1967 Dodge Dart: Fitting for Wheels and Tires

We get measurements from the wheel wells of our 1967 Dodge Dart so we can figure out exactly what wheels and tires will fit. We cover each measurement that applies to the Dart and discuss why they are important and what you can do with those figures. Light fitting for new shoes.

I had a 69 Dart with a 273 in the mid 80s. I put 15 inch police wheels on it with 215/70/15s all the way around. Fit no problems. But I did have the big lug pattern because I converted to power disk breaks.

@jjanbaldwin3219. Thank you for sharing! I intend to put disk brakes all the way around at some point. Just not in the plan, or the pocketbook, at the moment. We ended up with 14" american racing wheels. I really wanted something in black and those were affordable and available in the small bolt pattern. For tires, she has 205/70/R14 up front and 235/60/R14 on the rear. They have worked out amazing so far.

255/60/15 8 inch with 5.5 BS fits nicely 27.2 inch diameter plenty clearance. i have SBR and half inch cleared at wheel lip untouched quarter panel and leaf spring . 275/60/15 almost fit

Thanks for the info. I ended up putting 235/60/14's on the back but will keep this in mind when it's time for new tires.

Hey Arcadiac! Sorry it took so long to replay. I am just now seeing this. My springs are still in the stock location. She needs some repair work on the back end before I can think about a spring relocation kit. I may move them at some point but for now, they are staying stock.

15 x 6 on the front and 15 x 7 on the rear , 4 1/4 backspace on the rear.

Welcome Frank. Thank you for the info. We ended up going with 14x7's front and rear with 4" backspacing. Tires are staggered, 205/70/R14 up front and 235/60/R14 on the rear.
