Heya friends! If I remember correctly, the colours I used to mix the skin tones were: - Pale Peach by Holbein - J. Red Brown by Turner - Scarlet by Holbein - Burnt Sienna by Holbein - Ultramarine Blue by Holbein
Hey for one of your next videos would you mind doing a tribute piece to Chadwick Boseman. You don't have to but I would really appreciate being able to just listen to your voice while I'm grieving. Thanks, you did an amazing job on this piece as always❤
Just to add another perspective on art school: it can also be the opposite of helpful. I’m sure it depends on the school as well as the person, but art school was horrible for me and my ability to create art. I graduated with honors and my professors all thought I might do great things but their “guidance” did so much more damage than they knew. They pushed me into a concentration I didn’t love while actively discouraging me from painting and specifically portraits which are what I’ve always loved best. They said painting is dead, portraits aren’t real art, etc etc. I ended up depressed and with a 10 year art block. I’m doing better now but it was absolutely awful! So I guess my advice is, if you go to art school, don’t let any authority figures push you away from what you actually love. And if it just doesn’t seem to be helping you learn and improve, and isn’t working out... don’t stay!
It's amazing how these brush strokes transition through rough patches to smooth. 👏🏻👏🏻

I'm in love with this piece! Honestly watching you paint and listening to you talk are both amazing on their own, your voice is just really calming to listen to! And the painting process is beautiful! Love the artwork!
Omg the level of detail you put in this is breathtaking! 😱❤️ I’m a small art youtuber who have grown watching you and you never stopped inspiring me! 🙏 thanks to all this inspiration, my channel just passed 1k subs! 😱😱
On the topic of art school; as a fine art graduate, the biggest plus of studying for a creative field is the people you will meet (connecting with other artists) and a sense of self awareness. The constant critiques you have through art school really help you to get out of your head, and see your work for the outside. It thickens your skin and vastly improves your work, in an environment where everyone is experiencing the same thing. Thank you so much for another real time video. I always love watching your process. And your laugh is so cute ~~
I totally agree! Being in an environment day in and day out with a group of people who have similar goals and interests is hugely beneficial! AWW hahaha thanks so much
I i love watching you create artwork. Always delighted when i see a new post from you. I find it really soothing to watch and listening to you is always interesting. Thank you for sharing!
I never painted or attempted drawing etc in my life but i bought a bunch of painting supplies i hope i can start and get better over time i know your channel is catered towards people who are experienced but I definitely want to begin now!
Can you do a tutorial on how to paint skin/skintones, mixing skintone colors, blending them and layering them pleeeaassee!! Btw I love your art sooo much
I normally don't watch longer videos but I really enjoy watching ur videos and hearing u talk more and answer questions was really nice 🥰 great job Doll
I love your art work..watching you build the layers was very..educational. i did wonder what was going on with the very first layer as it was all patchy lol..but then realised you was doing layers on her..i thourly enjoyed watching this art piece come together. Thank you so much for shareing.. iv yet still to try the gouche..i donlike the solid colour of Acrylics but hate that it dries to fast..but water colour im totally not very good with i either do to much water or not enough grrr cant get that balance & then bugs me that its not solid colour ..🤯..ha ha i seriously do my own head in lol...what would be the best recommended gouache you would recommend for a beginner but not mega expensive...??... thank you again for shareing..hope all is well 🌻😁
While you make a valid point, I don't think the people who ask about the "best" art supplies are doing so with malice. I think its important to keep in mind that a lot of your followers might be new to the art world and need somewhere, *anywhere* to start from. Of course everyone's style/preference/budget is different. But they're asking YOU because they like you/your art and want to know your opinion. Asking an artist you look up to about a recommendation is a pretty great way to utilize the "social" aspect of social media. Maybe I'm being naive but I don't think anyone who truly supports is going to take offense if you suggest a tool that they don't like lol
You should totally do a tutorial on how your guache looks so creamy! I have hibi ones but for some reason they dried somewhat fast. It was my second time using guache the first one was with an expensive ones at my art school (cant remember the name) but I remember it was nice to control, its not always the material but your skill. I just found himi hard to control a little, my strokes were very rough even with multiple layers. Because of this, I dont have the energy to sit down and explore since I know I might not be able to pull it off and im also a perfictionist agh! Love your amazing work! ❤
You probably just have to keep experimenting with how much water you're mixing in the paints! But I will say that the Holbein acryla gouache (what I'm mostly using in this video) has such a beautiful quality to it so that might be part of it too. But keep at it, try to have fun with it!
