There's so many vocal teachers on UA-cam (and I've watched so many, repeatedly, doing their warmups, etc)... I honestly don't think anyone is more helpful than Mark Baxter. This is coming from a guy with two vocal cord surgeries (2008 and 2013). I'm a tenor (maybe baritone, depending on the day, haha), part-time music teacher (guitar, drums, bass, keyboards/piano, and music production). I've been trying to strengthen the good singing voice I had prior to 2008, and Mark's videos have undoubtedly been the most helpful. Thanks again, Mark!
It's very hopeless to ask but as ur a vocal coach, will you teach me to expertise my singing. Idk how to ask in other way. It's just a request . I love singing, you can check my channel to hear my singing. I wna improve very badly, I search for western vocal coaches, I don't get them in my country.
I keep forgetting to leave a comment about this video, Mark. I do it almost every day in the shower and never have access to my UA-cam. So, finally, a big big thank you for this. It is really great. I am so grateful to you for all your posts, wisdom, techniques and dedication to so many of us out there in the world. Thank you. Thank you.
Thank you! I've done this excellent vocal warmup before the concert, and now I know why is the warm up so important. I finally know how to maintain the health of my vocal cords after a show. And this channel is damn cool :D !Thank you Sir!
Amazing ! :) Also the advice of ' It's okay if these high notes sound bad at first. It's NOT okay if they feel bad. ' is brilliant !!! :D Thanks Mark ! You rock ! :D
I am just totally thankful for Mark. I have another vocal coach that is very helpful, but there just something about Mark that is also very helpful and fun.
I've saw Mark in the mid 1990's for a vocal hemorrhage and recovered fully, now I'm studying with him again to recover from overuse issues. He is the best ! Amazing vocal coach and life coach ...
this one is great! thank you, Mark, for sharing various tips and exercises for all the time🙏 - your lesson videos are one of the most of the most helpful online vocal lessons. 👍✨😃
THANK you for posting these videos... you have saved me 3 different occasions when my voice was hoarse before a show. You are THE master. I am learning how important it is to warm up... your videos are a generous gift. I am filled with gratitude.
EXCELLENT! My second warm up. Thank you so so much again Mark. I have learned so much in my short time with you. See what you mean about the end bit! You kept your temper though!
Love your Videos Mark Baxter! Just caught myself joining in with the intro too.... 'If you find yourself pressed for time...' I guess I must have watched it a few times :-D
Thanks for the help! I love all of the videos that you post on UA-cam to help people to learn and sing better. The main reason for my question was, I was singing karaoke at a bar and the DJ was setting it up the best way for him and not for the singer. When I use all of my recording equipment and as I sing with my guitar, it sounds amazing. I guess I was just mad because I have never sounded that good singing karaoke. I'm a singer, songwriter in Nashville working on a publishing deal, so I can't be to bad. hahahaha. Thanks a million, I will always watch your videos!!!!
I found of all your warm-ups this is the most effective for me - I think because it starts high and comes down, it really helps establish the right feeling for the mid range, because I have a tendency to clench, coming up. Thanks again ! Looking forward to booking my lesson very soon!
Mark, you are fantastic. You and I spend mornings together! Love your sense of humor, especially at the end of this vid. I have those days with my students, too!
+joanncarter2000 I've been meaning to talk to you about our morning routine. I really think we need two sinks. I can never get in there to finish shaving!
A soprano's dream warm-up! 😍 I'm doing your 100 day singing challenge, Mark! I'm classically-trained, but I find your approach so fun and unique! I've seen a few comments questioning the versatility of your techniques, but I feel they apply to singers across the board! I'm really enjoying watching your videos and learning so many new things from you! Thanks!
Mark Baxter is good for both professional vocalists and amateurs, he does not go in to advanced lip rolls or yaya excercises from the start like some do. He starts with easy stuff and slowly teaches you how to warm up and develop your voice. My latest vocal coach Birgit recomended his stuff for my homework and he shows me methods that works brilliantly even in times when I havent done the work I should to maintain my vocal strenght. Just like Birgit did :)
Back again. I'm remembering to visit your page before singing and voice cracking so much. This is very helpful! Thank you. (Other friends with MS have either stopped or cut back their singing but I have faith that I won't be one who gives up things I love - and you're a great help with this.)

No one cares about your surgeries

A downloadable MP3 of this scale at a slow, medium, and fast tempo would be extremely useful.
These videos are free. If you expect him to go through extra effort, I hope you intend to pay.
