I did my first 50 hour service. I had to watch your video to find the oil filter lol. Mine was painted the dark grey same as the engine so it blended in. Thanks for showing us. Peace
This was a really useful video! I feel confident I can do my service on my own now and save quite a bit of money in the process. I always like to learn how to do my own maintenance on things. The more you know and understand about a piece of equipment, the better you'll take care of it. Keeping on top of maintenance and repair with tools and equipment is what makes things last a good long time. That thumb of yours looked really BAD. I hope it healed up good. Thanks again for the video.
Good job Tim. We don’t realise how much we use the opposing digit on our hands until it is injured. We become less dexterous and the injury is bound to get thumped or stubbed against something. Well done my friend. Take care. Stan
Good work Tim, I'm unfortunately at home today because I'm sick, been sick for 3 days, so hopefully I can get back to the drind tomorrow, good work, thanks for sharing, everything seems easily accessable on the mini 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you Tim. Excellent video. I have a KX057-5 on order. Your videos are so helpful to show what this machine can do! To say very anxious is an understatement! May not be here till March. Cookeville Tn here.
Hello Tim I got a E42 Bobcat and to adjust the track is the same but to save time I cut a piece of wood 1/2x1/2 and put it on the track put in grease till it touches and your done. To hard to get a good reading with a tape so the wood is a faster way to do it.
Thank you sir for the video been looking at getting a excavator and been narrowing it down between the kubota kxo 57 and the Takeuchi tb240 think I’m leaning more towards the kubota after watching your videos operating it
Some of those Kubota filters are proprietary. The hydraulic filter on my tractor you can only get it from the dealer, I run Wix filters for the other ones.

Track adjustment was very clear. I have 22 hours on new machine, U55-5, will be checking tracks NOW. Thank you Mr. Tim.
Thanks Tim for the heads up on the suction filter being a wire screen. I'll clean mine with break cleaner and save $130 bucks thank you.
It’s pretty big and unless you have a metal contamination or hoses start coming apart from the inside, there’s really no need to even take it out.
I enjoy your videos. You are calm, concise, and explain things that you do, in my kind of way.

I haven't done the engine oil in my machine yet but it looks like it's a good candidate for Fuomto Oil Drain Valve!

Hello there Tim and CT3 family 👍🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸

It’s a good practice to loosen the filler plug before draining to be sure you can refill it. Sometimes those filler bolts are buggers to get at/out.
That sore thumb is right in the way. Glad to see it getting better
Thank you very much for your help.
Cuestion the metal filter inside of the air filter compartment need to be replaced every 500 hours too?
Thanks.
It’s a metal screen filter. No need to replace it, just wash it with brake cleaner or something and put it back in.
Nice job very informative. So inspirational keep up the good work.
Let's know where'd you get that oil rinse from that is nice thanks from Gary
Tim how many hours do you think you will get before you have to change the tracks?
Did you drain the hydraulic fluid or just pull the filters? Did I miss how you drained the hydraulic oil?
We are currently out of those filters. Most popular Kubota filter, Napa is out down our way.
used final drive oil is such a nice smell.
What type of engine oil do you use?
Delo
Love my snap on tools
Good job Tim, Ow Me sore thumb:( mind Yourself My Man:):)
Great video!
You sure you measured from the right roller? Dont forget to put the seam up top first.
How much should I charge for that job just the labor
I don't know. This is my machine.
@@cotontop3 ok thanks
At 22 hours the U55-5 was way out of spec. Do what Tim said and check at 10 hours when new.
Hope your thumb recovered Tim, looks dang painful.
I would have changed that air filter it was very dirty and dirty air going into the eng is bad for the rings and cylinder.
What size shop Tim?
40x60 he said it in his shop tour video
@@Firebird_876 thank you
I thought you would be a rotella guy
