You are listening to one of, if not thee, smoothest & classiest act/s on the planet. Period. Roxy Music is like a great bottle of wine, they/it just get even better with age. What a group! And what a lead vocalist in Bryan Ferry. Just doesn't get any better than this. 1982 was when they were absolutely peaking and for any of you out there who were may be fortunate enough to see them play live, WoW were you blessed!
Roxy Music is timeless as Brian is, got the vinyl of this album, absolutely unbeatable. I had the chance to see Roxy Music in Madrid 18 years ago, damn amazing
I could not tell you the number of time I've listened to this concert on You Tube. Neil Hubbard at his best as usual and NO ONE will ever reach the height of Bryan Ferry in vocals. I love Bryan Ferry with or without Roxy Music!!
Likewise. Short but perfect appropriate comment, goosepimples whenever I listen to his numerous albums, watch him even now still active and classy. His son is promising, greetings from France
You're not alone. Explain it? Wow! He's one hell of a crooner. The ultimate high-end romantic always backed by the finest musicians. He can take any famous song & cover it as well, if not better, than the original. And his range is extraordinary. This live performance of the song just proves how incredible he & Roxy were. The man can do anything (or could). The album Avalon is so excellent that I just bask in it. Every song a masterpiece. Even the instrumentals are otherworldly. So, in short, I've explained nothing! ♥
That's not Andy, you aren't a fan of Roxy Music, because you know that's a French dude, who caught Bryan's ear. Can't you see man, this man has sex for breakfast and dinner, gee open your eyes!
I introduced a 100 people over the years to Roxy Music with this song. Bryan always pulls A list musicians together for his tours. Roxy music perfected Avante Gard music, and Bryan plays the chic, mysterious Euro man so well.
I wish I could love this instead of just liking it. Hats off to Alan Spenner, a fantastic bass player. I watched an interview with Ferry where he said that no one had the feel and tone for bass like Spenner. I love him and this concert is so good. Breathtaking.
Bryan also stated that Alan Spenner would have been Roxy's permanent bassist had he lived. This is Neil Hubbard on the guitar outro. Poignant and beautiful version.
And I think it's interesting that Roxy has the bass so prominent in their song mixes. A lot of great bassists worked with them. I'll be listening to Roxy forever and glad I have all their recordings. Really glad.
Ça faisait longtemps que je ne me l'étais pas faite celle-là. Une réunion de killers sur scène... Bryan Ferry si humble et laissant les autres s'exprimer. Awesome.
Wow! I have never seen Roxy perform live, in their later incarceration, the Avalon lineup, I believe, very nice, downright rocking. Bryan Ferry has such an awesome voice.
A stitch in time-complete magic and excellence one of the best shows I have ever seen(not in person-I wish)I put this DVD on and just chill out and watch the musicians just play some magic and Ferry and the backup singers are just amazing-Spenner and Newmark kick ass on this jam-THE HIGH ROAD-ROXY MUSIC
How authentic art can be made from authentic talent. How far is the time when this was possible. How good sounds saxo and guitar...Marvelous like ever Bryan and company. Thanks for video, and salutes from Spain.
2020 who's here?!! Just... Pure Magic that never wilts ✨✨✨✨ Wonder if there's anyone in particular that inspired Bryan to write this heartbreaking treasure 🤔 Answers on a Postcard please...! Thankyou for posting 🙏 wish upon wish I had been there but I was 12! 🤭
Do I ever wonder More than words can say Heaven knows it’s hard enough to pray Let me tell you something There’s a change in me Even now you’re gone you’ll always be My only love Does it seem so funny For a fool to cry? Do you know the meaning of goodbye? There’s a river flowing By a willow tree When you need to know remember me My only love Let me tell you something More than words can say But they’re all I have, no other way There’s a river flowing By a willow tree When you find you’re there remember me My only love
❤Roxy Music ❤ since introduced to them in 1975 by .y late husband Rodney. They came to St.Louis USA only 2x & we had pleasure of seeing them at Mississippi Nights & The Ambassador Theatre. I had the pleasure of seeing them in Chicago at the United Center 50th Anniversary Concert. Best time was had by all. ❤❤❤❤
Roxy Music é um capítulo a parte no rock e na música popular dos anos 70/80 e desde sempre! Brian sempre teve o dom de escolher músicos virtuosos, dentre eles os baixistas! Alan Spenner ...fantástico! RIP!
What a bass player alan spenner was, died at 41yrs ,way too soon
Bryan Ferry is the personification of cool and class...ageless
No one ever made being hopelessly in love as cool as Bryan Ferry.
God what a great quote👍
Totaly agree...💖
Being in love, if true, is Hope.

AGREED very well said;
I saw them on their very first tour at Redcar Bowl :)
Fortunate to see them in April '75 at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, bought a souvenir lapel pin which I still have.
Roxy Music is timeless as Brian is, got the vinyl of this album, absolutely unbeatable. I had the chance to see Roxy Music in Madrid 18 years ago, damn amazing
Yes very blessed. I saw them in 1983 on the Avalon tour. It was amazing
One of my all time favorites
Mr. Alan Spenner (RiP) will always be remembered as one of the greatest "bass players" (for me the very best) that Roxy Music ever had!
Bryan Ferry said that had Alan Spenner lived he would have been the permanent Roxy bass player.
I could not tell you the number of time I've listened to this concert on You Tube. Neil Hubbard at his best as usual and NO ONE will ever reach the height of Bryan Ferry in vocals. I love Bryan Ferry with or without Roxy Music!!
Yeah I hunt out Hubbard to try to learn his style. To try and copy him as novice guitarist. I love his style
Best version of this song by some distance.
19 years Always a quiet young man and Roxy Music as a companion band. Today, at 60, I review my whole life.
You can see how much mr ferry loves making music. So much talent. Love a wide range of music also.thank you Bryan ferry.
One of the most beautiful love songs ever!
Love Bryan to DEATH. Can someone explain to me how an artist can hit every NOTE in my subconscious? Bryan just slays me.

