    I have the H6Pro closed backs. I've had them for a year as well. Probably one of the most comfortable headsets I've worn. The earcups are insanely huge and have a TON of of room for big dumbo ears like mine and the clamping force is very forgiving especially for larger heads, like mine.
    It has soundstage, imaging, and detail. Granted, it doesn't have the soundstage of an open back but it's amazing for a closed back. I mainly play BF2042 and I have no issues pin pointing enemy locations with audio cues. It has clear audio separation so your bass, mids, and treble don't mix and muddle up the rest.
    I have used the following when I compare this headset so you know where I'm coming from:
    EPOS H6Pro open
    EPOS H3Pro Hybrid
    PC38X
    Sennheiser HD 560S
    DT 900 Pro X
    DT 770 250 ohm
    Tygr 300r
    Corsair HS80
    Razer Blackshark V2 Pro wireless
    Steel Series Nova 7x
    Even after using all of the headphones/headsets listed above, I am finding the H6Pro closed backs impressive.

      How does sound quality of the Blackshark V2 pro rank up against 560S specifically? I currently have 560S and have tried several from your list. The H3Pro had great sound quality but failed for many other reasons. HS80 I used for almost a year before they broke on me -- I give their sound quality a 4-5 out of 10. I give the 560S a solid 8 (especially with EQ mama they are good). Arctis Nova Pro Wireless just behind 560S maybe 7.5. H3 Pro 7.5 for sure, the bass really punched in those.

      @drewmorg6446 The Blackshark V2 Pro wireless does have better audio than the HS80 but won't hold a candle to the 560S. The H3Pro Hybrid sounds better and has more detail. Soundstage and imaging is also better on the H3Pro Hybrid. I use the Blacksharks for my WFH IT job. I just got the DT 990 Peo 80 ohm and Fiio K5 Pro amp/DAC and so far I am loving the combo. They're super comfy and sound excellent.

      @@Drewsterman777 My man nice. I got Schiit Magni for my 560S and I have line-out from my XLR interface which has a DAC so I'm getting relatively clean audio signal while retaining my direct mic monitoring which I love right into my Magni amp for proper listening volumes and extra detail/separation. It's not night and day but it's definitely noticeable. My XLR interface, even though it got "loud", was always missing something. Things felt a bit hollow and of course you could drive it into really bad distortion territory.
      I refused to listen to music on HS80 I'm glad those are long gone.

      @drewmorg6446 Yea the HS80 is ok for gaming. Decent soundstage and imaging but the bass tends to muddy the mids. I always lowered the bass and sub bass on them by 3dB and had the mids increased +1 with the highs elevated by +3dB. Made them tolerable for gaming at least.
      Audiophile headphones with a ModMic attached is the best experience imo.

    Thanks for your 1 year later review. I’m happy I bought it based on your clear explanations in your reviews! I Mainly play open world games. Death stranding, assassins creed ghost recon and Cyberpunk. The soundscape and immersion in my open H6Pro is excellent. My ears don’t get tired because open and the highs are not loud, mids are very detailed and bass is there but not overwhelming. As you said music, is excellent too, trumpets, vocals piano. Yeah, I’m a long time Sennheiser user too. The clamping force is a bit too much to my taste. I’m nut sure of the DAC supplied with it besides it supplies Virtual surround I do not notice any difference on my laptop. Thanks again. Greetings from the Netherlands.

    the racing green version is half off at $130 in Canada. It's probably heavily discounted cause epos gaming division shut down and are trying to clear stock.

      @@District.24 I got my h6pro yesterday and even just plugged into the controller the sound quality is noticeably better then the Astro a50. More detail, more detailed bass that hits lower and does not get all muddy. Sound stage is also wider. Makes me want to buy something like the hd800s now…

    Thanks for the review Troy. Would you recommend the closed or open version of the H6PRO's for me? I mostly do gaming anywhere from open world, FPS, to story driven etc. and second to that I usually watch shows, movies, listen to music and streams etc. I'm not the biggest fan of hearing outside noises when on my PC whether it be from my PC fans or others around me while immersed. I guess in general, what offers the better feel + sound overall while keeping you engaged? Thanks again!

      If you want isolation from outside noises then closed backs all day. Open backs are open so they let sound in and out of the headphones.

    i just purchased the H6PRO , i now find out the EPOS software version 1.11.0.1102 doesn't support windows 11 and it doesn't detect any devices , that means you can't use the equalizer to tweak your audio , you think that the company would have an update prepared for this new windows format but they don't , how do you feel about this and were you able to change any audio settings for this headset

    • @District.24
      @District.24  Рік тому +5

      EPOS' software only detects the amps and the wireless headsets. It won't detect the H6PRO. I use the H6PRO on the PS5.

    • @District.24
      @District.24  Рік тому +6

      I use the EPOS H6PRO on PS5 and on PC. On PS5, I connect it directly to the controller. On PC, I connect it to my Sennheiser GSX 1000 DAC/Amp. The H6PRO is my preferred choice, because it checks all the boxes for me. It's comfortable, it has an excellent mic, which is flip-to-mute, and detachable. It has solid detents, and the sound signature is perfect for FPS games, which I primarily play. The bass is enjoyable, the highs are not overly enthusiastic, and the mids are prominent - making foot steps easy to hear. But most of all, the H6PRO has outstanding imaging, which allows me to, comfortably, pin point where enemies are. As a bonus, music sound wonderful on the H6PRO. The H6PRO is the most well rounded gaming headset I have ever used.

    • @Drewsterman777
      @Drewsterman777 Рік тому +1

      @@District.24 I second this. The H6Pro is just an amazing all-arounder headset. It's great for gaming, movies, shows, and music. It has good bass response, clear mids, and detailed highs. I have tried quite a few audiophile headphones and gaming headsets and the H6Pro beats all wired headsets and competes with audiophile headphones.

      That’s not normal. The H6PRO is very loud. It all depends on what you have it plugged into.