I actually discovered you quite recently! I got some acrylic gouache and was looking for a tutorial to give me a rough idea of how to use it - I'd used watercolour and acrylics before, but 'gouache' was entirely new to me. Your video for your Sukeban girl came up in my searches and I just fell in love with your art style! (So I binged your videos and instantly jumped on Instagram to follow you too!)
Omg I’m watching this right now because I just bought the entire set of Holbein acryla gouache and you said that it’s what you’d want with no budget dream art supply 😱😱🤩 I was saving up for so long and it was out of stock everywhere up until recently so now I’m going back and binge watching your acrylic gouache videos 🥰🥰🥰😊
To buy all 109 colors of Holbein acryla from Jacksons art supplies ( minus shipping ) would be $674.96. this includes the 20 ml of black and white, luminous green blue yellow and red. if 109 followers of this channel or her IG banded together and spent $6.19 to buy one of each color and sent it to her, Tina could have her dream! maybe to avoid 109 individual packages being sent in post, we could all make one mass order. maybe use google docs to list who will claim each color so nobody buys double, and then add the funds to one place and tina can make the order!
Thank you so much for your videos. You inspire me so much. My channel is basically all inspired by your work 💕 thanks for inspiring me to start making videos.
Right as you were answering the question about not rotating a piece while painting, I got to the part of my painting where I started rotating it A LOT 😂
13:08 I actually started filming and uploading speedpaints to UA-cam to stop myself from hunching over the paper because it started hurting my back😂💔 Other than that I really love how this piece turned out espacially the contrast in the rendered face and flat hair 😍
i like to answer the questions my self as you read them out. when the question was "what music do you listen ti when you paint?" I thought Hamilton (I am a big fan) and then you said Hamilton!
This painting came out so lovely! The skin tones are so clean. I actually just bought a starter pack of holbein acryla gouache. I've only tried out a little bit of it but so far I think it's really interesting and i'm already considering to go back and get a few more colors, so I totally get wanting this if you could have any art supply for free lol. It's so chill listening to you answer all these questions. They're very creative and fun answers, but also some valid and helpful points in there as well. I agree with filming being awkward, i'm still not used to how to draw without my hand blocking half the drawing ahahaha it's awful...also, i'm looking forward to the zodiac series you plan on doing! I've always wanted to do a zodiac series but I've always put it off, so it'll be inspiring to see another person tackle it. and !!!! you have to watch demon slayer!!! Based on the other anime you've mentioned I feel like you'll really like it. I need to catch up to the MHA manga (I miss seeing miruko!!), but it's cool that you rewatched FMAB because I love that series, greed is honestly my favorite character lol. I'm running out of things to comment on because my brain can't handle typing this much, so I'll just say thank you for the video ^^ It was fun and I look forward to the next one!
Hahaha aww thank you so much for the thoughtful comment! I'm pretty excited and nervous about this Zodiac series since it's something that I've been wanting to do for a long time too! Ahh I need to find a good place to watch Demon Slayer - it looks so fun! Glad to know I'm not the only one who loves Greed haha! Also Mirko has also become a fave of mine, I hope she has more time in the story moving forward!
For the wood panels do you draw straight on the graphite paper or do you also transfer that ? I never thought of that I’m not familiar with it and This is a gorgeous 😍
