Hey Ron, so glad to see this story! I kept my word, didn’t tell a soul that this story was coming, didn’t even tell my husband! I first found out about the story of little Nannie Womack when I worked over in Jamestown, Ky several years ago and the story has always intrigued me. Such a sad tale, for both Nannie and Elmer. I love your storytelling, and I love these lonely (kind of private) graveyards. They seem a lot eerier to me than large graveyards. Thank you from Berlin Germany! 🤩👍🤗
What a sad story all around. It’s hard for us to imagine today that not so long ago, this type of thing happened a lot. I hope this little girl is resting in peace. I’ve been meaning to mention a rather interesting story that people might recognize by the name of the murder victim, Mamie Thurman. Most usually learn about the ghost story, but there is ongoing uncertainty as to where she is actually buried. When she was murdered in Logan, West Virginia in 1932, her death certificate shows she was buried at Logan Memorial Park in McConnell, West Virginia. Her husband testified also that she was buried there. When Mamie’s younger half brother went to Logan in the 1980’s to try to find her grave and put a headstone on it (that had never been done), he couldn’t confirm its location at the time. But a local journalist was intrigued by the whole thing and began to research Mamie Thurman. He even spoke with a man whose father had been the caretaker at Logan Memorial Park and had helped him open and close Mamie Thurman’s grave. The journalist’s name is Dwight Williamson. The cemetery itself was established in the late 1920’s, I understand. It sounds like this was to have been like the memorial parks being established at that time after Hubert Eaton developed the memorial park we know today with Forest Lawn in Glendale, CA. BUT. Here’s where it might get a bit complicated. This cemetery is abandoned and not in great shape. Many people originally buried there were later moved by family because of the conditions there. Even people entombed in private mausoleums there ended up being moved later on. It’s really sad, and yes, creepy. So if you do decide you’d like to check this one out, it’s probably not going to be a simple trip. It’s definitely a good idea to research this first, especially if you do decide to go there. The condition of the cemetery definitely means safety precautions should be taken. If it’s not possible to go there, however, this same area, Logan County, West Virginia, is also where the Hatfields lived at the time of the Hatfield and McCoy feud. Some of Devil Anse Hatfield’s descendants were also involved with the Mamie Thurman murder case (but not for the wrong reasons). I don’t know if either of these would be something you’d be interested in doing, but I thought I’d put these suggestions out there in case you would be at some point. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re great at this!
Here i am one more time to watch another interesting story from the past with the whole Gang! Thank you Mr Ron for your time and dedication on doing your videos ! Greetings to everyone from Charlotte NC !

This is part of my family's history I did not know about until coming across this video. Thank you for doing so. Morgan was brother to my great-grandfather Harrison Womack and other brother Milton (my middle name). They, and later my grandfather Sylvester Womack were all born in columbia, Kentucky. This story is heart wrenching and so sad. But it is good to know more information about our family history, even if tragic.
Every time you add the music Ron it’s truly taking me back to the times and I feel like I am there living through it. It really adds so much! Thank you, Ron. You have such a compassionate, dignified, and down to earth manner. A classic storyteller and a genuine soul. I will watch this one many times.

So many unanswered questions... May she be resting in peace... Thanks Ron! Safe travels!
I loved this video. I think it is your best video yet. You are a gifted story teller. You stirred emotion in me while telling this story
What a story. Rest In Peace Nannie.
Thank you for the stories and history, bring the people’s life to narration for us.
Ron I watched a paranormal show about this. This was so sad! Thank you for bringing this story to light! R.I.P.Nannie!! Patricia Gambino Harrington
Such a sad story for little Nannie. Thank you for sharing.
Very sad story, but beautifully told. Thank-you Ron. Pam Miller
The ox bow incident. Great vid Ron and again love the bluegrass music.
An innocent little girl died a brutal horrific death. The fact that Elmer might not be the killer makes me ill. RIP ❤️🙏
I so much agree, It sounds like that they went after the first person they thought of without looking forward into who did it
Do some research, he admitted it. And said he wished he could have gotten "The bad girl" instead.
Such a great storyteller Ron. Thank you for taking us back in time. RIP Nannie 🙏🏼
This is your most moving video! Well done!
Really love watching your videos, thank you
Nicely done. Thanks
Bless beautiful Nannie! Loved the nature u showed can’t imagine how pretty it was there when she passed. Thx Ron for telling her story.
Ron, I love your story telling. You are the best! I was wondering if you ever see faces on the headstones because I do, and even the ones in your stories. Thank you for what you do.
Interesting sad story r.i.p nannie thank you for sharing this with us Ron stay safe and safe travels it was lovely of you to a flower 🌹 on nannie's grave
You do such a good job and so respectful
God bless you again 🙏 for the beautiful yellow flower on her grave. You are a wonderful blessed man. Thank you! 💖
Excellent work!!
Such a sad story & the ending no better. Rest In Peace to both the victims & their families ♥️
God please save our children. Such innocence and beauty in every child. They are our gifts. We must care for them above all else. My eyes felt heavy as my heart during this one.
Thanks for video 😀
So sad, I'm glad she's at peace now. So hard for the parents to know their daughter died that way. Thanks Ron for sharing her story.
I love the amount of research and info you do on the stones and the people beneath them.
I’m just about to start and can’t wait. 💜👍
Good lord what a tragic story. The poor girl & poor Elmer, if he was innocent…those horrible lynch mobs….disgust me.
Thank you, Ron. You have such a compassionate, dignified, and down to earth manner. A classic storyteller and a genuine soul. I will watch this one many times.
Great video, Ron! Thanks for telling us this story.
What a sad story for Nannie ,& family. I too think perhaps the mob was too quick to act. Thanks Ron.
I think on some occasions the person that would commit these crimes most likely was apart of the so called justice mob....hiding in plain sight the crowd would be so blood thirsty they would never know it
Thanks for sharing this Ron!!!!!!.
You have such a wonderful talent of telling stories! A great ability not too many possess. Sad story.
Such a sad story. I'm so glad I found your channel. You are a fantastic story teller and you really bring these people and their stories back to life. You also do so respectfully.
Sad tragic story but love how respectful and loving you are Ron ❤❤❤❤❤😢😢
