Thanks
is it Bryan Ferry or Oliver Thompson ??? ... perhaps it is OT with BF === brilliance personified !!!
Superb version and props to the young lad on the Red Strat I bet his mum and dad are really proud of him.
Got to meet young Oliver when Ferry toured 2007. Nice kid!
@@raelenesmith288 what’s he doing now? Like his style!
@@melldijkstra8502 I know he did a solo record a few years back, think he's still with the king of style when he's on tour though. (Oliver Thompson, style on guitar strings!)
J’avoue il assure
Isn't that Bryan's son playing lead guitar?
Thank you Mr. Bob Dylan for writing one of the most iconic songs ever.
thank you rose and send me some fish and chips. BD.
Thank you, Jimi Hendrix, for converting a bland mediocre song into a masterpiece.
Everyone loves a Dylan song......Dylanesque is awesome ❤️
He always surrounds himself with gorgeous leggy singers and young talented backing musicians. His sound is unique. He’s probably the best dressed performer in the world. Love everything he reproduces. Iconic.
Bingo!
Since Robert Palmer passed😊
Well, there is one Tony Hadley,
They all copied Ferry.
Bryan started university in Newcastle on the same day as me. He was doing 'fine art' and I was studying engineering. I was doing Dylan and other stuff at the Uni folk club and some lads asked me to front their new band. I turned them down as an engineering course was 'hard yakka'. They asked Bryan instead. I now play this song as a solo number at some of my regular gigs that I am still performing at the age of 76.
Great story. Not sure if you know but hard 'yakka' is Aussie slang- derived from an indigenous aboriginal word for work.
Unbelievable version of a classic. Incredible performance from the young lead guitarist and of course Ferry at his best!!!
Honestly, this is just about the best version I’ve heard, that 12 year old kid on guitar is amazin
The kid is good, but I think he is about 16.
@@lisabaltzer4190 Ha Ha, I was just kidding about the age
@@roaldyboy I know, but he really looks like a teenager. When I graduated high school, I looked like I was 12 years old.
@@lisabaltzer4190 you were a late bloomer! That’s good, you still look young and beautiful now I’m sure!
Keep rocking girl!
Absolutely! Oliver Thompson is his name, and I met him when the tour came to Melbourne!
This is what you call a singer who can actually sing and play keyboards, unlike today's crud they call music , Bryan is a Master of his Generation of music .
Doubt any of today's so called stars will still be around like mr.ferry is , and most of All look how many people who are there to see this magic !!!
70 years from now this will still sound great
That young kid with the red hair can really shred. Very talented young man
I think so!
Oliver Thompson 🎸👍
He looks like he could be the son of Stevie Winwood...
It's Oliver Thompson with the red hair also known as Ollie Forrest.
Hes this good at this age ,he will be amazing when hes older
Love the way Bryan smiles at the end, he's knows that's a world class performance.
Lead guitar is excellent! That kid is a star..Just watch.
Oliver Thompson.
2022 and the wind is still howling from this fantastic Dylan cover.......
Thanks, love Bob and Bryan long time ago.
WOW such an amazing combination of the most beautiful, smoothest voice ever and an incredible backing....just had to hear this over again!
I don't think Bryan Ferry did this cover to prove anything except the fact that he loves Bob Dylan as a writer, and I'm sure there is mutual respect as Mr. Ferry has penned many great tunes himself.
I wouldn't try to compare anyone's version of this song to Hendrix version, not even Bob Dylan's.
I think it was brave of Ferry to take on the style challenge, and I think he and the band he put together for this outing stayed within their limits and gave us a nice performance with lots of energy.
Negative statements about Mr. Ferry here are surely out of ignorance of his body work.
tooo truuue ... Bryan's brilliance is eternal !!!
NIce cover of one of Bob Dylan's greatest songs.
Great version. And young Thompson shines.
just freekin awesome. Dylan meets Roxy and out comes Oliver Thompson.
and the wind began to howl.....
Gorgious AMAZING gig. Young Dude on solo is so cool. Very much thank U.
Nice version of this song. Great guitars and Ferry is such a presence on stage.
Such a polished performance, to listen to and to watch!!!
Bryan Ferry as always ‘The Guvna’
Oliver Thompson is so assured on this song, he plays like a seasoned pro.
Wow. Never thought I would enjoy anyone performing this but Jimi. A brilliant cover and what a talented guitarist.
Awesome guitar solo.
One of the great covers of this amazing song. The young lead guitar really rocks
Oliver Thompson :)

