    This is a great review, and answers the exact question I was asking myself. You just saved me a lot of money buying the OEM volvo part after seeing older forum posts saying its the only way to go. Things change. Volvo has changed.

    Hi Jim, thanks for the great review, I came across this while researching why my sons 89 240 wagon which is not correcting itself ( steering)after taking a corner, one of the forums that I am a member suggested worn strut top mounts bearings may be part of the problem I had a failed steering rack replaced and wheel alignment after and the problem persists.Many thanks

    Just ordered and got the KYB and they are just like the Volvo or Mevotech. Same color and numbered studs with smq 6300 bearing. Made in China on box, 43 dollars.

    I can"t decide which to use. I have the oem / mevotech now and my mechanic said the rubber is too hard .also, whats the deal with that? Furthermore , .do you think hydraulic struts are best compared to gas struts ?.

    What about ipd ? They got one suppose to be original ?

      I reviewed OEM, or so they claim. Same as Mevotech.

    No to the Myele. I bought 2, replaced the driver side 2x with them, and they clunk as if they're defective
