- Here is my review of Dan Mann's Firewire Twice Baked.
I was in a hurry since I'm on vacation for the week. I wanted to get this out while it was raining here in California. I will be surfing the rest of the week and hope to get decent footage for more clips.

FireWire are going to have to keep releasing new boards to keep you busy. An idea for videos could be comparison of different fins while riding the same board, say quad, thruster and twin. Would help to see how you go. Cheers. PS be very careful with Timbertek, it doesn't ding like a normal board but the wood cracks and splits. When that happens get out of the water immediately and let the board dry indoors for several days before repair. The wood sucks up water and stains. If you repair too soon before it's dry the wood delams. My local repair shop won't touch them as a result.
Great video! Fast 💨 & that 360 @ the end! I recently got the biggest twice baked potato 🥔 they make- 6’3” & 51 liters. I’m 6’3” 225 and usually ride boards in the mid 40’s liter-wise and my thought 💭 was this would be the cure to the common longboard for a big dude like me when it’s small. I threw in the TOMO quad hatchet 🪓 fins too. This board is a wave catching machine but I was surprised as how high performance it can be if you get a little speed, step on the tail and bury the rail. I use it anytime it drops to 2 foot or less or if it’s 3 foot and super high tide. Love it!

Hey Thomye! Great review! I have the TB as well. Awesome board. I recommend trying it with a twin fin and a small trailer centre fin. I use a more modern twin fin as opposed to a keel fin and it goes super fast and gets really loose. Give it a try!
Great review! Getting ideas on a smaller board experience. I use a 7ft Wavestorm. I'm almost 200lbs though. It's too bad there's no try before you buy. LOL!
Great review and agree with the sizing for a proper groveler, go a bit more volume. Have a 5'6" Seaside and recently got the 5'7" Twice Baked as a total grovel board and it is a ton of fun in that type of wave.

Took it out for the first time today! I ended up with the 5”7 because the 5”5 was sold out. One thing I disliked was that I couldn’t do the cobra/press up when punching through white water, other than that.. super fun and skatey!
Have the TB, such a fun board! Just wish there was a helium version option too, think it would go even better in small waves.
