Great video, I tried this method with my triple magazine pouch and it works. Although instead of installing shock cord/bungee and a pull tab (I didn’t have any) I installed paracord and duct tape (as a pull tab). It works, it’s much more low profile, quicker to reload, and the Velcro flap doesn’t get in the way. Now I have a dual system; both open top and closed top. You just saved me $20 - $30 dollars, I was going to buy an open top mag pouch. I also showed this video to my friend in the Army. Keep up the great work.
That’s on point!!!! I’m glad it helped you out ! Stay tuned tac tailor is modding their triple mag pouch for me so I’ll do a review on that in the future if you want something that is adaptable to multiple platforms and molle based over the buckle based

@@LegionPreparedness Will do! Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the great video. Simple modification that works great and saved me buying a radio pouch. Thanks again
Glad to help
I think this could also help with using cheap surplus mag pouches to fit AK mags.
Might be a little tight but definitely possible
Nice👍
Thanks ✌
Are you making your tabs out of one inch webbing that's just taped together? Or is it sewn, then taped for grip?
Sewn together, I was just taping them for the video in the event guys can’t get them sewn
@@LegionPreparedness
Gotcha. About how long is the piece of webbing? I figure it shouldn't be more than about 4 or 5 inches.
What size chord would you use?
I think its 3-5mm
