    What make Bolt, speed runner, great is technique. However, what he does off of the track is key. Eating, exercise, mental strength. Also, Michael Phelps has big hands, big feet, and long legs. What do they do to overcome those disadvantages?

  • @robohippy
    @robohippy 10 місяців тому

    One thing I have wondered about for a while is oxygen levels as you swim. For sure, if you go into debt, then you can not get it back. Watching the young woman using the 2, 2, 4 breathing pattern, I am wondering if she builds up an oxygen debt as compared to what a 2, 2, 2, breathing pattern would do. Think I saw one swimmer with one of those oxygen level things on his finger. I have guessed that it may be the reason Ariarne Titmus can beat Katie up to the 400 level, but not at the 800+ level....

    • @TheSwimsuitGuy
      @TheSwimsuitGuy  10 місяців тому

      She alternatives 2 and 4. On Adam’s finger is microphone

    • @robohippy
      @robohippy 10 місяців тому

      Well, never heard of the finger microphone. Being able to track oxygen levels could be handy. As some one who has to breath every other arm stroke, that breathing pattern seems strange. I tried for years to breath every 3rd stroke, and could never make more than 100 yards before I was gasping. Thanks for the reply.

    • @TheSwimsuitGuy
      @TheSwimsuitGuy  10 місяців тому

      @@robohippy it has a clip, for the shirt, Adam just put on his finger.
      Siobhan is better when she doesn’t breath so every 4 would be ideal but as you said, doesn’t allow quite enough oxygen so the 4-2 works for now.
