The game is far better than much of Ubisoft's open world work product over the last several years. It's got some heart and some charm to it. It does not deserve the hate that it has received over the last many weeks.

I have a similar history with ubisoft but i've started with Prince of Persia Sands of Time, and man, i agree 100% with everything you said, ubisoft is really going through a redemption arc, and this game is really amazing, im 40ish hours in and having an absolute blast with it, from details like the shots hitting stormtroopers tha look exactly like the og trilogy, to the nix (such a good boy) treasures activities, this game is simply too damn fun, really liked your channel, keep up with the good work.
Meh, looking at their stock price and general consensus, the opposite is true. They've hit a dip and are riding it down. I didn't really enjoy the little bit of the game I played. Soulless, generic, bland world that felt like Star Wars was tacked on. That's just me, though.

Guys is there a tutorial on how to bring the sniper rifle down or up a stairs? The woman doesn't appear to be strong enough to carry it with her.
.........so many people are on the bandwagon of negativity towards this game and MOST of those people have never even touched the game! You don't get to have a say unless you've played it.
Yes you do dude. There are people out there that have been playing games ever since Pong came out. A lot of gamers are veterans by now and they know what the fck they are talking about. You can definitely base a negative opinion on facts you know about a game you have not played.
@@mmvdleest1733 - Ever hear the saying "don't knock it til you try it"? - same thing applies here....unless you have your hands on it, nobody can trust what you're saying. Oh, and I'm 50 - pretty sure I'm older and so, I know what I'm talking about too.
@@2SanJunipero I respect you for being older than me but I disagree still. I can 100% tell if a game is trash without playing it simply by observing facts about a game. Star Wars outlaws is trash for example, dont need to try it before I knock it.
@@mmvdleest1733 - Well, thank you - I guess. To each their own. I was worried I wouldn't like this game, after all the negativity about it, until I got my hands on it and started going through it - no, it's not for everyone, but it IS for me. I find myself WANTING to keep going through it and not choosing to touch any of my other games.

Thanks for the positive review. It's refreshing. As a gamer I am enjoying it as well, but It is too clunky and a bit too linear. As a SW fan it's just nice to get into this world from this perspective. No bugs for me so far.

You bought it? You played it? im getting tired of this bandwagon mentality. People nowadays are deciding if a game will be good or 'trash' before it even releases. Its all about falling in line with the trend- what most people say that becomes your opnion. Apparently having a personality and ones own opinion have fallen out of fashion, thanks social media... anyway out of fashion but not dead. Theres still those of us out there that judge things by ourselves.
I had fun. Game is far from perfect but i never 'required' perfection from games, heck im a eurojank AA enjoyer myself. People want to miss on fun its their prerrogative tough. I got to enjoy Elden ring(popular to like), Outlaws(unpopular) next im eyeing wukong... and some of my favorite games of all time were never popular...
I will take my opnion over others any and everyday. Even more so when others opnion is trend following, hating on games they didnt even play. This is borderline insanity really
I am with you on the fact that Ubi seems to learn their lesson slowly but constantly, like Valhalla, Farcry 6 and in particular Skull & Bones were the last bad dreams this studio was producing since about 10 years. I heard that Outlaws is on the contrary by far not as bad as people want it to be. The thing with an ugly main char I don't buy into. If this is a game breaker for some guys, they should defintely question their motives on playing games.
I am, however, still not convinced that this will help the company get back on their feet in time. They took much too long to understand that what they did already 10 years ago was seen very critical by consumers. And maybe this is all too late. And there is still this thing with Shadows that made them look extraordinarily bad in terms of dealing with criticism, calling critical voices simply racist and trying to navigate through the storm of historical accuracy they created themselves by first claiming the scenario to be mostly accurate and then - when this claim did not stand a chance - running back to "creative freedom". Ubisoft simply has become the same hypocritical mess like EA or ActivisionBlizzard. I still don't buy it, neither their process of "waking up" nor their games. And until further notice, I wouldn't mind if them and EA and a couple of other cut-throats would go doen the drain. If you see gaming as an investment venture only to be kept alive by sales numbers and stocks because the development budget already surpassed every reasonable line, you will destroy the industry. No one on the players side needs constant growth.

Personally, I did not enjoy The Acolyte, and I find Ubisoft’s formulaic open world games, which are essentially Far Cry with a new paint job, to be immensely boring and repetitive. That said, I appreciate that Game Pass Daily is willing to share his subjective opinion about the merits of the game, without couching his viewpoint in the widely popular and ongoing Disney-Ubisoft bashing.
It is refreshing to get a take on the game, which focuses on its mechanics without the added baggage. I’m still not convinced that I would enjoy the game or that the story is any good, but I still appreciate the candor from Game Pass, and I’m glad that he at least finds it enjoyable. For that, you have me as a new subscriber, Game Pass! 👍

you got a new sub, one of the only people who has said ubi gives alot of game for the money.
literally got my save bugged to where i cant go to orbit. thought it was quest locked so i beat the game now i cant go to space lmao. trash trash trash. thats an insane bug to leave in the game and still be there. it seriously could be a goated game if they had a competent developer behind it. the movement / feel is janky if it felt more like survivor with a little more freedom i think it could have been amazing. its too on rails, the faction shit is a good idea but executed poorly missions are repetitive copy and paste shit besides the story and even then that gets repetitive. compare it to jedi survivor which you have no idea where its going next it kinda just fizzled out.. they definitely rushed it

Admittedly, i haven't played this game because I've been boycotting ubisoft since assassins creed odyssey. I've watched a ton of content on this game because i wanted it to be good. I respect everyone having their own opinion, but this game is the safest thing I've seen in a while. Everything ubisoft has put out in the past decade has been aggressively mediocre. If you think this game is good, i suggest you look outward at similar games to see what you're missing

Yes I agree the game been fun for me 2 not as bad as people's say it is I been playing since day one without issues if you can get pass all the woke talk and all u will have a good time with the game coming from someone who's not starwars fan and a gamer who has been with playstation since ps1
