- Epos H6 is my favourite gaming headset and relly good for FPS multiplayer games. Unfortunately Epos has closed their gaming devision and these are going for really low prices right now. I hava a feeling these aren't going to be around for longer, so if you are in the market for an amazing wired headset then definitely check these out

Good luck on your warranties boys. I submitted a support ticket and they replied after 2 days to ask for my details, I sent them my details and I've been waiting for more then 10 days for a response.

I just picked up the H6pro Closed for $35 shipped from eBay and they sound GREAT. I’m on PC and added Dolby Atmos and using Movie mode and Detailed with a DAc/Amp and footsteps sound really clear without super harsh gunshots and vehicles. I’m ordering a new cable because the included non mic version is pretty short. I tried plugging directly into my PC but the volume was lower than I’m used to so unfortunately can’t use the mic
i bought this headset for competitive gaming use... and oh boyyyy, the game sound details, directions and audio imaging are better than anyheadset i have ever used in my life compared to any logitech or hyperx or razer headset.
also its passive noise isolation is sooooo good and maybe the best

That’s a really good price, I was told it’s going even cheaper at times, someone here bought for £55 which is crazy low. It’s a shame these will disappear soon.

The H3Pro Hybrids are $120 on Amazon right now. Amazing sound and comfort for the price. It's a shame because they beat everything I've had previously by miles. I'd have been a loyal EPOS customer. I even prefer these over the Audeze Maxwells.

Ah man I hope you don’t get in trouble 😂. I love the sound signature of these but I think soon we won’t be able to purchase them. I’m not too keen on wireless tbh and much prefer my wired audio solution. Between the steel series Nova pro wired and epos H6 I much prefer the Epos, they’ve really changed my game.
@@thephototechy So they got delivered yesterday, tried them on and im noticing that they're extremely quiet. I've got the dial on the headset on max, and on my Astro mixamp it's maxed and it's not even half the volume of my astro a40tr, Is there anything specific you had to tune in order to get them louder, at this volume it's like 25% what i'm used to. cheers hope you're having a great day
Nvm I changed usb ports on the back of the xbox and shot a gun in apex and absolutely blew both my eardrums out. Whoops
@@bahgoesthesheep hey I have this issue with the mixamp that if u leave it connected when the Xbox is powered down, the next time I turn in the Xbox Astro some different unless I disconnect and reconnect them. I think it’s a Microsoft thing and not Astro’s fault, apparently Microsoft is about to open USB audio like PlayStation so we are in for some serious wired audio options.
@@thephototechy Yeah nah I actually do the exact same thing. I think I was so excited to try a new headset I didn't even think of that and instantly just thought it was the headset. Once I changed USBs I thought. Oh I needed to just unplug it then plug it back in to fix the sound. 😂😂😂

Bro I’m a bit upset about this one as I really do like their headsets. The Corsair virtuoso pro look promising to me, it’s strange how epos couldn’t continue in gaming sector.
I use the h6pro closed with gsx300 on ps5 and the sound is way better than plugged in controller.
I know what you mean bro, I was surprised at the difference myself as GSX300 didn’t say anything about PS5 compatibility.
Be better again with a G6 fuller louder cleaner G6 is audiophile grade and very powerful also. Direct mode for atmos or use the 7.1 or stereo mode but turn on suround aswell for 3d imaging in stereo... tears of the kingdom stereo surround 40% re4 remake 7.1 67 % surround or just use dolby atmos or sony 3d instead
I’m sorry but PC38X is way better and it’s the same price, that said it’s sad to see EPOS going this route, I love what they did together with Sennheiser 🙌🏻
Yes PC38x is loved by everyone, these are now going for less than half the price of PC38x, I still need to get a PC38x but so thought I have the sennheiser HD598 and I read that they are pretty close sound wise. Still PC38x is on my list for some time and hoping to get one soon.
I thought the PC38x has a strong clamp force. The H6 w/ the Dekoni pads so comfortable.
Great great video!.. I have to epos h6pro open back. I have steelseries GameDAC gen 1, gen 2 and astro mixamp pro tr. So np fire them up.. So no need for thinking buying the h6pro close back?
Love your videos by the way Pc38x are open back and are quite expensive for me i am getting the h6 pro closed for half the price should i buy them i listen to music alot watch movies and play story games on my pc should i buy the h6 pro closed back or give me another headphone suggestion

@louieduarte7436 they are very nice just using them alone with the ps5 it's nice I also use it with my tablet and Nintendo switch. If you use a headphone adapter it's great for iphones and Samsung phones to watch movies.
Hey brother, I just noticed that Gamesir has released the 1000hz update for the app on xbox/pc. I'm using it on xbox and the response is unbelievably consistent. Would like to see your opinion on it, I would 1000% use this controller as my main but i can't adjust back to 2 paddles. been using 4 paddles for 7+ years. cheers bro
Hey I’ve been testing it since yesterday. Aiming feels like have a subtle change for me definitely, but the triggers feels so responsive never played with single fire without trigger stops and had this much fun.
Do you think these will be on amazon for a while or should i purchase a pair or 2 now to stock up?

