What happens is you avoid getting in the same vehicle with them? Yes that’s what I was doing. My covert, narcissistic wife I would do anything to show up in a separate vehicle.

Always in the car! Makes sense, ive experienced the car abuse in different ways by one of em speeding to scare me and one yelling at me while i was driving to try to make me react so that she can say I was unstable. She reall knew how to push peoples buttons and I think it was because she was reinforced by her political science practice of gaslighting. She even explained that to me how it worked! This definitely makes sense!

Yes, i have cptsd travelling in the car as a passenger. Both my father and ex husband would verbally berate and scream at me in the car. Now i can only be the driver and i cut contact with both of them. Its hard when you are a small child dealing with this nightmare parent

My parents almost always argued in the car, even while it was moving on the street or freeway when I was younger. It was almost a constant worry for us as we were children.
