- This tutorial shows how to join your hexies into hexie flowers 🌸
I am using Aurifil 50wt thread (pick a neutral colour!) and a size 10 milliners needle. Please see previous tutorials on how to cut and baste your fabric for hexies 🌸
I will do my best to answer questions in the comments so please have a read of those too x

Thank you from a learner 😊
Thank you for sharing how to do the 'knot' slowly enough so it's easy to see how it's done!
Thanks. Learned a new thing- your end knots.
Always sewed all the petals on first then took out centre paper before sewing petals together. Think I was afraid of folding it. Will try your way.
Thank you for your comment :) I have re-used my papers in at least 3 quilts! all folded, all the time.
Hello , Ive been watching all your videos on sewing hexie's. My first question is what is your preferred fabric, quilting cotton? Second question do you ever use starch when making a quilt using hexie's.. Love all your videos. Thank you
I prefer to use Liberty Tana Lawn but quilting cotton is also good. I don't use starch. Thank you for the kind words x
What were you needles you swapped over to please.
They are the Jen Kingwell Needles thestrawberrythief.com.au/?s=jen+kingwell+needles&post_type=product
When our cardboard were sewed and when you took them out, there is a funny side. Can I use it again?
I reuse my papers multiple times - as long as they are still the correct shape they should work!
Am I the only one who uses a threader to threading my needle??? And why you don’t uses one??
