven’t experienced a venue like that. I’m going to have to figure out an elegant response now so if the day ever comes, I’m prepared lol I don’t want to be rude and embarrass myself or my couples, but I definitely want to give them the best of my ability and what they ultimately have paid me to do!
The worst things I have encountered as far as someone else hindering my shots are:
A priest who told me that I could NOT photograph the ceremony, that any images could be “recreated afterwards”, then later told my bride that I could stand front side of the church to capture images until she walked down the aisle (as long as my camera was on silent shutter) then I had to move to the back of the church… okay, cool! Except when the day came and it came down to THAT VERY SECOND before family started being ushered in, I was made to stand at the back of the church the entire time! So, not great angles of bridal party entrance, no parents reactions, nada!
And then last Saturdays wedding, everything down to the officiant was friends of the couple, who do not do the jobs they were doing that day professionally. They were just providing favors for the couple. The lady in charge of the “timeline”, when I went to get the bridal details from the dark, back bedroom where the bride was getting ready at this house, so I could photograph them in good lighting, she says “where are you taking those? Why can’t you do it in here?” I have to be mindful of the fact that she just didn’t know, she doesn’t do this for a living and is looking out for her friends belongings…so I politely explained… she was absolutely unwilling to let me take them out into the porch…so by the kitchen window it was lol. She stood over my shoulder taking shot for shot of the rings, bouquet, invitation, shoes, etc…until I turned the camera around to show her MY picture. I guess that confirmed for her that I actually DID know what I was doing lol 🤷🏼♀️🤣
where did she find the 85mm F1.4 mirrorless? i cant find it for sell anymore
Canon sued them last year so they’re hard to find now and only second hand
Lol it’s like a woman version of you same personality so awesome. 😊 #teamsony😉
Really Don’t understand the first look thing. Seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle is part of the magic.
Portrait 160 a lot of photographers will rate it at 125 or 100 and even a few at 80.
First look that’s when you realise you need silent shooting camera 😢
Dont take the camera strqp off, trust me
Lindsay, say it proudly, you’re a pescatarian not a vegetarian. 😉
Hahahaha I really am a vegetarian 99% of the time, and the 1% Taylor got on camera
But your work very powar full
I'm weding photo garpher
“Just slide into my DM’s…Just Kidding..”😂😂😂