Bro I’ve been thinking about the tygr 300r for some time. I do have the nova pro wired with gamedac gen2 and the it’s a solid pair. But I honestly think compared to your setup you might find it a step down, I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about the TYGR, and I honestly wish I’d bought the GC7 instead of G6.
I have this theory that the best headset is the one you like the sound signature of. I personally like a bit darker sounding headphone/headset and the epos H6 open really suit me well.
Warzone is a bit of mystery to me as I haven’t played it yet, currently only on MW3 multiparty and BF2042. Personally I use the cinema audio settings, I know people mention different ones but for me cinema seems to work the best on the H6pro open.
I’m thinking of making a video on audio latency, as I carried out a few tests and had some shocking results on Xbox, using Astro mixamp and steelseries gamedac gen2. I’ll definitely will be doing something on PS5 as well but PC is out of my reach atm.
@@thephototechy I honestly tought it's gonna be better than my setup but the TYGR it's honestly really good and precise and you can keep the headset all day because it's so light and comfortable. On rebirth with this headset I could hear the sound very clearly and be able to differentiate the distances and surfaces the players were walking on. That was free wallhack i was able to preshot and shoot before the ennemy was here. unfortunately my headset fell several times because of my cat and I lost a lot of precision in terms of sound on Warzone 3. But I don't know if the sound of the game in question is bad or if it's my headset. At the moment I'm looking for an equivalent or something superior to the tygr 300 but I don't really know where to turn of you have any suggestions :)
PS : The SCOUT MODE on the GC7 it's excellent for fps
Has anyone been able to remove microphone side tone??? I hate it I need noise cancellation completely without static noise while audio is playing.

Hello which settings do you have with the epos h6 closed back in mw3 with ps5 ? And is it better with soundblaster g6 or normal wired with controller ?
Hey so I use home theatre in MW3 settings and G6 is way better than the controller. You can even do a custom eq if you find the base to be too heavy, I don’t mod their tuning so leave it as is.

Do you think the Astro mix amp made any difference is it worth getting for the Xbox than just plugging in my headset ?

I got the h6 pro closed as a gift whilst theyre on discount and they cane broken. The left ear doesnt work, the sound is super quiet on the right and the mic dont work

Hey I do have the closed back as well. Gamedac gen 2 on PS5 is an amazing device, also compared to gsx300 will give you way more options like eq and mic sidetone. If you are going to spend extra money on the gsx300 for ps5 I’d say get the gamedac gen2. Epos H6 closed back are a very good headset with a lot of bass for my liking, also I do find them a tiny bit harsh at times so I always find myself using the open back. Still I think going the usb audio way on PS5 is worth it.
I have a video in the works comparing the gamedac and g6 on ps5, hoping to get it out in a weeks time. In the video I’ll be comparing them to the controller audio and explaining some crucial benefits of usb audio.

I bought the Xbox version and the only difference is colorway. The Xbox version is all black with the exception of a neon green accent around the earcups.
I got the h6pro closed for $60 CAD, it sounds horrible and tinny. I have a Astro mixamp pro tr, idk wether to return it or what. I’ve tried everything to make it sound normal but idk
Hey that’s strange coz the closed back do have more bass and definitely don’t sound thin to me at all. I also use mine on Astro mixamp on seriesx with an optical extractor. I haven’t used an Astro tr headset and the boy use either the sennheiser hd598, nova pro wired and H6 open and closed. To me H6 are by far the best experience for pin point accuracy and immersion.
@@thephototechy I use the mixamp through pc, could it be something about my pc specs or audio drive. The first one was open box n was damaged, they ended up sending me a brand new one still sounds ass lool. I’ve tried so many eq settings not that ik wtf I’m doing but literally like no bass. I keep hearing good things n don’t wanna make a mistake returning them
@@unhappycloud4120 hey so on the Astro can you check that no eq is being applied. Astro do have their own eq on the device which makes things very thin for my liking. Check the device and see if your selected eq is neutral, also try just plugging them in your motherboard audio as well to see check for the sound there. If you’ve tried 2 pairs then having a faulty pair is out of question for sure.
