@@Blaynenusbaum30 Thanks for the reply. I will go for it. I didn't want to look stupid jumping into the fire with something I shouldn't be on. Saving my pennies now. Hopefully in the next two months I'll join the "dirt gang" and have me my "motor pony" soon.
If you are a brand new rider (like never been on a dirt bike before) then a 450 is way too much power! I have been riding since 2017 and I am finally moving up to a 450 next year. Honestly, I would get a YZ125 first and learn how to ride. A 125 will really teach you how to ride. If you are just starting out, a 450 may scare you a bit and actually hinder your ability to learn.
Yes definitely, a 250 will be perfectly fine, you’ll learn to be a much safer/ fast rider when your not having to worry about making any mistakes on such a powerful machine. there are few people that actually belong on a 450 nor need that kind of power for there riding needs.
Im confused about the handlebar position, he said he tried them in the front holes facing backwards but then said he moved them back to the stock position but said in the front holes again...
2:00 Claimed weight (?) of 240lbs, without stating Dry or Wet; ...dry weight could be 220, wet weight could be 260lbs lol.. If 240 is the wet, that's pretty good for a 450.
I guess i might get this Yamaha 450cc I had my 2 bikes 1 was my 1st I worked for my faimly for a 2006 CRF250R and never had plans to sell it then i had a 2018 KX-450 an, I had 2 jealous snakes 🐍 who showed up in Ski mask an stole both of my bikes so I might as well go with this bike or The Local MX Shop has a couple of Pro Curcuit Kwasaki Kx-450 an I might get a better deal an more extra's they have all Pro Curcuit Suspention, HINSON clutch Basket and Cover as well as Pro Curcuit Clutch springs everything is modded out but i feel like ill never be able to sleep knowing someone is low enough to still my bikes cause they were high on ameth an never knew how to make it at ridding or as an honest American so there begging someone to shoot them cause there value reflects there worth nothing obviously!!
@@micahhook3576 my understanding is they got rid of the big air vents on top of the shrouds and are now drawing air from the back of the bike to the front, could be wrong on that. But those vents were extremely bulky. I heard the frame has more ground clearance due to being able to push the cradle up because of how much smaller the crankcases are. Not sure the frame is much “slimmer” but that was never the Yamaha problem imo
Love the new Yamaha 450
I got mine one the way, super stoked!
Not sure what’s wrong with me but I love the short front fender
Looking forward to the new 250 next year.
Let's go I'm at work but I'm ready !
When they gonna make a new yz500
Is the wr get the same chassis?
Is this bike (450) too much for a beginner or should I focus on a 250? Does it matter that I'm 6'6, 250lb?
Honestly 450 is the flagship. Yes it's a lot.. but I learned at 15 on a yz250 and I was similar size. I say go for it. Trial by fire ❤

Nice lookin bike
Cant wait for a demo days next year, maybe get to ride one compared to my “18”

Often times the clamps are offset as well so forward holes and backwards position on the clamps ;)

It’s claimed about 240 wet
@@matt290v Thanks, 240 wet

PASS....
I prefer bare alum rims by a long shot, but
at least Yamaha doesn't dip them in tar like
all the other bikes today..

All the jumps turn MX into a circus act,..give me old school scrambling where you ride not fly, anyday
Looks kind of beefy still
2” slimmer is a huge difference believe that!
@@matt290v is it the frame that's narrower or the plastics?

@@micahhook3576 and to clarify, it is confirmed 2 inches narrower at the widest point of the radiator shrouds.
I hate that bodywork
Interesting, I actually like it. I don't like where
the fuel tank is though, and we've still got shim
valves instead of adjustable.. tedious..
It just looks ugly, I love Yamaha but the previous year YZ’s all look better than this one.
In my opinion still the most ugliest bike but remember function over form. Yamaha does it.
It's stunning, what are you blind ?
Yamaha dropped the ball for this year 450
In what Way?
What a another fart can lawn mower bike model? Does it have the bagger attachment included this year or is that a GYTR part only?
4 strokes sounds so bad lol nice motorcycles thoug just not as fun as the 2 strokes.
Then don’t watch it if you can’t handle the sound or the power and go take up knitting 🧶!🤣
