Regarding the optical viewfinder, the advantage of mirrorless for me includes the WYSIWYG finder of the EVF. I no longer have to bracket like with film or even a DSLR because I can spin my exposure compensation dial until the image in the finder looks right for the light. I have both an X-Pro and X100 class bodies, but never use the optical finders because the EVF assures that my exposure is right before hitting the shutter release. I came up on Leica M cameras in the film era but mirrorless EVFs have spoiled me and optical finders are not a feature that I need today.
I recently sold all my Fuji gear and went fully into full frame Sony, however the X-T50 does look very appealing I must say! - Other than video not being quite there, especially with focus, for photos, you can totally get the full frame look on Fuji. As long as you match your lenses and settings. The f/1.4 primes on Fuji roughly match f/2.1 on full frame which is not that far off from the full frame f/1.8 primes. You also have some f/0.95 options but they are a bit soft, f/1.4 seems to be the sweet spot. The f/2.8 though I did find a bit lacking, especially in poor light as that's roughly the light gathering of an f/4.2 on FF.
You lost me at "Yes they are very very similar" Sorry I don't see any similarities between these two cameras, and I am not even talking about the viewfinder, style, ergonomics, sensor rendering, basically these two cameras are as similar as an apple and a chicken sandwich, both are food, that's where the similarities end. Please don't go down the click bait thing, you have a great channel, keep it clean.
Great fun, keeping the Leica boys on their toes. Yes a Leica is better but for 99% of photographers it doesn’t improve their pictures much or at all. If the 2nd hand resale value of Leicas ever dropped their market would crash.
Leica este in lumea camerelor ce e Vuiton in lumea posetelor de dama. Adica de "show off" .
They gotta fix the integration between Fuji RAW files and photo editors before contending with other raw files imo. The editing experience at least for me is not comparable to Leica, Ricoh and Hasselblad unless you are shooting only jpegs with Fuji
I know lots of users who buy Fujifilm for the film experience and look. Also XT50 has a FILM DIAL. So if they want to make a TRIAL, a cheap film rangefinder camera could be a choice - for sure I tried some of them just to see and experience a rangefinder camera ( I shot ZORKI and really love it).
@@Tudor_Mateescu sure thing! But that would probably be a minority of users, right? The X-Txx line appeals to a lot of users who primarily want them for the convenience of film simulations for social media. Camera connoisseurs like you (and me) enjoy trying out cameras like that Zorki for the experience only already 😄 but neither of us would probably buy an X-T50 as our main camera since we aren't the target customer for this line.
@@kilianhrkm I think the weak part of your point is that digital leica m-s are almost as big os a hassle as a rangefinder film camera. They have a manual rangefinder focusing system. In this respect m11 is an experience closer to a zorki than to an x-t50
The moment they went made in communist china they lost every person who was seriously considering Fuji vs Leica that had the cash. Made in Japan means something when people think premium.
@@WhoIsSerafinI think that in general their build quality has fallen regardless where they are made. Pick up an X-Pro2 and then an X-Pro3 both made in Japan, i can tell you the XPro2 I believe feels premium next to the X-Pro3.
Then try the X-H2. It's made in Japan and has a quality feel. Add to that the Chinese-made Viltrox 27mm PRO f1.2 lens for a really high level, professional pairing. China makes some incredibly high quality products. Don't be prejudiced, be educated.
Japan has a premium name, sure, but under the right conditions China makes really premium quality. My China-made X-T5 has no issues unlike my Japan made X-T2. Actually if you search for x-t2 quality issues you’ll see a lot of people complaining, especially with the bottom thread breaking apart. Mine loses all settings if left without a charged battery for a couple of days, it did that since year 2, and fujifilm wanted me to pay for them to fix that defect.
You can buy a fast car and tune it at your taste, but he will never be a sports car… Fujifilm has a long way to go if it want’s to be like Leica… And promote an artificial scarcity in the market isn’t the best way to go…
@@americosequeira8670 it's the most annoying way that's for sure... Because even though the second hand price of their older cameras goes up, their quality doesn't magically increase.
Its allways about the right lens. Nothing new to that. Ive taken tons of great photos on my old slt a77 sony dslr. Now im on the sony r mount full frame wagon. Same goes here. Dead crucial to get some good glass in front. Im not really sure i get all the hype about those fuji cameras.

Identical I should have said 😂
Thank You for sharing. You are damn right. I shoot with XT-5 and Voighlander 23mm F 1,2, and this is gorgeous.
Surely the XT-50 is a closer threat to the Q3 than a rangefinder? Anyway, I kept my Q2, sold my M11 and bought a XT-50!

Excellent video 👍 I have the Fuji gfx50r and it destroys all full frame and Leica cameras for image quality
Hardly

Agree 100% the x-pro4 is the threat not xt-50.
Exactly how are they very similar?
Identical even 😅
@@Tudor_Mateescu😂 I love the plastic feel of my M-P 240!
I’m a Fujifilm shooter.. but meh..
The easiest way to get a somewhat leica experience for cheap is to get any proper film rangefinder camera
I don't think most people who buy an X-T50 are interested in the hassle of shooting film.

Really? You compare a 10 year old camera with one released 2 month ago? How about you compare to the M11, Q3 or the SL3?
I beg to differ......
