Thankies so much, Tina! I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed the surprised package C: The merchandise I currently have are of my older artworks; I haven't made any new prints/stickers/charms since the quarantine began. I'll be sending you another surprise with more updated pieces, when I get the chance :)
I've also used Rendr papers before with alcohol-based markers (before I switched to watercolors), and like you experienced, there's very minimal bleed-through. Your work is always so beautifully colored and boldly saturated, and I look forward to seeing your future videos

I really want this sketchbook now. I can't believe it only bleeds through a little. I dont do to much layering so it probably won't bleed through for me.😊
I love the drawings.😍 My favorite one is the girl with the pink hair. I love the pose on that one and the girl with the short black hair.💕 I love the bat wings on the girl with the pink hair. So cute!😍💕

    • @slither7760
      @slither7760 4 роки тому

Don't. This sketchbook doesn't bleed much if you only use one layer of alcohol markers, the paper is low quality and has a smell to it, the binding also does not allow you to lay it flat without you forcing it flat/with a clip. If you think about bringing in watercolor/paint, the page will hold BUT it will warp to the point where you can't use the back of the page at all. This sketchbook looks good if only you are using it for the "aesthetic", not worth the money or materials.
edit: fyi, the sketchbook link is a affiliate code, similar to a sponsor type of thing

I was surprised to see that it bleed through a little bit, I've bought two (recently) and they've never done that, I bought one before this video came out, so I hope they haven't changed the paper.

  • @himbosuplex

I tried Rendr paper because of you and its my ABSOLUTE FAV now for markers. My husband got me a Copic Ciao Set B for Xmas (best husband ever!!!!) but I had barely used them because I hate most marker papers - either they are semi translucent and thin like vellum, or they bleed like crazy. This paper is AMAZING and you can get marker to lay down soooooooo smooth.
Also I totally did a study of that same portrait of Rupi Kaur recently. It's a fantastic one.

I wanted to get better at doing more illustrations instead of just vague sketches all the time, so it'll be interesting to see how this goes lol. I tried to do a big drawing using copics but I felt like I couldn't blend the colors together past a certain point like I can on normal copy paper. It could just be me, but I feel like there's definitely a limit to layering. I might try the more flat style like you did in this video! @@yoyoestfatigue Yes! I can't seem to put down a single flat layer, though... I'm not sure if it's just that I overlap my markers too much, or if my markers are just juicy because they are new... I've looked up several different tutorials to try to learn to blend and at least put down a single flat layer and no technique has worked... I even tried again after leaving this comment 😢

I have this sketchbook and I'm thinking of using it as my next one. That's weird that it bled through a bit, i also have the pad version of this (9 x 12) and have used it with no bleed through/hint of bleed through to the other side 🤔

I always wondered how some artist git such great rendering with markers and was pleasantly surprised that it was mixed media. I've seen ppl even dilute alcohol markers with water to appear more like water colour. The limit is your imagination really

Just letting you know I bought this sketch book 4 years ago. And I recently was decluttering and I opened it and all my drawings had bled everywhere. It looked awful. So I suggest taking pics to preserve your drawings in this sketchbook.

Is there a bigger version of this sketchbook? Like, 16 ~ 20 inches? I’ve had fun working with markers recently in my big sketchbook, but they bleed through, so having a bigger size of this sketchbook would be really nice.
By the way, the timing of this is perfect because I was JUST deciding to work with markers and colored pencils today 🤣

Hello ImaWonder I actually was wondering if you could do a tutorial on how to color Albinos? I use a similar technique to yours and have been having issues trying to pick the right palate and color pencils for the skin tone. If it's possible to do a video on that I would greatly appreciate it! I've been searching all over youtube for a tutorial or someone with a similar coloring style to mine and I can't find anyone, I stumbled on your video today ❤

I never had colored pencils before, just watercolor pencils that was given to me as a gift by one of my aunts.. Also I never tried using markers and colored pencils together in an artwork before, so your video just made me wanna try and find out if those kind of pencils are okay(?) to be used together with my markers.. Btw once you've finished that sketchbook senpai, pleaaaaaaase do a sketchbook tour~

How many layers did you use? I'm also surprised about the one comment about the pooling ink, I've noticed slight curling with my render sketchbook if I do a full page landscape or something, but I've never even had a multi layer black marker show through at all

Hi! Idk if you're talking about me! I'm wondering if there is a defect in a certain model or if I got a fake or something from amazon. I can't even seem to lay down a single flat wash, and it pools almost instantly no matter how fast and light I am... I was not talking about bleeding through, mine doesn't bleed at all!
