I've played 2004 and Round 2. Haymakers in Round 2 are overpowered as hell to the point that A.I might abuse it and you couldn't move and block at the same time in 2004. They're both fun in their own ways.
#1 Fight Night Round 2 (9.4) #2 Fight Night Champion (7.7) #3 Fight Night Round 4 (7.6) #4 Fight Night 2004 (8.1) #5 Fight Night Round 3 PS2 version (7.5)
I enjoy playing Champion, but after playing them all back to back, it feels similar to the UFC games. It feels off somehow. Like in order to reset your lean, you have to drop your guard, how blocking is a spamfest, and the stamina management is watered down to a peekaboo tactic. There isn't pressure to dodge or evade, just hold block. I'd say to go back and play them all back to back to get a refresher
@@IVSAKENSOUL Champion motions felt very fluent to me. The punching mechanics felt realistic. ‘04 was the best all around game but it felt acadish. Round 3 did the best simulating boxing. Knockout Kings 2000 is my first boxing game lol. Round 2 was trash but I would still put it over round 4

Fight night champion has better graphics than round 4 but round 4 has a higher resolution so for me looks better, because it’s sharper and champion is only marginally better graphically. Champion gameplay felt more arcadey for me. Round 4 is my favourite. Especially because it’s 1080p on ps3. I still have it for my ps3. I’ll probably get back champion and round 3 to play on my 360 s now that I recently purchased another 360 and they ain’t likely to make anymore fight night games. Round 4 is my favourite boxing game then after that I’d say knock out kings 2001 on the PlayStation 2. It’s roster had pretty much everyone but Mike Tyson like most games back then no one could get the license for him until he brought out his own game, Mike Tyson heavy weight boxing by codemaster for the OG Xbox and ps2. What I liked about knock out kings 2001 as well was that they scanned the actual boxers bodies into the game and it is one of the few to include female boxing so the class range is greater than most.
For me Champion, Round 4, 04, Round 3 Champion to me has the best balance, as well as Round 4.. the customization for those was weaker sadly, along with the training modes, loved the implementation of cut man& round based performance to address what we wanted to take care of (stamina, health, block meter)
I wish the block meter stayed, Champion let's you cheese it, but they added some dynamics to it. You can tell some punches slide through the block as you progress. They need to remaster these games, or at least release a new one.
I only have an xbox 360, would you reccomend round 4 first then? I'd like to play with Marvellous Marvin Hagler? Fight night 2004 looks great. The ps2 era 2004 -2005 was amazing for sports games.
Personally I disliked TPC, so Round 4 was a bummer, and even then I love Round 3 too much. Anyone else love the Rocky PS2/Xbox game? It introduced me to boxing games and helped me move from Rocky to Fight Night.
In all my years of playing fight night 2004, several details I’ve never experienced. Like the names on the trunks, glitched hair , no eyebrows, no tattoos.. Never knew the fix for that but would’ve been nice

FNR3 was my favorite. For some reason I just kicked ass in that game, so it was a lot of fun for me. When Round 4 came out, all my old methods stopped working and I was getting way less KO/TKOs and had more fights going to decision. Less fun for me. I did like Champion more than Round 4 though, but still think Round 3 felt the best. I had Fight Night Round 3 on PS2 and PS3 and honestly I felt like the PS2 version was better. Graphics weren't as good but movement felt a lot smoother. Think I ended up trading in my PS3 FNR3 because I only played the PS2 one. I'd wish for a new Fight Night but I feel like EA would just mess it up... I'd rather just get a nice HD remake of FNR3 lol
I instantly stopped watching this video because I came across something I disagree with. Round 4 objectively has the best and most fluid boxing. Much more accurate to boxing on tv than 2004 is.
That's fine. I do appreciate your honesty. It's only second best to 2004 because I am a fan of ragdoll physics, and the gameplay of 2004 is brutal. Round 4 is the most polished one imo, but I am a sucker for the KO's in 2004.
@@zachhall8043 nah he’s right I have all of the fight nights and round 4 is the smoothest boxing game with solid graphics and physics engine. The height and reach of the boxer play a major role as well.

