You should study up and do a story of the area of Northwest Florida, below the Alabama border. Now some call it the "Redneck Riviera" but this VERY wild area was where J.W. Hardin went when running from the Rangers in Texas. The few residents of this area fought against both the Confedefacy AND the Union during the War Between the States. It was pretty wild even up until the 1950s and 60s when my family came here. There were few people here then. It has grown SO FAST our history is being buried and lost because of people who want to turn this place into Miami! Lower Alabama (L.A.) residents and the old timers from here had our own thing going back then. Rube Burrows story brought on THIS comment. Maybe, if you run out of Wild West stories, you could investigate OUR area. I think you'll find it QUITE AN INTERESTING JOURNEY! Thanks for your great podcasts.❤

You should do a video on the Harpe brothers. I know thats a little bit before the old west, but they were America's first serial killers. You always do well with your research and put it together perfectly. Id love to hear your take on it, sir.
On Rube Burrow's section...the 38-40 was based off the 44-40. Both are pretty "hot" pistol cartridges when loaded to original black powder specs. 38-40 used a 180 grain cast lead bullet, moving 1000fps out of a pistol, 1300 or more out of a carbine/rifle. This is about on par with 180 grain cast lead bullets from a .357. 44-40 used a 200 grain bullet at the same speeds or a hair faster, putting it between 44 Special and .44 Mag. For reference, .45 Colt used a cast 250 or 255 grain bullet between 910 fps and 1000 fps, depending on the source.

I could easily find you enough info for a whole video just about him. 1:19:00 Maxwell is a great grandma's name on my mom's side. I'm gonna have to do some research now. And his grandpa's house was on the Bozeman trail in SD, as a stop on the underground railroad. Coffee drinkers can only really handle one tea. Earl grey with the same mix of condiments that you'd use in your cup of Joe. It's the only tea that is strong enough to replace coffee in a pinch. Strong and English. Some say dejeerling which if black sure, but two cream and one sugar tastes better in Earl grey and it can also be had black with no real strength problems.
