Loved this video!! Never get tired of looking at the mountains! I'd like to learn more about how the tunnels were built in those days with none of the modern equipment we have now! On to the next one! Thanks so much!!
Thank you. Yes, they did some amazing work considering they didn't have computers and GPS. They were still able to start digging tunnels kilometers long from both ends, using picks, shovels, and dynamite, and meet each other in the middle with only a few centimeters of error.

Amazing engineering and equally impressive Rail Traffic Control, aka Dispatching. I am amazed however at the absence of guard rails in certain critical sectors. Thank you for posting. Ontario, Canada. 2019/12/10.
@@lorirocks777 thank you very much from me too!! :0) I have one question for you, I hope it's not a too stupid one :-P From time 52'08" to time 52'16" approximately, you can see what looks like a second pair of rails, placed inside the two outer main rails, just like it was a short segment of a narrow-gauge railway (of course it's not the case!). What is their purpose? I remember to have seen similar pairs of inner rails, for a short lenght, also in other videos. I'm puzzled!! Thank you very much in advance! :0)

I really like the map at the beginning of this video. On these train rides, I look for maps and quite frequently the maps are held hostage by travel companies and it's impossible to locate even the towns on them, without having to sign up for a trip.
If the camera in use has automatic exposure then I doubt if you will be able to do anything to fix lens flare. The camera lens is still wide open after adjusting itself after entering the tunnel. Besides the effect lasts for just a couple of seconds. Why give yourself all the bother of trying to sort it out? If viewers don't like it - tough. I know why it happens and make allowances for that. I have to say that I was not mightily impressed with a rear-looking 2nd camera. Adding that perspective to the forward looking scene is only giving you extra work. That, by the way, was great. More Swiss railway footage, please!
