some tips i might add -not every dark fortress gives you the ability to vassal the local norscan tribes. you can tell by reading the symbol and you'll also notice the sites that actually let you vassal the tribes have longer (spears?) attached to them - do yourself a huge favor and at least recruit a 2nd lord when you take your first fortress. use them as a glorified intern/hype guy and let them follow your LL as they conquest so the 2nd lord can get lvls for ascending to demonhood -always remember that you can recruit gifted and warband units instantly so don't recruit them while travelling in your territory until you have to leave it, that way you save on upkeep cost
This video was both fun and helpful! I really, really like this format. Like someone else said, I also felt lost with my first CoC campaign. I tried watching some other campaign videos but some of those are like hours in length and they don't always explain the thought process. With your presentation you've edited out a lot of the boring stuff and condensed it down into something that's entertaining and informative. The Skyrim opener made me smile!
"Finally I can hit the auto-resolve button so I don't have to play the game" Just perfect. I like the "20 turns as" concept, looking forward to the next one!
17:32 U can use your dogs to destroy gates at the other side of the settlement far away from the battle and cap all of their points once inside. Use some bushes to hide them before the battle begins when possible so the enemies ignore that flank at all the majority of the times.
Great video. Once you can get Valkias regen skill in the skill tree she can easily solo most small garrison settlements. It's kinda bananas. I'm soloing tier 2 settlements with no problems
correction: even if norsca is vassalized if you overtake its "head" dark fortress you'll vassalize them. Ie if you fight other WoC a good way of weakining them is going for their DF's first.
Is it important to make most norsk vassals? I often give basis to my vassal for gold. Little extra cash for me and he can grow up. What do you think how important are strong vassals?
Making your vassals strong are usually really hard. They are coded in a way where they never get immensely powerful even with many settlements. So you can kinda choose to either focus on one, or just make as many as you want
I'm playing as Katarina and Not only is Valkia herself stupidly overpowered but she has 3 tier 3 units in her first army I encountered on turn 12 and now she is back again with another 20 stack with 3 more units of Tier 3 on Turn 18. This Campaign is pure cancer and these new factions have such a huge roster while I have utter dogshit units. Meanwhile they have 110 Armour Silver shield Anti Infantry Tier 2 units and my Tier 2 Units have a gun and they are not Armour Piercing. Its dumb as shit. I only just built a LVL 3 building for tier 2 units.
Who should i play as next, let me know!
festus!!!

Thank you for making this, I felt lost when first getting into the Champions of Chaos, keep up the good work
Glad you enjoyed!

14:25 AI Peace treaty... "So, you're saying you've got money..."
In my campaign i Made military alliance with malekith, having hydras drakes and some darkshards is so fun with khorne frontlines

I just use the shatterstone undivided gift of chaos for walls

ok i'm a 1:30 in and i already subscribed
Sigvald next please
What is the best way to earn money as Valkia?
I find her best way is to sack. You get many bonuses to sack income. Other than that, just take all the Dark Fortress sites
Weird thing I've noticed, please correct me if I'm wrong, occupying and vassalising makes your reliability tank all the way to low.

Those Khorne marauder unit card art is so bad compared to the Chaos Realm Khorne Warrior unit cards.
I have not actually compared them, I'll have to take a look later
20 turn guide videos... kind of like Legendoftotalwar's 20 turn "legendary" guides... just from a casuals pov 🤨
That was kind of the point
Legend is great if you want to watch someone grind away their life not having fun. The guy should step away for a while
