Agree! I've got it on DVD and only watching & listening for a few songs the first time playing it, I knew then it was special. I'm a Kiwi [New Zealander] and have always loved Roxy Music & Bryan Ferry. As far as I'm concerned Bryan Ferry is a musical genius and that is unique. Roxy Music could have been a genre of music it was so completely new - about the only band/group who never plagiarized a song. And that is rare. Roxy is one of the most intelligent groups of all time. Usually highly intelligent people tend to be academics with very little artiness/creativity in their brains - but on the contrary for Ferry & crew; Phil Manzanera, Andy MacKay, Paul Thompson, Brian Eno, Graham Simpson, Eddie Jobson, John Wetton, John Gustafson, David O'List, Rik Kenton, Roger Bunn, Dexter Lloyd, & Gary Tibbs - all the greatest musicians you could ever have in a lineup. They/Roxy should have all been Knighted as far as I'm concerned as their contribution to music has been enormous to say the least. Their influence on the music business industry has been unfathomable lets face it.

Chris Spedding's solo tells the tale of just how underrated he is. Sarah's gorgeous vocals and Bryan's fine keybording make this song a standout masterpiece.
There are of course some very proficient musicians on stage. But for me, that is not the really relevant point here. For me the most important point is how this is all made to gel together, create a lush soundscape and beauty. He really loved you, Jerry.
Chris Speeding looks a little bit strange like Richard Burton and appears with an unusual coat, but he is not only an excellent studio player, he also does a fantastic live perfomance here. Chris Spedding is one of my favourite guitar players. Not only with his own style music, search for "guitar jamboree" and you will see how autentic he is able to cover most of the great stars with only a few riffs, from my point of view he is one of the greatest and most unterrated guitar players.
Cue random comment about Justin Bieber and how music isn't what it used to be blah blah blah. Come on people, wake up. There's more great music now than there ever was. You just have to look for it. The current generation's Roxy Music are out there, waiting for you. And yes, this is sublime.
Nostalgic music at its very best. The combination of rock, classical musicianship and soul melody is utterly timeless. Great song. Great band. Peerless reach towards the ineffable quality of romance.
11 people have given this the thumbs-down. I have listened to this version for 16 years (having been at Hammersmith on the night) and, like you, think it is faultless.

Only crap I have forgotten about Roxy Music. They were my go to back in college when I was having a hard day and just needed to turn the lights out in my room, turn on the black light, close my eyes and just escape into my inner self. Bryan’s voice is just soul grabbing and the musicianship of this band is stellar. Thx for helping rediscover Roxy.🤘
What a great song.....Sarah Brown and Chris Spedding as well as the usual amazingly talented Roxy line up.... Brian even sings in Geordie at the start of the song !
Madre mía! ! Que guapo! !! Que hombre más sexi, bellisimo. ..esos ojos. ..Esa sonrisa ...esas facciones tan enigmáticas y mágicas. ..De verdad... My only love ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Esa voz ...Única! !!!

Beautifully pronounced bass notes in this version. Many Bryan's songs are rich in bass, but this one still stands out. I wonder if this is the intent or something that the uploader has done on his own accord.
Jeff Oliver, Chris Spedding is far and away the better player he was indeed a session player and in very great demand both in the UK and the US , he was drafted in on very short notice and added a real touch of class to the concert, added to that Kav Katz bass is absolute perfection they more than is credited were the bands anchor.
The whole concert is underpinned by Kav Katz just listern to that bass , utter presision, The band are excellent but Katz is just the bedrock , makes the whole thing move.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written.
What a performance❤❤
Underrated Roxy Music gem. Absolutely one of their greatest.
This entire concert is by far one of the best live performances I've ever seen!
That’s it!

Spedding is one of the best and certainly one of my favourite guitarists of all time. Massive talent. Super smooth.

I believe that is Phil Manzanera on Chris Spedding
Chris Spedding looks an awful lot like Phil Manzanera here!😂
Sarah Brown is fantastic on this song. I was at this concert and this song is probably my favorite.
I was at this concert I'm glad to say . I've been to many Rixy shows. What a night what a band , they are the best .
This song is so beautiful..it brings tears to my eyes♥️♥️♥️♥️💯🔥🔥 The vocals are spectacular!!
For my love , my lovely wife for more then 40 years
This is pure gold
Pure class. Roxy Music is unique in building the atmosphere of tension and melancholy.
One of my fav songs of all time. No one does it like Mr. Ferry!

Mind blowing. Some serious chemistry there! WoW!
Goosebumps everytime I listen to. Great Brian Ferry and Roxy Music.
Bryan’s smile at 07:20 , knows his band have nailed it and is absolutely loving it, Top Man 👌🏻

Visti a Villa Solaria. Sesto fiorentino. Stato insieme a loro nel rinfresco fine concerto nello stand retro palco. 2006 mi pare di ricordare.

Russia loves Roxy Music 👍
I'm surprised Manzanera doesn't play the solo, he is the band's guitarist after all - Spedding is a session player.
@@karlmylnere5712 Agreed. Spedding's solo here is a total shiver-fest. An exercise in subtelty and tone. One of the best I've ever heard.
