Good information brother. Never have owned a daiwa reel! Looks pretty good and I like the “T” line guide, and you’re right, makes sense that it would allow less friction of the line when casting!

So far I haven't tried a Daiwa reel, I like their rods. The only thing with combos for me is they have to match that's all.

I use Shimano and lews reels and I have been really wanting to get the lews super duty 300 for big swimbaits

I like the low profile size of lews but my Shimanos cast smoother. Just picked up the Chronarch MGL and it palms really well, weighs 6.5 and so far I like it better then my slx dc though on a windy day that may change lol. Interested to see you work that zillion, heard nothing but good things about it.
