I just bought the trx 4 sports truck body with roof rack and working hijack lift. I painted fire engine red with fire department decals. I also ordered working head lights and tail light soon I’ll be adding red emergency red light bar
That sounds great never seen a fire engine red one 👍they are such great crawlers as they are lighter that alot of other too 👍 😀 👍

Fantastic job. I realise this is an older post, but who supplied the body and interior? I want to find a clear body and interior to keep weight down/low, as the Traxxas body is very heavy. Many thanks.
most of the parts I buy are from Ebay both of those were also, the clear body was a random seller in the uk from memory and the interior from China lots of sellers list them for trx4 thanks

Beautiful project! This is going to help me out a lot, on my future (I am saving to get it ;) Defender, athough I won't start from this 'far away' ;) but I still want to paint some items and make it a bit more personalized. One question about the painting: do you spray the paint in a small container and then use your brushes? I don't get how you mix spray paint with an actual brush. Total noob here, thanks! Subbed+bells :)
Thanks, I spray the body's with Tamiya paint from a can and only some of the body accessories I paint with a brush using Tamiya paints if they have the colour I want or sometimes I spray them also. If I am matching the colour from the body spray I spray a bit in a container then use a brush if its a small item that needs painting that will be hard to spray. Just dont paint the main body with a brush! Great hobby hope you enjoy it thanks for watching several other build videos on the channel to help you out too.

I have a question? I see you use the PS flat clear on the inside of the body first. Then what grey color are you using before you apply the white? I know it isn't a polycarbonate paint. Does it hold up? I can tell it's Tamiya paint but what is kind?

Thanks very much for watching and checking it out I used Tamiya AS-7 netural grey aircraft paint (missed off that bit at the start but showed it later in the video when doing the interior if you need to see the can) not ideal for Ps body's as you say so the flat clear helps it adhere to the body then I backed in white then black so with the layers of paint doesn't chip or break when it crashes well not so far!! ha ha but nothing is perfect, (and it was the shade of grey I liked not available in Ps ) and I did it for the jeep build on my channel also if you check that out SCX10 III Jeep wrangler to see it painted similar way. I have used that loads outside but I am not a basher I take care of them as much as I can 👍👍👍 good luck with your Defender too they are great love them 😀😀

Sure thing thanks for watching too, its Ebay and think there are a few sellers with the same item. I used seller - coocogarder from china it doesn't show a part number just type in simulation interior parts for trx4 Defender several sellers to choose from cheers👍👍👍👍

Where i can buy the body defender
Most good Rc hobby shops stock spare parts for the defender bodys / interior etc and Ebay you can get clear ones to paint yourself and already painted versions lots of choice👍👍
