To be honest the new challenger Hellcat disturbs the peace by only standing still because of it's scary and brutal look.
The thing looks guilty without even doing anything xD and I Truly Love it.

You are 100% correct ! You need to respect this car as you would a .357 magnum handgun. Dodge provides a one day racing school when you buy a hellcat. This class was very helpful helping me hit lean how to handle this 4400 pound sublime green rocket. Probably should double up on life insurance.

Brian Makse Would you say it is more daily drivable than the Z28?
So long as you can balance the throttle I would assume the 8 speed auto hellcat is easier to live with. It also has a massive trunk and can cruise like a boss.
Straight up by the tires, the Hellcat sure is. Z/28 uses near slicks which really can't be used in rain, so that's not a fair comparison. Both have massive torque which makes them both eminently drivable. Personally, I would be a little concerned about DDing the Camaro because of all the bespoke bits. Driving a Hellcat, though, changes your perspective on driving from whatever it is to absolutely zero f***s.

Brian Makse The dealers were warned about selling over MSRP. They can still do it, of course, but it may affect their future allocation. Quote from Dodge - “If you want to market-adjust the car, that’s your right. But if your days-on-lot goes above what the other guys that are selling them at MSRP is, they will end up earning the allocation because their days-on-lot will be lower. They’re turning the inventory,” said brand head Tim Kuniskis. “Some dealers are going to have heartburn with that.”
My dad is a dodge service tech, he has drove three of these Hell cats! He says that he would rather drive a hell cat instead of a Viper any day!

any comment on the transmission? it looked like you were driving a manny, but i've read some reviews that seem to prefer the auto. how's that clutch?
Control weights are high, but I have to say you get use to them rather quickly. Engine is very responsive so rev matching heel toe downshifts are rather easy to accomplish.
if the hellcat was a woman shed be the finest. geeze,that thing is a beaut! ima have to get one one day. the dodge challenger is just to amazing. been wanting one for a couple of years and this just sells it lol

Brian - A highly subjective (and arguably bizarre) question: was the Corvette Z51 or this Hellcat more "fun" to drive? I'm sure that the Hellcat was very different but, of the two cars, is it the one that you would buy?
Great question! I'd buy the Z51 because I'd track it frequently. If I already had a track car, then hands down I'd need a Hellcat.

Scott Smith What kind of diesel engine? Seriously, the Hellcat isn't as loud as granny indicated. She just thought that the public road we were driving on somehow belonged only to her. It's loud, but it's no louder than any other big displacement V8, but, behind the wheel, all of the sounds come together - the expected big V8 madness PLUS the whine of the supercharger. It's a totally unique experience. Even the new Z06 isn't that loud.

It's definitely not the pearl. I'm currently driving a Scat Pack in the same colour. I miss the supercharger.

In all honesty, the Hellcat to me is almost perfect in every way; exterior, interior, the power etc. But I think the biggest deal-breaker is the fuel economy :/ I saw the stat show up with 25L/100km when he was driving it, which is phenomenally huge!!! Ofcourse, for such a powerful car you would expect such a fuel guzzler, but in this day and age with other auto manufacturers continually improving their fuel economy (V8 under 14L/100km), fuel for the challenger series will be really unaffordable :( Otherwise, amazing car!
Thanks for watching, Marko. It's possible to drive the Hellcat and get consumption into the teens, but my driving is the exception and a bit extreme. I'm not shy with the throttle and I live in the middle of a big city, so it's always stop and go. No one buying a Hellcat factors mileage into their decision, that's for sure.

HaHaHa, I'm looking into a Hellcat, if not, then a ScatPack...I can see the senior citizens in my neighborhood calling the cops because I turned the car on...I'm just loving the Sublime Green color, but I was told the cops also love that color and will pull you over and ticket you just for made up things like they do now...Dealership suggested dash cams in the back and front of the car w/ a good view of the speedometer and a good lawyer to fight in traffic court for you, donno if I wanna go thru all that, the cops always win even if evidence is on sdcard...
Forget the street, mate. Take it to the track and you never have to worry about police.