Champion far from the best the developers stopped caring and ruined the game. The fighters get tired if they fight 3 minute rounds. Game only runs good on 2 minute rounds and in greatest of all time difficulty the computers stamina stays at 100. Cheesy.

Fight Night 2004 my favorite fight night game .
I've played 2004 and Round 2. Haymakers in Round 2 are overpowered as hell to the point that A.I might abuse it and you couldn't move and block at the same time in 2004. They're both fun in their own ways.
ah the "early to the late 90s", my favorite part of the 90s
#1 Fight Night Round 2 (9.4)
#2 Fight Night Champion (7.7)
#3 Fight Night Round 4 (7.6)
#4 Fight Night 2004 (8.1)
#5 Fight Night Round 3 PS2 version (7.5)
I agree
FNR3 is the best by a country mile, brutal ko's
Thanks for doing such an enjoyable and useful review! Is the 1st Person view available in Round 4 and Champion?
Nah
I never played fight night, but I'm planning on buying one for my ps3 or 360. Which one should I get?
Ps3
2004, i played soooooo much of that game
1. Champion
2. ‘04
3. round 3
4. Knockout Kings 2000
5. Round 2
@@IVSAKENSOUL I didn’t mind the block, the longer you held it the weaker the block was so it wasn’t to hard to get through
@@IVSAKENSOUL Champion motions felt very fluent to me. The punching mechanics felt realistic. ‘04 was the best all around game but it felt acadish. Round 3 did the best simulating boxing. Knockout Kings 2000 is my first boxing game lol. Round 2 was trash but I would still put it over round 4
@@treydub round 4 is a lot better then round 2 but round 2 had better cutman and showed punch stats between rounds. Round 2 had too many cheesy haymakers everyone complained about it and they slowed it down drastically in round 3 until round 4 they completely took out the haymakers.
Tbh I’ve never played any fight night game which one would be the best to pick up?? Torn between round 4, 2004, or champion, help pls all the ones I’ve named look fuckin dope man
If you want to play online, get Champion. I'd recommend playing 4 and 2004, because the gameplay is more fun than Champion. Champion feels like an arcade game
@@IVSAKENSOUL Thankyou so much for that bro appreciate ur advice can’t believe I’ve slept on these games all my life always been a fifa kind of guy and COD 🤣Thankyou brother great video btw keep doin ur thing and behalf of ur subscribers we appreciate you gettin back to our comments not many do that so Thankyou 👍
@@kamikaze-xj9iv thanks! If you play on Xbox, 2004 is backwards compatible with 360. Also, Champion can be played on Series X and down
I only like Round 3.
Round 3 is beautiful, but I see why you like it. It stands out gameplay wise amongst them all
Round 2 looking good.
I was using the PCSX2 footage for this i believe.
I literally can't find any video of the mitts training in fn 2004🤣
Fight night champion had very poor fighter cuts and damage, the graphics were amazing but the blocking from the opponent would get annoying
The blocking is 🗑, but the graphics and accessibility make it better that it actually is
Fight night champion has better graphics than round 4 but round 4 has a higher resolution so for me looks better, because it’s sharper and champion is only marginally better graphically.
@14:55 I’m crying 😂😂😂 he was letting him have it
lol that's my favorite part of 2004
😆😅😂
damn 7 months ago this still pretty early ig
Round 3 is the best and does not look rubbery and cartoony like the others.
Does anyone know if you can play fight night 2004 on the Xbox 360?
2004 and round 3 are my favorites
Two amazing games! You getting ESBC??
If it ends up being good, I will for sure
Who tf is Robert Duran i only know Roberto Duran🤣 nice content btw
EA needs to make a new fight night for console and pc.
“Fight night round champion” 😂 hell yeah brother 🤘
For me Champion, Round 4, 04, Round 3
Champion to me has the best balance, as well as Round 4.. the customization for those was weaker sadly, along with the training modes, loved the implementation of cut man& round based performance to address what we wanted to take care of (stamina, health, block meter)
I wish the block meter stayed, Champion let's you cheese it, but they added some dynamics to it. You can tell some punches slide through the block as you progress. They need to remaster these games, or at least release a new one.
