Just got the bar. Put some 25 bumpers on it. Lay several bands under the plate. Easy to clip in and out. The added bumpers give you a good starting position. The pre stretch of the band is great. No slack. No weird deadlifts. Bicep curls, overhead all great with added weights. A little weight definitely makes a difference. Easier to micro load. Killer bar.

The add on barbell chain collars suck unless paired to a rack and pins. Even the short barbells are heavier. The Nexus Bar is it’s own thing. It’s expensive. Save or not. Nobody forcing anyone to buy it. X3 is expensive and very problematic. Harambe is very expensive but works awesome.

@@sprocketdogs4964 What are you saying? Chain collars are just like safety collars, only with a little ring underneath where you hang the carabiner with chains. Instead of chains, you can hang bands as easy, and attach loop of band under footplate. The only thing special about harambe is the price, and not in a good way.

I like these bars for deadlifts and squats, but for curls, I prefer to get my elbows out in front of my body and up a bit so I can get peak contraction at the top of the lift while still having resistance at full extension at the bottom of the lift. It mimicks cable curls, which I believe are superior to barbell curls. Great review, as I have had my eye on this bar.

Nice review. Clench makes some nice products and I have been buying their stuff almost since their beginning. That looks to be a very nice bar but not something that I will not be purchasing mostly because I don't have any Olympic size plates to use with it. All of the weight plates that I own, have the 1" centers and I don't plan on buying any plates with the larger holes because I just don't have the room to store them or want to spend the money to buy them.

@@mrqualityreviewer4752 The gorilla strength product (not that other cheap staff in amazon) is rated for 500 pounds each, 1,000 total, based on the info on the site. It could be bull, but its a lot, and this is a good company selling strongman type of staff, there is nothing light about those chains. Plus the karabiner I m using with it is a steel delta karabiner originally used for fishing, resisting thousands of pounds. I see your skepticism, but you have it backwards. Imagine you buy this bar, and after a couple year at best of using the Silver Rogue Monster Band with it, its "prototype" Karabiner of course breaks. How are you going to replace it? And the bar it self you are buying is a much cheaper version of any bar a half-lifter has in their home. Thats why its so "surprisingly" light.

Brandon is the MAN for sure. For my IsoMax recommendation, I'd say as with everything, if you're not using it, then get rid of it. Although, I can say a common theme I've heard from people (and myself) is the IsoMax goes through periods of use and disuse for many. Many things are just personal preference and there are many paths up the mountain.

Really good question! Really depends on if you 're looking to incorporate weights or not. The K bar is a bit more portable, but at the same you have to throw on all the assessors to make it work. Overall it comes down again with Harambe do you like the sling or not. I personally prefer a basic hook, so I I'd say this.

Hi Mike, thanks as usual for getting out something really valuable and helpful despite the very short time available. I strongly agree on one of your key points that you have touched based on multiple times over the review. This single item per se has not really to been seen in any other as if scenarios than the astonishing and unique completion, tech and biomechanics achievements of the FULL CLENCH SYSTEM.
    - the footplate is the only one having 5 channels under + 2 on the surface and the choice of being bulky is in order to allow to go heavy and at same time not excluding averaging lifters
    - sets of bands coming in pairs
    - bands being really “elastic” in order to facilitate the starting positioning and giving you the possibility to go as heavy as possible in the movement
    - the only system with mini bands which are so painful that you love them
    - the handles (again) pure versatility for a variety of needs among which there could be “no need”
    - in that case their fat greens are amazing
    - ankle straps and carabiners by far the best
    - the 6 wall hooks package which is a still
    - the constant flow of workouts made available with credibility and passion and humility
    - this bar is the essence and a perfect complement to this philosophy of maximising versatility without compromising with absolute excellence
This said probably each and every other system will have something very special.
This bar to me is the essence of The CLENCH way!!!
thanks and apologies for the huge length. Emanuele from ancona.

Use loop straps in between to reduce band tension and get as much length as you want, for all ranges. You will be blown away and never go back, if combing weights with bands is your thing.
