This is my FIRST documentary style video. Took longer than anticipated because I had to emulate the older titles, and write the longest script ever lol. Thank you for watching!
This should be in NETFLIX… I am the biggest Fight Night fan… I one the Buffalo, NY tournament but I wasn’t gonna pay to fly out to Las Vegas for the finals. But I got the T-Shirt for winning… it was pretty dope. It’s sad they stole the new engine for fight night on EA UFC 2
@@greg6162 appreciate that man. That's dope tho. The competitive scene is making a comeback, and I wonder how ESBC will handle that. You should try and win the belt
Damn Man, This is Great Retrospective of A series I've been playing since Knockout Kings 2000. I stumbled upon this channel while playing Fight Night 2004 on my PS2. This details the evolution of the series but also points out what we're missing from older games.
Top Tier. Thank you for the hard work. It was needed for this genre. Sidenote: my history with the franchise dates back to KK 2000. There's not a better game on the PS1
It’s crazy how Round 4 isn’t getting a lot of love. I always see comments like Fight Night 2004 and Fight Night Round 3 the best. Also this was freaking amazing!
For me it was 2004 and Round 3… they were the best balanced, which trumps graphics all day long IMO. The combos were smoother and more fluid. Now Fight Night round 2 was the worst
@@IVSAKENSOUL no problem brotha I’m honored myself being early of witnessing a great channel like yours... if I may suggest, maybe you can make a video on your predictions/wishlist for potential fighters to be added onto ESBC? Would really love your insights bro... all love and have a great day!!
Tbf with E.a and fight night champion we give E.a (rightly so) a lot of stick for just keeping the same game every year so it was nice they tried something different. Also bare knuckles was soo much fun. Happily payed for that dlc.
The graphics on these games especially the later ones hold up sooo well. I would love so much for a new one. I used to play so many matches just as Tyson and beating the f out of people for hours. Stunning game. Amazing series. Disgusting it’s disappeared. I genuinely remember every day I got the game for the first day and booting it up. Like I remember the exact time day and what I did that whole day for everyone one of these games. Nothing too special but I played and got fight night.
Great video! Appreciate the in-depthness; especially the fact that you went into the boxing games made by EA prior to Fight Night. Definitely gained a new sub!
Really gotta say it..i Salute thats really beyond amazing and i wish they just to think to make a new one but with a new generation online head to head matchs to can really be the best of the best
My mannnn.... You did an awesome job on the narration, very creative writing and even the way you delivered your words sounded very professional! Keep working! 👊 @IGN cut the kid a cheque!!!
You absolutely nailed this man! Great work. I miss this series so much. I'm not a UFC fan and want a really good boxing game on PS5. I heard they released a game called Undisputed but I haven't seen a copy at any stores or been able to download it. i wonder if a copy of Fight Night Champion from PS3 would work on PS5 because it's backwards compatible. If it is, I'm ordering that bad boy online today!
Great documentary bro. Props for the amount of work put in here. Well done ✊. Think I'm going to go with your reccomendation from a previous video of yours were we interacted, and pick up Fight night round 4, ✌️.
I haven’t owned a console since ps2 and xbox360! About to buy a ps4 used at 35. Mannnnn I just googled fight night to see if they still make it. What a bummer. Fight night games were my favorite! Those haymakers!! The way it went slow motion. That game was epic! Dude they need to bring it back. What a bummer. I highly doubt undisputed comes close to the fun arcade play as fight night. They need to bring it back. It’ll be huge man. It was def before it’s time back then before boxing was even getting super popular back then as it is now. I’m talking round 2 when I was in high school
Yup 💯!!! That’s my exact order as well… the first Fight Night was the best! Even if combos weren’t meant for the buttons… there was a timing delay that made you feel like you were connected to your fighter and throwing straight heat. Parry was a little unrealistic but it worked because it balanced the game and made you think strategically about every punch thrown. Button mashers got schhmaaacked!! Timing was everything and more importantly you had to figure out your opponent’s style and pattern. It’s #1 for me because the controls were so intuitive I felt like I was really connected to my fighter. Although you couldn’t punch moving footwork was probably the best footwork for realistic movement and just the balance scale. You had to get set to punch but you could stick and move if you couldn’t go toe to toe with someone. Being ranked #30-#40 average and always in the top #100 I had a lot of guys jab and run winning fights against me until I learned how to cut the ring off. There was a skill to everything but nothing was OP and any good competitive true sports game is going to have an advanced rock/paper/scissors approach… meaning you can adjust and counter attack when your opponent’s throw the same punch or combo…. Ahhh the memories!!
I don't think we'll ever see a mechanically accurate boxing sim again. I think any new boxing games will have online competition in mind which doesn't result in the most immersive experiences.
The only ones in the franchise i like due to its technical nature was FNR2 and FNR3 but ill stick with traditional fighting games....they are way more technical and have better staying power
Honestly I'm upset EA is simply not making another game.