@@IVSAKENSOUL champion is cheesy with the blocking that is facts.
You forgot Round 2
But to be fair Round 2 has mayweather in it so you have an excuse
I only have an xbox 360, would you reccomend round 4 first then?
I'd like to play with Marvellous Marvin Hagler?
Fight night 2004 looks great. The ps2 era 2004 -2005 was amazing for sports games.
Round 4 is a MUST play
@@IVSAKENSOUL yeah? It's interesting how everyone seems to have a different fave ha. I like the look of 3 and 2004.
Round 4 looks good too!
Yes get round 4 it’s the best one.
Round 3 has the best graphics though
Champion should have been No 1
Have you played the other Fight Nights?
False not even top 3
Definitiv FNC
@@IVSAKENSOUL havent
Personally I disliked TPC, so Round 4 was a bummer, and even then I love Round 3 too much. Anyone else love the Rocky PS2/Xbox game? It introduced me to boxing games and helped me move from Rocky to Fight Night.
Round 3 best boxing game ever. Best game play. Please bring this game back with better roster better graphics same amazing game play. Hello 👋
I respect you for putting 2004. We need a remastered 2004 for 2024
lmao yeah this guys not a real boxing fan he tried and posed like one for a while till he said Robert duran and didnt know who the Klitchkos were
🤣🤣🤣
1.Round 2
2.Round 3
3.Round 4
4.Champion
5.2004
Sadly never played 2004 but did play Knockout Kings prior.
Mine would go
1 Round 3
2 Round 4
3 Champion
4 Round 2
In all my years of playing fight night 2004, several details I’ve never experienced. Like the names on the trunks, glitched hair , no eyebrows, no tattoos.. Never knew the fix for that but would’ve been nice
What are you talking about? Think I missed that part sounds interesting can you explain more?
@@earlyculyer4103so I played Fight Night 2004 on original XBOX for years and basically in the character creation, everything I described is exactly what I experienced. Never learned how to fix it
Champion wins for me because the blocking makes u better. Makes u set up yo power punches to get past blocks.
Fight night champion & fight night 2004 easily top 2
Champion looks next gen in some aspects, and 2004 has timeless controls. Two great games
Fight night round 3 had the best engine
It did have a unique atmosphere, and on PS3/360! Can only imagine if the older ones were brought to next gen
👍
Loved round 3 for the cuts and fixing the cuts
I instantly stopped reading this comment because I came across something I disagree with
@@zachhall8043 😂 with the quickness
@@zachhall8043 nah he’s right I have all of the fight nights and round 4 is the smoothest boxing game with solid graphics and physics engine. The height and reach of the boxer play a major role as well.
Fight night round 3 was the best and last best boxing game
I'm with you on that one Champ 🥊🥊🔥🔥
FNC
Round 2 my fav I ain’t gone cap it feels realer than all the fight nights ion know what your talking bout it doesn’t seem like they hitting them round 2 is top tier and before it’s time in my opinion
Bruh this was my lineup and to this day 2004 is the best they had everything right the first time speed and power with the combos
Career mode is the most important aspect for me. So far, nothing comes close to Fight Night Round 3 on PSP...You can have 3 fights in the same month
Round 2 all day
Round 2 does have the best haymakers tho 👊🏼💥
That was my favorite I miss healing them in the corner
They need to bring it back
@@Punisher5791 the corner was the best in round 2 felt like hbo boxing corner they showed punch stats between rounds
Champion is the best. Still slaps on Series X. Champion mode was entertaining but Isaac Frost was so nasty
Champion far from the best the developers stopped caring and ruined the game. The fighters get tired if they fight 3 minute rounds. Game only runs good on 2 minute rounds and in greatest of all time difficulty the computers stamina stays at 100. Cheesy.
Sure the best is Champion.
Why don't they make them anymore?
Fight round 3 on the PSP was the best for me.
I just copped that for my psp too
Sama aja gameplaynya sama round 2 di ps2 itu round 3 yg psp.. Bagusan round 3 ps2 bro, beda bgt sama round 3 psp
