Hey how about a 50% rebate for sending in a picture of the kit installed, it was simple and straight forward but dang it took a while. And why the heck does the link module not control the kit. I mean honestly why run a cord to the reciever at all. there is not reverse lights and the brake lights dont get brighter when you slow down so why bother? Please correct me if im wrong. Its 90 bucks for 2 strings of lights and a light bar. They look great but should only cost about 40 tops.
I recommend to everyone looking for a trx4 light kit to purchase this, I switched from the my trick rc dg1 and this traxxas kit is so much easier to install, no trimming, sanding, or painting
There‘s absolutely nothing easy here. The video and the included paper manual are different but you can‘t do this with the one-sheet-instruction only so you check that video and realise after finishing that even the recommended sides for the wiring are vice-versa.
I installed the Traxxas kit 8095 which I believe is slightly different than the one installed on this video…I still went ahead and followed the instructions in this video but when connecting everything at the end, it worked with the exception of the rock lights…not sure why…too bad you guys don’t have specific video of the 8095 kit install.

I connect the harness with 2 wires to the power supply and the led light works , but I dont know where to connect the other harness with just 1 wire.
No where, here or on the website does it say if this kit give brake and reverse lights? The bloke at Traxxas support said he couldn't answer that question... DOES ANYONE KNOW?????
The LED lighting module that the wiring plugs into is not water proof. What is the point if once it hits water it is going to short out and now i'm out $100?

How can an official Traxxas video show putting the rock lights in backwards .... the cables should exit the lights towards the outside of the fender so you can tie them to the strap points
No it doesn’t have any brake lights or turn signals all the lights look great when they work but I must’ve got a few faulty connectors. Anytime I move the cable the rock lights or light bar goes out.
I wonder how much time we’ll have to wait for the release of the light kit for the Ford Bronco. I already installed the power module and rock lights, just waiting for the headlights/taillights/side marker lights.

So I have the light kit installed and wanted to use my trx4 during the day so I unplugged it, let my buddy use it and he ripped the connector from the distribution block to plug in. I don’t know what I should do considering I spent $70 on them and used the lights for maybe 10 minutes. Any helpful feedback would be appreciated thanks in advance!
Just got the orange one for christmas and the lights, the hex head screw for the front light stripped.... now i cant remove the plastic fake head lights with out drilling the screw out? Not great build to fit the lights hmmm
Yea, I bought the light bar to mount on my sport and nowhere did it say I needed the module so now have a usless light bar. It's stupid and obviously just a ploy to make the consumer spend more $ . One light system SHOULD be able to plug straight into the stock esc! To not come with lights on the rtr is one thing but forcing us to buy even more parts really put me off. The trx4 sport was my first traxxas purchase and this practice from them has really turned me off of the company, I think I will explore the many other trail truck RCs in the future.

THIS is just about why i'm hating this hobby so much! I have two TRX-4 High Trail Editions and anytime you see a cool looking mod, there's almost zero explaination with it! So once you have the lighting installed, is the body permanently attached to the chassis? Is there a connector? Where is the on and off switch? NONE of these things are shown!!!! Bullsh*t video once again😡

My light kit works well. Of course one wire comes down and plugs into the transmitter box with the rest of them exposed, is this what you call water proof technology? If I knew that the signals didn't work and no backing lights. I would have taken my chance with a different kit. $100 bucks for this kit. Seriously, Traxxas! How freaking greedy can you get? I would have bought after market with this no functionality light kit.

Agree! For the price you pay, I believe this should have been standard equipment like the Cross RC Demon FR4 RTR. (Which sells at a lower price)

Yeah I'm thinking of using my Tamiya lighting kits in my TRX4, it has turn signals and brake lights all actuated with the receiver.

Did exactly as explained and my LED module started smoking after I turned the vehicle off. Lights were not plugged into the module yet.

I would take the plug out and tape a small bag around the plug so that it doest get wet

This is a Traxxas fail for that, So my Traxxas TRX4 defender has remote activated diff locks, cruise control , but no way to turn lights on and off.

AMT99100 u need a bigger battery mabye.
Rc Basher found out the problem thankfully. It was just the prongs not making contact to connector so I put grease on them and it works perfect now.👌🏻

My TRX4 has a different ESC and does not have the red wire coming out of it to connect the black wire from the module. So now what?
