A few notes on your overall strategy. Not that you were doing poorly, I just do things very differently because I am planning for the end game as early as Turn 1. Taurox's doomstack is Gorebulls...as many of them as you can get. I don't upgrade anything in the Dread menu except for increasing Gorebull slots for the majority of early game to late mid-game. So I never worry about losing trash ungors. In fact, you want to lose 50% of your army at least 3 times, to unlock the Wading Through Gore trait (+20% hp on Taurox) as early as you can get it. To combat the constant losses, you'll want to recruit while garrisoned in a herdstone whenever possible, so you can replenish your armies faster, merging your units where appropriate so you aren't waiting for replenishment instead of attacking things in range. Outside of garrison, your encamp can only recruit 2 units per turn. Lords, heroes, and your starting Minotaurs are the only things you should make sure you don't lose. Because I'm fighting constantly, by turn 20, I have around 3-4 Gorebulls in his army, and I already fear nothing. I can usually make it through almost an entire Taurox campaign with just auto resolves and very few encircles. Until I obtain the Sword of Khaine, then I'm fighting solo with Taurox to get his hidden trait called "Army of One" (+5% Ward Save and +10% Casualty Replenishment), and the upgraded version called "The Brazen One" (+10% Ward Save and +20% Casualty Replenishment). You also want to make sure you kill The Sisters of Twilight with Taurox to get another +20% Casualty Replenishment. With these traits all unlocked and 19 Gorebulls, you can auto-resolve multiple times per turn for the rest of the game, rarely needing to rest. After I get 8 Gorebulls, I pause on their recruitment. I instead start upgrading their starting level in the Dread Menu (1000, 1500, 2000 dread to unlock starting levels 6, 11, 16 for lords and heroes, respectively), I amass as much Dread as possible, and I wait for a Cataclysmic Rampage so I can unlock more Gorebull slots 50% cheaper, and spawn them at level 21. After I unlock the ability to recruit 19 Gorebulls, I upgrade my herdstones to level 5. So that most armies delete themselves when they attack them. If you need a place to get an easy Cata Rampage, go to Ulthuan and wipe out the High Elves. They will swarm you the moment you raise your first herdstone. One thing to note though, you want to get Taurox the Sword of Khaine. He's probably the best character in the entire game to put it on. And you can't get it yourself. Someone else has to build the settlement up and obtain it first, then you have to take it from them. So if you go to Ulthuan too early, you might be screwing yourself out of the most important upgrade of your entire campaign.
You do you, but it sounds very much like the classic "doom stack" and "optimized playstyle" which i find dreadfully boring in general. The tips i give and gameplay i show is taken from a stand point of someone who does not care to go that far and just want a general understanding of getting started. I am just gonna say right away that while you are welcome to check out the channel, it will most likely never contain the kind of content that you are looking for, as its simply not how i play or enjoy the game.
@@Amalasian happy to help. He's a very fun character. And if you enjoy Taurox, I also would recommend giving Nakai (Lizardmen) a shot. I enjoy characters that let me ignore half the game (the settlement management portion of the game). Waiting on growth for 20+ provinces is maddening to me.
@@yobogoya4367 lol im not to big in the game. i tried that guy out didnt like him as he felt like a homeless lizzard rather then a wandering lizard. i normaly just play helman gorst
Fighting Solo with Taurox means going in battle only with him in the army or having the entire army but only Taurox fights while the others sits in a corner? To get the traits
for taking Kar Karond just spawn your army on one side and take the raiders with stalk and spawn them on the other side and just sneak them over the walls and take the main capture point which will let you win without taking a single casualty this is cheesy of course but hey do whatever is most fun for you! and yes this strat literally works for every faction that has stalk units as long as it's a walled settlement. I love doing it as Skaven especially
Honestly looking forward to more guides, I always have trouble in the first 10ish rounds and these really help me get a solid foot hold to start having fun
Taurox was nerfed pretty badly in 2.0 and now only generates 1 momentum after a battle rather than 2. This honestly kills him for me as its almost impossible to get a proper rampage going after the nerf.
You can use your stalk to cap points in city battles without fighting and losing any troops btw (if they have a large army they will have troops on the cap points so don't do it then)
Hello chap! Great videos, loving these, helps me try new lord in Multiplayer campaign, could I suggest Festus please, always seem to get attacked on 2 fronts and am unable to be in 2 places at once! Thanks!
No matter what, i cannot get past turn 15 as Taurox. I just get ambushed and wrecked by any of the legendary lords that are right next to my start. Nothing like what you did ever happens to me. in my 20-ish attempts I only got the gorebull/bray shaman option ONCE. the one generic dark elf faction already has a 10+ unit army sitting at Venom Glade that almost destroys my army, so I have to spend 4 or 5 turns getting units back. Is this a modded version where there is a setting that is easier than easy ?
They shouldn’t be unless you have a big yourself? You sometimes need to click twice to get your units to follow orders as sometimes they can be interrupted! For example units that are trapped in a fight struggle to follow the instruction you give them, alternatively you could’ve told your units to attack a surrendering unit, they will often stop when they’ve gone from surrendering to being broken! Also might be worth checking what stances you have your units in! Hope this helps :)
Only the guys at the front of a formation can actively fight in melee (unless a high mass unit breaks their ranks). The guys in back will move up when units in front are killed.
is Taurox broken in IE? I didn't do what you did, but I can't achieve any kind of rampage, my momentum goes to 0 at the start of each turn regardless of how many fights I do
i also have this issue, im not sure if its a difficulty thing or what but its like my battles are going against me instead of for me or something update: staying out of encamp doesnt work, im not sure whats causing it but its like its not possible to get rampage
I finally got a rampage to pop off, no idea what made it happen but it may have broken the loop. I may have fought enough battles in one turn to get the first tier
Forgot to include it in the video, but thank you to Deeno S for suggesting Taurox!

Every game Cylostra instantly colonizes venom glade and b lines straight for my herd stone when i declare war
Same.
If I can survive the first 10 turns then it's (relatively) smooth sailing.
Update#
That starting army no linger spawns in
That 20 stack to the east always gives me a ton of grief in turns 2-10
Once I get past that it's a fun campaign

Great video bro, love these kinda turn guide for totalwar campaigns
I really wanna see Slannesh. I know they are weaker than warriors but it's my favorite daemon faction
I would recomend go to ulthuan and grap the sword of Khaine

If there's a mod for that, I haven't found it yet.
I also have a really hard time getting Taurox past turn 10-15

I saw the challenges complete notification and have it myself, but I can't find that screen. what should I be looking for?
The "challenges" just unlock technology. Should be in the bottom right where technology usually is
Did his model get smaller, I feel like I remember playing him and he was a bit larger
keep up the good work
May I suggest Manfred for the next one?
I absolutely suck at Vampire Counts.. I'll see what i can do

Cant remember off the top of my head, but I dont think they can. You can vassalize them as Chaos tho
20 turn guide turn 1 go to see route turn 3 land in Cathay turn 4 break the game because the game melts when he eliminates Cathay by turn 15
how the fuck do i unstance to do the quest though
they just beeline to my herdstone. super annoying
