Thanks for the help I just started working a new job and the AC went out on our work truck a 2011 Ford van e with your help I made some brownie points and press the boss with that thank you
Thanks man for sharing the video I'm dealing with that AC problem myself so I'll just have some ideas how to diagnose all the fuses and release thank you so much I'm putting up the video where detail very well explained. I'm definitely going to SUB thank you. Memorial day weekend - stuck at home bec no AC.
The AC in my 2008 f150 works only while driving. at idle the temperature gauge drops to cold and AC blows warm air then it will go back to normal operating temperature and will start working again will the diode or fuse be causing this issue?
Checked all fuses none burnt out and replaced relay issue still continues I bypassed the compressor with a paper clip and it kicked on. I also had a scanner put on it and all that pops up is thermostat needs to be replaced
10/30/22 I have a 2005 f-150 4x4 lariat. My ac is doing exactly the same thing from my understanding. Also at night when driving my lights from only the ac control are flickering while ac is off. When I turn it on, it shuts off immediately. On off on off rapidly on its own until I have to turn off the ac. I changed out the ac compressor relay and fuses 11,14,and 32 which are a 10,10, and a 15. It did not fix the issue. I've just seen this video and it sounds similar to what my ac is doing. I did really understand how you fixed it. I'm also not familiar with electrical terms.
Where does one get access to the diagram sheet that you have? The user's manual or the chilton book does not have any of that information. I would really appreciate the source thank you again sir.
This was awesome. Wish I was this smart. Mine just stopped working. All brand new components. Fuses are good, relay is good, pressure switches are good. I can jumper the relay and AC works fine. Could this be my issue?
I changr a new AV, the.whole system from Orrily:s cause the ac mechanic requested but still couldn't get compressor working. I checked the fuses & relays and still there is no power to the compressor. The climate control seems to work OK. Should I purchase a new connector that plugs into the new compressor? What do you can be the problem? I'll come back to you tomorrow after I my v.a. appointment. Cath you tomorrow . God bless, Sir.
@@JLsAutoSolution mines doing same thing but not blowing fuse . I’ve bypassed both pressure switches . It takes it like 8-10 minutes of the ac running before it would start on/off/on/off. I also changed the orifuce tube thinking it was affecting the pressure switch but now I am thinking it’s the climate controller on the inside of cab that’s going bad .
Hi I have a 2004 f350 V10 its doing the same when. I'm driving sometimes I can see on the scanner the cycle switch and the a/c clutch turning off and on this true I changed the whole a/c system Evaporator Acumalator orfice tube compressor condenser and its still doing the same my last thing is the pcm but I'm tying to located the diode on the mine I was looking at the diagram and it says its inside the Junction box

Diode number? i need to replace mine. Clutch engages when its 105 deg the AC cooling cuts down to 1/2 keeps the white truck at 80 inside.
Good afternoon family and thank you very much for the valuable information and for your time. 👍🏼
Our pleasure!
Removing my diode fixed my problem. I don't get what's going on but my ac compressor clutch engages only with diode off.

I would check low speed fan operation first
sorry edit that. i would check you viscous coupling at the rad fan and also all the points mentioned in the video

I have the same issue. Did you ever figure it out
Sounds like your fan is bad.
Snow tires and AC repair 🤣 Guess I am not the only one. Good Vid Jeremy 👍
Thanks Ian.
Yah still haven't found a set of summers I want yet lol.. either street of off road.
@@JLsAutoSolution if you jump the AC relay will it start even if the diode is bad???
@@highlive2166 the diode is connected to ground, so if you jump the clutch the fuse will open

I’ve been so busy I haven’t had much time to check out any videos lately! Gonna watch this one tho! Thanks for sharing bro!
No worries we are all busy in life.
Just finished working on my AC for a 2006 F150. Got it to work but it seem to stop when it got hot. I am going to check the diode next.
Great video and well explained. Any idea what the part number is for that diode?

all data diy is a source, cvost around 30$ for your vehicle.
Can i just ohm the fuse to see if the fuse is blown out like a regular fuse? I dont have a meter that measures resistance
Its a diode, so best way to test it is with a diode testers(most multimeters have this function)

low voltage master 💪🏼
thank you
I have an issue with a 2012 f150 that ac only works at idle and between 60-68mph. If not these conditions ac blows ambient temps.
Do you know the power diodi?
Thanks
sorry, I don't understand you question.

F150 5.4 Ford Lariat AC system . new compressor plus from O'Reilly's.
What do you mean on/off? Was your compressor kicking in and out repeatedly? Thanks
yes it was, then it just stopped.

So, where did you find the fuse like - diode?
that is original to the vehicle located in the fuse block

they say it is inside the vehicle. under dash fuse box.
@@JLsAutoSolution Thanka sir
Where did you get the replacement diode from please?
amazon, they come in packs( order a 6amp diode)
Can not find them, can someone post the link

Pretty much Ford only last time I needed one
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it

Keep on making videos!👍
Thanks
Welcome
Where can I get that diode?
Amazon
Do you know the power? I’m not sure of the correct term. Or if they’re all the same.
I got mine from O'Reilly online and picked up the next morning at 8:00 AM. $8. Ask for Compressor Diode
No bueno! 👍
You talk too much ! Get to point