Goosebumps in 2024. Doesn't get much better.
Great piece of work. Bryan has always bèen the smooth operator, kid on guitar plays well
I love watching the backig group and singers so enjoying themselves.
Perhaps the most played song all around the world in so many different versions!
Our NObel Prize poet, in this song gave us a complete and marvellous lesson of theology, deepest feeling of the Universal Soul.
Unfortunately lost on most fans of Bob Dylan.
All along the Watchtower - Bryan Ferry. It’s a very Ferry song full on entertainment as per usual from Mr. F. It’s growing on me.
One of the best songs ever. The words have meaning. Bob Dylan is a great songwriter.
What do the words mean? Is there a definitive interpretation? No.
great song, great performer, great band.
BEST version ever!!
one of the best versions on youtube, yes!!
Classic song....by a great band.....Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music! Huge fan! Seen them at the Coliseium in Richfield Ohio...doing the Manifesto album tour! Awesome!
I've always loved the lyrics in this song. Don't completely understand what they mean. But they paint some kind of ominous image.
Just fantastic thank you for making my night.
Sooo smooth, pure excellence, all of them. They deliver an amazing feeling.
Kocham Bryana i jego muzę! Wszystkie jego piosenki to majstersztyk!!!
WOW! What a "Voice". What a "Guitar". What an "Ensemble". It's the Best Rendition yet........JUMP!

Jimmy and Bryan, how could you lose. GREAT
Technically Dylan and Brian. Jimi covered it.
Who's the young guitarist with the slide and all? And the female singer next to Bryan. She was a joy to watch, such a lovely expression of empathy and sense for rythm???
Oliver Thompson is the guitarist. 19 Years old there.
That blonde lead guitar tore it up. Nice job sir. I really felt it.
this was one that was hard to miss

Exactly what I was thinking. Man alive what ability and tone!
Interesting performance, I enjoyed this version.
Oliver Thompson on lead guitar is only 19 when this was performed. Wow!
Wade Blanks Yeah, but he didn't played anything complex or hard... But I respect his talent!
@@OuttakedPerformancesTM well thats 3chord song , with a pentatonic guitar solo with some distortion and a wha pedal. The most important thing here and everywhere is feel :D
In fact Oliver Thomson is Jimmy Hendricks's reincarnation.
@@OuttakedPerformancesTM Not complex, maybe...but how many guys his age could get to say they supported BRYAN EFFIN' FERRY???
@@OuttakedPerformancesTM You ignorant dip-stick ...it's the soul flowing from the instrument that puts this guy in the stratosphere !
So sweet...so frigging sweet!
Vary good take on one of my favorite songs.
So nice👍🤟
I can't watch this enough!
LoveBrian and his choir..he knows how to pic them...just love

I loved & saw Roxy Music in the late 70s...Fave band then. Pretty good here too.
I saw then in '74, '75, and 2001. All in Detroit.

@@IWASBINDCANTUC Awsome, thanks! Hope we see and hear more of his great guitar licks.
And the great Chris Spedding on guitar !!
Is Neil Hubbard also there next to Chris?
The young talent gets the solo this time and does a great job, but let’s not forget Chris Spedding was responsible for the awesome guitar tones on ‘In your mind’ and albums of that period. Just chilling’ along here
That was @ucking brilliant. That lad on guitar is awesome ! Good lad
