I’m a new subscriber and I’ve binged your videos today. Wow. All I can say is that you’re my inspiration and I love your channel cos you mention details about cost. This is what 99% of build channels intentionally don’t mention and I’m grateful that you mention it. I am currently working as a travel critical care nurse and I plan to leave the field within the next 5 years. I don’t have a wife or kids yet but you’ll be hearing from me the day I decide to build my own house and shop cos I’ll need to consult someone on a lot of things. Again thanks for building a great channel and being transparent.

Garrett, dependent on your needs, you might want to invest in an ozone machine. Kills everything in there, along with mold and mildew. Gets rid of the odors completely. I've had lots of places that needed commercial guys to come in and clean and that's what they used. When they were done the place would be immaculate.

Great video! After they take the bait and die off, what’s the best process for disposal of the corpses. . . ? I’m curious

What sprays and baits do you use for roaches? I live in florida and it’s freaking me out. Looking for anything to get rid of them.

How did you sanitize the kitchen? I'm facing a massive roach infestation as well and need to re-rent but I have GOT to sanitize the kitchen. Any idea?

Nice cleaning job, Garrett. It's hard to imagine how some people can live. And checking references never helps, as they only give you the ones that will give good reports. Turnover is so disruptive and costly, and I wish there was better way to screen prospective tenants.

@@rageagainstthemachine7434 Follow the instructions in the video. Re-treat it once a week for a month. They will be eliminated.

The easiest way to screen is to pay a friendly unannounced home visit. If they are filthy you will definitely know.

I wish I had a landlord like you I just rented an apartment for one year on a lease the landlord told me that it was good to go it was professionally cleaned and I took his word for it signed the lease and went up there and found myself living in a roach motel he lied he's a cheat he's a thief and I think you did a really good job and I wish you were my landlord I'm a very clean person and now I'm still sleeping in my car because I don't like living there it's so nasty.

Not sure where you live but in most States in the United States, that constitutes a breech of contract. My advice to you is to research your local real property law regarding landlord/tenant responsibility and/or warranty of habitability.

@@dickthedorkwing6082 I tried. I live in California. If I break the lease he will get to keep my security deposit. I don't trust him too not slander my name. In short, I should have looked at the apartment first rather than take his word.they say. I won't do that again! Lesson learned...

despite watchin your "get rid of roaches" vid back when you 1st posted it, i'd forgotten all the DON'Ts. in a disgusted panic'd rage i made literally every mistake within minutes of re-taking possession, lol. went back to watch it the other day, shaking my head at myself the whole time. ordered the bait & applied it, & now we wait...
they were great tenants otherwise. i just don't understand how anyone can live that way... must have felt too ashamed to let me know so i could help get rid of the roaches way earlier. but the good news is; last tenant for me, no longer going to be a landlord (long planned, not due to these roaches, just goin another route). :)

I hear that. With the market still crazy hot, it's a good time to convert the appreciation to cash.