Andy Newmark's drumming is superb.

Win mate, please chill, he may of just made a mistake, seen as Andy is the drummer that is usually on them (as far as I know)
@@winzchurchill8272 That IS Andy Newmark lol . What were saying about being a Roxy fan you donut !
He, s on fire on that gig,
Yea and on a hired kit, I always look at this for inspiration, fav drummer.
Some of the most sad and beautiful lyrics and music I've ever known. I love this.
The sax is unbelievable. It’s extraordinary
I miss so much this kind of music in industry
Roxy Music at their finest! Simply superb!
This song is superb, full of elegant music and so inspiring lyrics. Perfection.
This has such an incredible feel, the music is out of this world, Bryan Ferry is damn sensational ...
Saw them on that tour. They were great. As always. ;-) James Watts
That is exquisite ... John G Moore :)
for sure
Timeless. This came out in 1980. It will sound great years and decades from now. Ethereal and magnificent.
Bryan & Roxy Music are real music indeed. Bryan is infinite. I had the vinyl, absolutely amazing to play this in the luxury record player of my dad
Featuring a wonderful solo by Neil Hubbard on a guitar that onced belonged to Steve Marriot.
Mr. Brian Ferry is the class in person.
He and Bowie are in a class of their own. Two of the greatest.
AGREE!
I introduced a 100 people over the years to Roxy Music with this song. Bryan always pulls A list musicians together for his tours. Roxy music perfected Avante Gard music, and Bryan plays the chic, mysterious Euro man so well.
He's the James Bond of rock and roll!!
Totally amazing, you are right
Flesh+Blood, the Absolute masterclass of Roxy music 💓
I wish I could love this instead of just liking it. Hats off to Alan Spenner, a fantastic bass player. I watched an interview with Ferry where he said that no one had the feel and tone for bass like Spenner. I love him and this concert is so good. Breathtaking.

8 minutes of COMPLETE PERFECTION
And I think it's interesting that Roxy has the bass so prominent in their song mixes. A lot of great bassists worked with them. I'll be listening to Roxy forever and glad I have all their recordings. Really glad.
Good god they sound amazing.
one of the best songs ever
Bryan Ferry. My Only Love. ❤💋
Wonderful stuff. I grew up with this. love them today just as much as I did back when I was a boy
I was at this concert. An amazing night when Bryan finally came on stage over an hour late!
Cocaine
Lucky you man, absolute class act
an hour late? and yet he pulls in a great performance. he can be a day or a week late and pull off a great performance.
Fantastic, great musicians, great vocals, i Love this group.
Beautiful bass work by the late Alan Spenner
all musicians are superb! wow
I can’t begin to list the incredible shows I’ve seen over the years, but Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry are at the top.
One of the greatest jazz-infused rock numbers ever--exquisite.
I Roxy Music non erano solo il cantante, ma musicisti bravissimi ❤
Killing it live as always. So much talent and artistry.
I have this DVD it is amazing. The band is killer.
He's King of the Bass.
One of my most favourite songs!!!
Absolutely amazing
Such a wonderful, soulful song. 1982? where does the time go.
Ça faisait longtemps que je ne me l'étais pas faite celle-là. Une réunion de killers sur scène... Bryan Ferry si humble et laissant les autres s'exprimer. Awesome.
Un vrai chef d’oeuvre ! Sublime ! Delirant! Pure Magique! Bravo!
Haunting masterpiece
Thank you Mr. Spenner, love your work.
This song exudes "cool," just like Mr. Ferry! I wanna be like him when I grow up!
Don’t we all
Bryan looks soooo good here!
Now this is Roxy at it´s best!!! holy shit!!
I know - I really wish that I had sent them in their time!
Unbelievable!
Wow to everything - even the little linear wet patch of sweat adorning the back of Mr. Ferry's shirt. Too good.
Beautiful song love this performance
Andy Newmark, man! Up there with Porcaro, Gadson, Robinson, Jordan...but his own consistency and flavor. Highest level possible
Wow! I have never seen Roxy perform live, in their later incarceration, the Avalon lineup, I believe, very nice, downright rocking. Bryan Ferry has such an awesome voice.

That killer foundation of Andy Newmark & Alan Spenner.

The great Alan Spenner.

Alan Spenner's Bass is so fantastic, especially during Andy's saxophone solo. I'll never get tired of this recording.
un des mes premiers concert live !! je m'en souviens comme si c’était hier
que du bonheur !!!!!!!
Magnífica!!
Living Legend ❤️
Incredible Line up! Incredible Performance!
This song is well done. Very moving.
Amazing drumming
My hero Andy Newmark, with Alan Speener... Bass and drums
Flesh And Blood, one of my all-time favourite albums.
Simply outstanding.
If there's one song that made me want to take up bass, it's this. Alan Spenner is a legend.
Also Both Ends Burning
Same Old Scene changed my life as a miserable ten year old.
In his hands that Wal Bass is a thing of divine beauty...
Digestive 72 oh yes the Wal. Mick Karn was a master of the fretless Wal.
Bryan Ferry said that had Alan Spenner lived he would have become Roxy Music's permanent bassist.
The depth of the saxophone. What a band.
Jill Lauesen , My Wife and Soulmate ! You saved me from Hell . Rockman Loves you forever . Thanks for being my Only Love Forever !
